“Hello, I’m Gen Kenkins with Borman Interactive News. The president’s first major project was completed today. A massive wall has been erected around Borman at the cost of tens-of-thousands of laborers lives. It is 10 ft. thick and 40 ft. high with virtually unassailable slate on both sides. On top is electric barbed wire with a heaping of broken glass. Every 100 ft. massive towers arise with high power searchlights and snipers in the windows. Every 25 ft. anti aircraft guns comb the sky for enemies. Guard dogs and soldiers patrol the ramparts, ever watchful. Only three entrances are in the wall. They are massive portcullises with steel doors on both sides, which have internal locking devices. These can only be opened by a button in the center of the capital. The button is located in a secure room where men have video feeds of every tower and every gate. The feeds come from underground wires so there are no transmitted shots to be hijacked. Outside of the gates barbed wire, sandbags, and tanks make a perimeter protecting the gate area. Anyone trying to go through or over without the proper papers is shot. The president says ‘This wall will allow us to know who is coming in the country. If an invading army comes and knocks out part of the wall, we’ll just send our forces there.’ But it keeps people locked up inside the country, allowing only the richest or most powerful to come and go. Most people believe it was mainly built to keep people in and an impeachment is most likely not far off. Tune into the 10:00 news for continuing coverage on the story.”

OOC: Interesting. The costs of maintaining something like that would be a bit high don't you think? Wouldn't it be cheaper to just surround your nation with mines? Or introduce welfare programs?

President McGreevy walked out of the presidential building with his bodyguard/general at his side. Thousand of protestors had gathered at the front of the building calling for impeachment. McGreevy addressed the crowd

“My People, I have come to tell you something. You want a president who will allow you unlimited access to and from the country. And I say you will not get it, or elections, or impeachments for now you shall have a dictator! Or Co-Dictators.”

McGreevy got on his knees and leaned in towards his general.

“I love you, will you rule with me?!”

“NO, I rule alone!”

The general shot McGreevy in the face and kicked his corpse away.

“You shall call me Emperor Osmosius.”

“Hell no!”

A rock hit Osmosius in the head and another hit his family jewels.

“Wrong Choice!”

T-72 tanks rolled over protestors as snipers hit those trying to flee. Jeeps pulled up and mob police created a perimeter around the emperor. Other officers began firing at the people. When a Molotov cocktail hit an arriving jeep Mi-24 helicopters appeared in the air. Mini-guns mowed down lines of protestors as rockers and the fire from the soldiers inside took out resisting protestors. About an hour into the slaughter hundreds of armored civilian vehicles broke the perimeter and got to the protestors. Men wearing bulletproof vests and brandishing AK-47s got out and opened fire on the military. As many people as possible were ushered into the vehicles and when they were full they drove off. Almost all of the cars were destroyed but some managed to get away. When the slaughter was over Osmosius got on his phone.

“Send everything we have. Take down anyone who stands against us.”

He sat at his desk and smoked a Havana as he watched a replay of the slaughter.

“Hello and welcome back to BIN. I’m Gen Kennings with today’s breaking news. As emperor Osmosius viewed the carnage of destroyed rebel encampments a bomb took his life. Tomorrow his son Richard will be given the title of Emperor. The civil war that encased the empire quickly turned to a battle for freedom that can’t be won. The emperor’s soldiers have massacred and today only 3 major encampments of rebels exist. Many people are sure that when the big ones are removed the little ones will fold. Also…. Wait a minute. Apparently at this moment marines and secret police are preparing to engage the largest encampment. We have BIN’s Lisa Cambran on the scene; we’ll take you to her now.”

“Well Gen for the last couple of minutes MI-24 helicopters have been bombarding the rebels. I’ll let the camera explain the rest.”

The camera showed burning building with a barbed wire perimeter with a single opening. In the opening sandbags were piled on both side and a pole was mounted across them. A T-72 tank shot out from the marines and ran through the pole. It moved forward and fired into the doorway of the building on the right. More tanks followed and Mi-24 helicopters landed on roofs and let out teams of 8 soldiers. After the tanks finished with the secret police protecting their tracks marines entered the buildings. The screen shook as the view changed and Lisa appeared running into the closest building. Now the screen shoed a large room with a balcony accessed by two stairs. One staircase was missing the bottom half while the other had rebels protecting the bottom. Rebels on the balcony shot at marines while they returned fire. One marine set a Molotov cocktail on the ground and took out a grenade. He threw it behind th44e men guarding the stairwell and one went to grab it. Then he threw the Molotov cocktail. After the explosions he fired some shots from his AKM and then charged up the stairs with the marines behind him. On the balcony a door flew open and 8 marines cleared out a corner. As they started pouring out from the top of the staircase Lisa leaned in as if to say something. Before she could speak some bullets painted a deathly pattern on her head. A bullet flew by the camera and suddenly the view went sideways and part was the floor. Marines finished off the last of the rebels as the image changed to Gen.

“well…. uh. Tune into BIN for battle coverage.”

“Hello and welcome back to BIN, now emperor approved. Today emperor Richard was given the title of emperor as the military finished off all rebels with Anti-Personnel-Gas-Grenades or APG2. It is an airborne virus that is released from a steel canister. 5 seconds after the pin is pulled the virus is released. When it finds a host it immediately begins eating their digestive track. After three minutes whatever didn’t find a host dies and what did is no longer contagious. Then whoever lives is in excruciating pain and can’t hold a weapon against the soldiers that come charging in. As long as window vents and doors are closed the virus can be contained in a building. It mutates while in the host and dies so quickly a vaccine or cure is in no way possible. Only special military units will have it and it is rumored production rights will be sold for millions of dollars. Richard has agreed its use on any building resisting him in any way. APG2 grenades found on the person of any civilian will be confiscated and the person shot. Tune in at 10:00 for coverage on the most controversial issue, is the governor gay?”

Emperor Richard put the Glock in his mouth.

“If I can’t have kids I can’t live.”

His brains splattered on the back wall as his wife entered.

“The doctor was wrong, you can have…. OH MY GOD!”

Emperor Tirae immediately took power. As Richards’s younger brother he was the only real candidate. He sent an order to have the whole capital city bulldozed. It was to be rebuilt with security in mind and a more appealing architecture.

The next day: Tirae went into a white tent to see his doctor. He took a look at the vast amounts of bulldozers destroying the capital then closed the tent flap. He sat down in a chair and stuck out his arm.

“Blood pressure.”

The doctor wrapped a band around the emperor’s arm and used Velcro to secure it. He stood behind the emperor and used a ball to inflate the band. While he did this he pulled out a remote and hit the button on it. Tirae screamed as a needle came out of one side of his arm. The doctor flicked out a knife and slit the emperor’s throat. Marines rushed in to fins the doctor wiping blood of his hands.

“Who makes me emperor Alaric?”

“Hello I’m Gen Kennings. Today marks the day we’ve had five dictators in less than a week. The newly appointed emperor Alaric has stepped up his personal security and says that if he is killed his son will become emperor and his on and his and so on. If it happens that there is no son to take the place the highest-ranking general will become emperor.
Also the capital has finished being rebuilt, with no regard to the laborers who died in the construction. It has a barbed wire and sandbag perimeter with one access point. Important buildings such as intelligence buildings, military headquarters, and the palace have been expanded and built with security in mind. Buildings such as company headquarters and offices have had nothing built in their place and no reimbursement has been given to the people. The palace has two walls around it, both with their share of guards and towers on top. The outer wall has a gate facing the south and the inner wall has one facing the north. Every doorway and hallway had 5 marine guards. The throne room has a massive throne in the center with plush cushions and large swivel wheels on the bottom. On the left side is a desk where he can work and he has already drawn up plans for some changes and new laws.”

A large team of artisans and professional carvers stepped away from the work they were forced to do. At the entrance to the capital is a large marble slate. Carved on it are these words.

“All crimes punished by death from jaywalking and littering to murder. Light treason and all degrees before high treason shall be punished by 4 hours of torture. Then they shall be burned alive. High treason shall be punished by 4 days of torture and if they survive they shall be hung upside down and be sawed in half from the genitals down. All criminals property and funds shall be seized by the government.”

A man in purple robes walked out of the capital and viewed it.

“Very good. The emperor wants one erected at each entrance to the empire, get to work.”

The man, named Horatio, went up to a marine at the entrance.

“Tell every warden to let the prisoners go and warn them if they commit a crime again they will be killed.”

Horatio walked towards the palace.

“This will cause some sort of rebellion.”

The Perain, Killamarjano, and Fonician provinces are in open rebellion against the emperor mainly because of his new laws. Advisors, generals, and consultants were asking him what to do and telling him what to do. He didn’t have time to think.
Alaric stood up.

“GET OUT! All of you, guards too.”

All the people left and he locked the door. Alaric paced for several minutes then slipped on part of the velvet curtains. He knocked his head on the floor and awoke several hours later.

“That’s what I’ll do!”

Alaric depressed the intercom button.

“Send in my horse.”

“You don’t have a horse.”

“Send in my damn horse or ill slit your throat with a spoon!”

The doors, which Alaric had unlocked, opened as a white horse came in. He had a black belly and eyes that looked like Twinkies.

“Sit down, sit down.”

Alaric sat in his throne as the marines closed the door leaving him with the standing horse.

“I have a proposition for you. I want to make you my head general, and you shall be.”

The horse stood there.

“Fantastic! Your first assignment is to crush the rebels and restore order, execute anyone who lives.”

The horse moved a bit to the right.

“Yes you will get a salary, but I’ll start paying you after you destroy the rebels.”

The horse went towards the door.

“Yes, you should leave, get to work.”

Alaric depressed the intercom button.

“Make sure it is noted that my horse is now head general, send in my sons.”

“Yes sir.”

Two boys walked into the throne room.

“Yes dad?”

“I need to show you boys something.”

Alaric opened a drawer in the desk, he pulled out a desert eagle.

“Bastards, you wont stand in the way of my horse becoming emperor when I die. Before I shoot you, what shall I name my general?”

One son turned to run and was shot in the head.

“Call him Quentin.”

“Good name, you can live.”

“Really?”

“NO!”

A bullet ripped through the boy’s heart. Alaric put the gun down as his wife ran in.

“We got another boy, what happened here!?”

“Let me see him!”

Alaric grabbed the baby and ran to the balcony. He held him over and laughed. The wife beat his back screaming.

“Let him go!”

Alaric dropped the boy and watched him become jelly. She screamed and beat him. He turned her around and ripped off her clothes. He raped her for 20 minutes then threw her off the balcony and laughed maniacally. He ran out into the hall and began shooting everyone with an AK-47.

“Don’t challenge my general.”

He walked back in and sat in his throne.

“Soon, very soon.”

Quentin the horse vocalized as marines engaged the rebels.

“He said charge.”

“No, he said let the helicopters do it.”

“No he said let the tanks do it.”

“Don’t you idiots speak English? He said retreat.”

Quentin pushed a marine forward with his nose.

“Well I guess this Twinkie-eyed faggot wants us to charge, so CHARGE!”

Quentin was given a hero’s welcome as he rode into the capital inside an open top Rolls Royce limousine. He got to the palace and went into the throne room. Alaric talked with the horse while he locked everyone else outside.

“You are a great general. I have eliminated my family, so if I die you will become emperor, but don’t get any big ideas you Twinkie…. I mean general. Because your goodness is in your flavor…I mean your heart. Oh, to hell with it.”

Alaric pulled out his favorite spoon, nicknamed ‘Ol’ Reliable.’ He drove the spoon in Quentin’s left eye socket and pulled out the eye. He ate it and said,

“mmmmm..Twinkie.”

Quentin, bleeding from the eye pushed Alaric on the ground. He bit off his hand and then Alaric’s nose fell off. Quentin ate Alaric’s face as marines busted through the door. Quentin dripped blood from his mouth and eye as marines aimed their guns at him.

“Wait. He’s the general. So now he is emperor, if you shoot him, it’s considered high treason, and you know the price.”

The marines lowered their weapons as medics tried to help the enraged beast. Eventually they tranquilized him and fixed his eye. They hoped the reign of Quentin would be long and peaceful as well as prosperous.

Horatio entered the throne room.

“Um…. they say you can talk. So I’d like you to know that since your emperor I’m the head general, correct.”

The horse stood still and marines grabbed Horatio

“We’ll drag him out by his Wang, as you commanded sire.”

Horatio drew a desert eagle.

“Are you all mad? He is just sitting there.”

Horatio shot the horse in his right eye.

“That Twinkie won’t taste good.”

The marines laughed and said,

“All hail the new emperor and king of comedy, Horatio.”

Horatio worked with architects to design a second capital. When the plans were done he said,

“We shall call it Horopolis in name of yours truly. It shall be in the Fonician province.”

“But sir. That place is full.”

“That’s why I am having burn to the ground as we speak.”

“But sire we are right near that and it is madness.”

“Is it? Now take me to the roof, and bring my fiddle.

On the roof Horatio fiddled, quite poorly, as he watched the city in the Fonician province burn. Afterwards he treated himself to a dinner of meatballs and long noodles. Halfway though he chocked on a meatball. A marine tried the Heimlich maneuver but it seemed to make matters worse. Horatio died and the marine was sentenced for high treason.

“Hello and welcome back to BIN. Today Bhalk, Horatio’s son, was crowned emperor marking us having had 8 dictators in 10 days, one of them being a horse. Bhalk plans on making a constitution giving the peoples some rights but not many. He has hired construction companies to fix the damage in the Fonician province. He has however finished something in the time he was here. A division has been created with branches in every city. It is a fix division. Any building, government or home that needs fixing can be fixed for no fee at all. But if an expansion is desired they charge, but a couple of hundred dollars less than other companies. The division has already begun repairing buildings that are in need of it. Not that it matters in any way but Bhalk got a 40% approval rate after the creation, better than the 0% his dad had and the 10% he first had. Wait…it appears that a new order has been sent out. All unemployed and homeless persons are to go to the financial building in the Fonician district. There they will be given food, lodging, and work on rebuilding the city. After it is rebuilt they will be sent to diamond mines and receive jobs mining diamonds. They will also be given lodging, food, and a salary until they change jobs or get enough to get a house. Any homeless or unemployed not heading there should be told about it. After a week if they have not left the authorities will arrest and kill them. This will help combat the unemployment and homelessness. By tomorrow, if Bhalk is still alive or emperor we will bring you the constitution.”

The next day:

“To the surprise of almost everyone Bhalk is still emperor. I’m Gen Kennings with BIN. Bhalk’s approval rating has gone to 87% after the constitution was released. It is as follows:

Borman Constitution
Article 1-crime
All crimes except treason shall be punished by death. Officers, secret police, police, and members of the military may kill anyone they see commit a crime such as speeding, jaywalking, littering, etc. Crimes where the criminal is not present such as murders will have investigators. When a suspect is found and 3 or more sources of evidence point them to the crime they shall face hanging.
-Treason
All degrees before high treason shall be punished by 4 hours of torture and then the person shall be burnt.
High treason is punished by 4 days of torture and if the person is still alive they shall be hung upside down and be sawed in half from the genitals down.
The government shall seize all criminal’s property and funds.

Article 2-Housing, jobs, and income.

Housing-
All people in need of their house being repaired shall receive it from the Fix Division. All people without houses shall report to the nearest diamond mine where they will find housing, employment and money.
Jobs-
Unemployed shall report to the nearest diamond mine for housing, employment, and money.
Income-
Minimum wage is $2.50 an hour.

Article 3-Taxes
Minimum tax is 10% of income. Maximum is 60% of income. It may be exceeded in times of need when 2/3 or more of the imperial advisors agree to it, or the emperor says so.

Article 4-Buisnesses
Businesses shall be allowed like capitalism. Any business must visit the capital and speak to a guard to have a building advisor come to see them. Upon meeting them the building advisor must approve the business and what it does as well as the name. At any time the government or any branch of military or police may temporarily or permanently stop any business.

Article 5-Military
To retire at any age any person must have served at least 2 years in the military or 10 in the police. At any time a draft may be issued to draft any age, ethnic, race, sex, experience, and employment group. The military, as well as the police, is an extension of the Emperor, any assault in any form on them is considered light treason. The military will train soldiers to be fearless and emotionless, if any one person or group of persons cannot pass training they shall be sent back to the empire and receive minimum wage for whatever job they do. The military also reserves the right to take any child they wish to train from birth to become a life-long soldier. All soldiers will be given a period of time when they go to train with martial arts experts and gun experts. They will be able to do hand-to-hand with the best of them and have an impeccable hand with firearms.

Article 6-Civil defense
Every citizen upon entering the age of 18 shall report to the nearest military building for civil defense training. For the next two weeks they will undergo military training and then be sent home. Every two years they will take the two-week course again maintaining and building upon what was previously learned. This way when a draft is issued the people will have a much easier time with training and be able to defend themselves from assailants.

Article 7-old age
Upon turning 65 you are labeled an Oldie. You lose your license and if you haven’t already served in the military you are sent to join up. You can only have jobs that don’t directly affect the empire such as advisor, scientist, inventor, builder, etc.

When you become 100 you are sent to the diamond mines. If you do not meet the certain quota, you are killed.

Article 8-healthcare
Healthcare shall be in no way free unless you served 40 or more years in the military. If you did any form of healthcare ranging from medicine to life saving operations shall be given for free.

Article 9-influence
If any person such as an advisor, general, or common Joe tries to assume power over or equal to the emperor or influence the empire in any way it is considered high treason.

Article 10-Country access
People may ask for country access and exit. If they are approved then they must set up how long they will be gone and where they will be at least 10 years in advance. At any time during the wait their plea may be cancelled and their chance for that year gone.

Article 11-Freedoms
Speech-You may say whatever you wish whenever you wish so long as it does not in any way create slander towards the government or relate in any way to treason.
Press-You may tell any story in any way you wish ant any time so long as it does not slander the government or relate in any way to treason.
Assembly-Anyone may assemble anywhere they want to protest, demonstrate, or fund-raise, for whatever they want at any time so long as it does not slander the government or relate to treason in any way.
Religion-You may practice any religion so long as it is not related to any currently engaged enemy or long-standing enemy and it does not slander the government or relate to treason in any way.
Drugs-All drugs legal, all available at pharmacies.

Only the emperor may censor things.

Article 12-Succession
When the current emperor dies if his son is over the age of 18 he may become emperor. If he isn’t the emperor’s brother or if he has no brother the highest-ranking general will take the title until the son is 18. If there is no son the emperor’s brother will become emperor. If the emperor dies with no son or brother then the highest-ranking general will become emperor. At no time, may a female become emperor.

The emperor reserves the right to do whatever he wishes whenever he wishes.

With this constitution people will have more rights then ever before, besides when they were a democracy, and have a solid line of succession.”

Diplomatic Message from the Commonwealth of the Royal Confederation-

Emperor of the Borman Empire, we hearby greet you in the name of the Royal Confederation. We here at the Foreign Office are interested in your nation, we are also willing to sell you arms as well as military advisors under our Military Advisory Plan. We also offer up to 500 special forces to help train your military. We will not however condone any use of biological or chemical weapondry, if at any time you use such weapons we will revoke all military support.

Due to the differences in our training standards, we can not train leaders since we value individual thought on the battle field and value individual soldiers lives. We can however teach you to use weapons systems and some tactics, we also offer you up to 80 M113 Armored Personnel Carriers, 80 C1 105mm Howitzers, 150 Iltis Jeeps, 300 Carl Gustav M1 Rocket Launchers, 60 Bren L4 Light Machine Guns, 5,000 C7 assault rifles, and 50,000 FN FAL assault rifles. We will sell you this whole bundle of equipment for a mere 20,000,000 confederation dollars (18 million american). We understand that this equipment is rather dated, however can be of considerable use to a smaller nation such as yours. It can equip a full mechanized infantry battalion as per confederation standards as well as a whole field artillery regiment. You would also have a considerable stock of light weapons in reserve for use by police and civil defense.

We would also be interested in opening an embassy on your soil at your capital, which would be guarded by a detachment of our troops and would be considered Confederation Soil.

Borman accepts but can not guarantee that during civil revoloutions or rebellions your embassy will be safe. We would allsow like to establish a military base and embassy in your nation. And we would of course wish and encourage you to create a military base.

The Royal Confederation has a policy of no foreign military bases on our soil, however we do allow sections of our armed forces bases to be used by foreign military bases. The main base for this is the transfer point at Lands End, the massive harbour facilities and air facilities very useful in any transport by air or by sea, as well as a highway inland to Myricle which connects to the bridge to the capital of Farnath. If civil war or unrest comes to your nation, the Royal Military can evacuate our citizens and help secure our embassy in a few hours, due to our Rapid Reaction Force, which has units on standby for such issues. We do welcome you to build an embassy in our capital city of Farnath however.
