Proposed Technologies for when I move to Future Tech

Screw it, I'm making a new topic with a better title.

OOC: Neat. I think I'll create a future tech puppet, I'm still working on writing up a RP to introduce them, and working on weapons. Wormholes are fun(I'll be in the Greater Magellic Cloud linked to the Milky Way viva wormhole).

Y'know, with the sudden influx of Future Tech...

The more hostile races, now that the Shivans aren't much of a problem anymore, are going to have a LOT of target practice...

OoC: Do I count as part of this influx O_o?

I've been planning and working on this for months...Just decided to introduce it all today.

Yup, kinda.

Newly spacetech nations tend to be either godmoders or easy prey. Very rarely will a good balance be struck.

One nation in particular to watch out for: Neo-Mekanta. Their policy is that only those they're allied with aren't enemies, and even allies are carefully watched. They also have some of the most powerful non-godmod weapons and really dangerous production capacity. Good people to ally with. Bad to piss off.

OoC: Ah. Interesting. Still, I'd really like to see someone go after my nation once I make the transition. Though the technologies I'll use will be quite powerful, enough that some will scream god-mode, I can assure you that everything I do will be properly researched and are actual theoretical concepts in today's world. For instance, the negatively curved space thing I have in my initial post is the only modern working theory for faster than light travel. The worm-hole thing is quite understood, and we could actually do it if we could find a way to reach the Planck energy. I'm actually being kind of lenient, because wormholes are also supposed to be able to permit time travel, which I'm ignoring and planning on making up some excuse for time travel being impossible.

Looks quite nice.
I hope you will consider the IM for your futuretech needs, particularly GLACORP, if your nation has the budget, our ships are some of the best you can get.
Ill only link if you want it, Im not into ad spamming ;)
The BlackWolf Order

Of course, this makes me think of an issue.....how do I shift my focus from the "Modern-Age" to the future, without loosing all the production capacity, and, quite honestly, starting from ground zero for everything. The Order's been around longer than a good chunk of the nations around these days...and not many nations really decide to 'make the switch'....then again..I've just built my first starship in the Modern Age through salvaging the crashed remains of two others...and its going to take the Kestrels back to the Future where they came from...

Pardon me if this isnt making much sense...but anyway...

Once I bring them to the 'future' from the 'past' where everything is taking place now, am I permitted to convert everything over to space? Or once I bring the Kestrels back to the future, do I have to start over building from scratch, despite the Order's infrastructure already having been in place?

I guess it depends on how continuous you want your nation's story to be. You can, of course, convert everything to future tech without saying anything, or you could do what I'm doing and write up the whole transition. It all pivots on what you're willing to do.

Your stuff seems really impressive and well thought out. but your story while really good does create one problem with other space tech nations: your antion in effect represetns an earth centric empire which could cuase conflcit with others whose "stoires" involve earth or humanity.

other than that its all super duper much better than the random vague tachyon projector things i "invented" (read ripped off a bunch of sci bits and bobs) ages ago.

I'll be sure to mention something to do with the amazingly low chance that another Earth-like planet existed in orbit around a middle-aged yellow sun with 8 other non-Earth-like planets also in the system along with an asteroid belt between the fourth and fifth planets, etc etc >_>

Crap, I missed this.

Anyway, I'm sorry DGEH, but I won't be able to buy anything from you. My nation is essentially isolated from the galactic community until it is really too late, and we've already created technologies that we trust far more than anything imported.

I'm impressed. I'm trying to make my futuretech nation as realistic as possible for what I have planned as well.

And I must say, a 30 light-minute diameter accelerator.. WOW.

Yes, it took well over a hundred and fifty years to complete, and it required the devouring of several unused stars(And collecting the materials isn't even factored into those 150 years).

Gyah, what is with the whole "I'll post to flame a n00b for his bad Rping, but I won't post to critique the hard-work of another poster" attitude around Nationstates?
