The Imperial Layartebian Navy, has decided to retire our fleet of Ohio Class SSBNs in favor of a new class of SSBNs under development. We currently have thirty-six Ohio class SSBNs. Twelve of these will be converted to SSGN and kept while the remaining twenty-four are sold to approved countries.
They will not be sold with weaponry or reactor fuel. They will be towed to the location you wish and delivered. If you could like us to conver them to SSGN there will be an additional fee. They are in excellent condition and still have, at minimum, forty to sixty years remaining. MLU programs have basically extended their life this far and they will be, at the time of retirement, in better condition than most submarines out there. None have actually been used on combat, just used in patrols.
This is a great sub for new countries and those just starting their navy. They are low cost, easy to maintain, and very reliable. Hell, the US has been using them for well over 20 years now and they are, in the world, the best FBMs. Many may argue the Typhoon but the sound of a Typhoon and the sound of a Ohio in the water are drastically different. The Typhoon has two propellars, small ones at that, meaning more RPMs and more noise. The Ohio has one propellar, a large one, meaning less RPMs and less noise.
