Good evening. As some of you may know, two days ago, Her Highness Queen Rachel Romalia was murdered by a suicide bomber while giving a speech. Why anyone would want to kill her, even while she was bettering the country by providing new jobs and legalizing free enterprise, is beyond my comprehension. I thank the numerous countries who have already sent their condolences.

The Queen is to have her funeral at Highfather International Stadium, following speeches by those who knew her, including myself. Please find it in your heart to come to this ceremony and mourn with us.

The New Dominion of Hadula is deeply mournful of the great leader's fall, but because of the recent change of power, the Dominus must remain wary of the Burnsian government, as it is not sensible to put trust where blindness lies. This is why we would like to congratulate the Queen to be Sylvia Katrina Romonovov, but we will not open diplomatic relations with this nation until their motives have been shown.

As was usually the case, President J.L. was hard at work in his office, conversing with his Joint Chiefs of Staff over the issue of the Ithaca, a renegade ship which had sabotaged a Sarzonian base in RB. President J.L. was just about to order the deployment of two additional fleets to find and punish the rogue ship when one of his aides walked in.
J.L. sighed. "What is it now?"
"Sir...I don't know how to say this..."
"One word at a time ought to do it, my friend," J.L. said, smiling.
"Qu-qu-queen Rachel R-Romalia...has died. She was assassinated."
J.L. stood so suddenly that he spilled hot coffee all over his papers. "WHAT!?" he shouted, his jaw dropping in incredulity. He was perplexed, in awe, devastated. He felt his heart ache with sorrow. Fighting back a few tears, he asked, "Are you sure?"
"Yes, sir. Will you be attending the funeral?"
"Of course I'll be attending the funeral," J.L. said. :rolleyes: "Though we were barely acquainted, the Queen and I were friends. She was such a strong, spirited, idealistic, vibrant woman...an amazing person. I pledge on my very soul that I shall do everything in my power to locate and utterly destroy whoever orchestrated her murder." He covered his face with one hand, struggling not to weep. "Damn it all..."
"S-Sir, I'll be in the other room, making reservations for the funeral, if you need me..." Feeling awkward and uncomfortable, the aide left.
The JCS members left, too, leaving J.L. alone with his tears.

Sarzonia wishes to extend its condolences on the tragic loss of Queen Rachel.

President J.L., his wife Thiansiri, Vice-President Cyprian and his wife Larina, and J.L.'s cabinet, will be attending the funeral.

A conspiracy theorist group based in CM controlled Indiana is publishing a report claiming that the queen was assassinated by operatives from Mississippi, or friends of Mississippi, under the orders of William Fabus, so he could marry Katrina and they'd get the throne... CM Commonwealth Intelligence Services in Indiana are currently attempting to find out who is circulating this theory so they can be detained and charged with sedition, slander, libel, treason, heresy, blasphemy, and resisting arrest.

On a recently aired TV show in The Burnsian Desert, some Burnsians speculated that an alien came down from the sky and took human form, and eventually blew himself up by the Queen, accidentally, when attempting to beam back up to his starship.

An investigation by the TV network into the sanity of the individuals is ongoing.

The White Knights of Mississippi, realm of Western Sahara, along with the Commonwealth government there, are blaming the queens death on "Muslims fanatics that might have been recruited from our very own territory. We are going to crackdown on them to make sure nothing like this ever happens again."

Our Sultan has directed twenty-one official mourners to attend the funeral as Vastivan representatives, to recite the Mourners Kaddish. A representative ceremony shall be held in Vastiva at the same time, after which Vastiva and her colonies will observe three days of mourning in sympathy.
