It would appear that the world is now at the brink of war. We hereby call for a conference involving all powers involved in the CM dispute- location negotiable. We can't afford to let our world be destroyed. Let's try to work it out like gentlemen.

I've made my demands known. I want 400 billion dollars and an apology. His shooting our satellites cost lives! GPS guided artillery on training missions ended up killing over half a dozen friendlies.

Axis Nova will attend the conference as a courtesy to the nation of Sevaris, but we wish to make it clear that no reparations or concessions of any sort will be forthcoming to Communist Mississippi.

I have indeed, whcih means I may well decide to use them again if I am pushed. Anyway, acknowledged as OOC, Sorry man.

In the meantime, Dictator Anderson has officially declared that should any sort of confrontation erupt, Gurian will side against the aggressor. This policy will continue to remain in effect, even if a war is approved by NATO, the UN, or any other similar organizations. It is felt that both sides must first come to a conference and talk things out before engaging in a war.

His Majesty, Emperor Erik I, is willing to send an envoy to the conference. We wish to know the location.

Sure, you could wipe out Mekanta's Underpact (Modern) assets, but the Overpact (Future) base, the Terra Cluster, will take a hell of a lot of effort. And unless the Terra Cluster is destroyed, the Underpact assets will just be re-established.

And even IF you fire enough nukes to break the barriers and eradicate the Hives, the Grand Armada will just rebuild them and you'll be back at square one minus your nukes!

In short, I'm not saying "bring it" but... "Good friggin' luck."


Of course, taking out the Underpact stuff will end Mekanta's offensives on Earth, so the rest of the stuff is kind of a moot point really. Just proving you wrong on the "wipe you out" thing.

CM will attend but we will not settle for anything less than our demands of an apology and financial reparations being paid. We can negotiate the exact amount of money though.

If I read correctly, Axis Nova is landlocked.

I believe this shows he is water-locked. He just has no coast line, as he is surrounded by nuclear radiated land and mountains.

To be specific... Axis Nova makes it's home in the center of the Imperial Graveyard (the name for the continent on which it is ensconed). The country itself is within an ancient asteroid crater, with tall and impassible mountains all around the edges. These form a natural barrier and of course are heavily fortified (though recently, more with antiaircraft weapons, for obvious reasons). In addition, there is the aforementioned radioactive exclusion zone extending 500 kilometers in every direction from the barrier mountains.

The rest of the continent is inhabited only by terrorists, survivalists, anarchists, marauders, and other such scum-- and they are well enough equipped to make burning them out impossible for us, since they are both funded by outside groups and also help themselves to any tech they find in ancient Imperial depots. Many of the larger groups possess enough firepower (thanks to the futuretech they have recovered) to give even regular military units a good fight.

Edit: Axis Nova itself is quite self-sufficient, at least as far as a defensive war is concerned.

I only mentioned them as flavor, and to illustrate the difficulties in reaching AN.

In any case, if you butt in with a huge wank-fleet, it will be ignored.

You're modern. I have IC reasons created to keep the Grand Armada from being used except in certain conditions. Since you haven't attacked the Grand Armada, they're bound by The Pact.

The most that would be done would be sterilizing the area outside of the radiation zone and establishing a forward base. Same thing that would be done with the Underpact (Modern) forces, just a lot messier and quicker.

Keep in mind, this is only if Future Tech weapons are used. Everything is retaliatory.

Mekanta, you're a company or something, right? Why don't I just pay you to either stay neutral or blockade the coast of the Imperial Graveyard and make sure nothing gets in -or- out. That keeps me bottled up and it keeps me from wasting ammo shooting apart whatever CM tries to send my way.

But... Mekanta CAN be bribed. Technology is just about the only way. Give them open clearance to sweep the radiation zone and the graveyard, and they'll leave you alone if there's anything of worth there.
