OOC: Hello and welcome, I am new to this whole RPing thing but my friend, who plays as Tagio has convinced me join up here. As I am big fan of Sci-fi I am doing a Space nation, I am also a fan of the Sengoku-era of Japan, which explains my name choice. Now on with the show!

All was quiet out there in the void until a squad of fighters roared out of no were. medium sized and shaped like a dagger with jagged edges the Kenshin-class fighters were a impressive sight as they held thier formation while going through a asteroid field on their way back thier carrier vessel the U.C.S. (Uesugi Clan Ship) Dragon . Inside the lead fighter Squad Commander Date Matasouri was in deep thought over the day's recon mission, suddenly a crackle of staic interrupted his thoughts "Hey Matasouri are you flying drunk or are ya daydreaming in there?" came the all to cheerful voice of Oichi, the overseer of fighter squadrons on broad the Dragon . "I'm just daydreaming Oichi why do ya ask?" "because your on a collusion with the Daimyo's shuttle" "WHAT?!" Matasouri looked ahead and sure engouth there was the Daimyo's shuttle, which still moving along blissfully unaware of the oncoming fighter. "WHOA!!" he yelled as he jerked up the controls so that he would go over the shuttle, not into it. "Alright Oichi I am bringing her to the fighter bay now" Matasouri said after a few moments "Good. Though next time please watch were you are going k'? Because there is no way I am going to let you get me demoted" Matasouri rolled his eyes, yep, same old Oichi.
A few hours later Matasouri walked into massive confrence room of the Dragon . "Lt. Commander Date" said Fleet Captian Otomara Sayotmi "please share a little of what you found out there today". Matasouri nodded and walked into the center of the room then he bowed to the Clan Daimyo, Uesugi Yoshiuga. "My lords I have found that there are several space capable powers within range of our long range transmissions, I believe that the planned step up onto the galatic stage will be a major success". Several heads nodded in agreement. "Lt. Commander what of the military capacity of the powers closest to us?" asked someone from the back "I was told to only find out how many space capable nations there are in range of our communications, nothing more" "WHAT?!, why did you not take the iniative and do so?! Some of these powers may become threats in the future!" following this statement many voices could be heard wispering amongst the assemabled "QUIET!!" yelled the Daimyo suddenly "You have done well Lt. Commander, now you are dismissed" Matasouri bowed and left the room. Now the Daimyo moved into the center of the room "Gentlemen thanks to the Lt. Commander we now have the infromation we need to continue with the plan to bring the Clan into the greater stage, for too long as our great people been cofined to the sectors surronding our home planet of Echigo and the Dewa Sector, now is the time of change." Everyone, even the general in the back nodded in agreement to state. "Now I shall leave shortly for home and make the announcement there" Everyone stood up and bowed, then left the room.
