Spoksemen for Fabus Munitions Inc and Schacht Chemicals Inc have announced plans are underway to build no less than 72 different weapons factories in Mississippian Libya and Mississippian Egypt, and no less than 12 different chemical plants in the above mentioned territories. The reasons for these moves were given as follows.
(Reporter) "Mr Jack O'Reilly of the Schacht Chemicals corporation. Thank you for meeting with us sir."
(O'Reilly) "My pleasure... Thank you for having me here."
(Reporter) "You're welcome. Please tell us why the sudden burst of interest and investment in Libya and Egypt."
(O'Reilly) "Well you see, some despicable foreign nations are attempting to strangle the commonwealth economies of Mississippian Egypt and Mississippian Libya. And as you know, massive quantities of civilian, industrial, and commercial chemicals are transported to ME and ML from Mississippi for use and resale to other nations. This may be threatened by the unscrupulous cowards attempting to strangle our trade. So we just want to have business continue as usual."
(Reporter) "How much will it cost and about long until the plants are built?"
(O'Reilly) "We're working on them right now, they're going to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It'll cost probably over 100 billion dollars by the time we're done. But all the plants should be totally finished and even running within one month."
(Reporter) "Thank you for your time. We now go to Jackson City were a spokesman for Fabus Munitions Inc will speak to us."
*Cut to Jackson City*
(Reporter) "Oh my! It's the CEO himself, Premier, soon to be Czar, Curtis Fabus. Greetings Premier! Hail Fabus!" (Throws left arm straight out into the air)
(Fabus) (Chuckling) "Ah there is no need for that, this is a press conference, not a political rally."
(Reporter) "Please tell us about the munitions situation your whiteness."
(Fabus) "Well you see I believe you've already spoken with Schacht Chemicals spokesmen... The situation is the same, the commonwealth armies in ME and ML need munitions, mostly small arms ammunition and artillery ammuniton. In addition they need spare parts, etc. The usual things any army needs. So we are going to spend over 400 billion dollars to build 72 factories in ME and ML to provide all the necessary material."
(Reporter) "Okay, well you've just explained it great sir. Thank you. I'm going to let you go now because I'm sure you're a busy man. Hail Fabus!" (Throws his left arm straight into the air again)
(Fabus) (Chuckling) "Again, this is not a political rally."
(Fabus) "Goodbye and God Bless Mississippi!"

Thank you, but no thanks. We insure everything ourselves via Fabus Industrial Insurance.
you will still need raw materials to build them which aren't present in your locations so you can't beat the blockade this way
In response to this, Premier Mannerheim has ordered tightening of the blockade. Now, no CM ship will be allowed past. Also, all CM corporate interests in Sevaris have been ordered out- or they will be seized.

Ooc- We have large stocks of the necessary materials already there. Also we can fly things from carriers based in the Indian Ocean to Parthia, and then on to ME and ML. Also we can use Suez... Also, which side are you on again? Or is this one of those things were you're torn between two sides?

Also, Premier Mannerheim has allocated $ 23 Billion to develop new naval yards outside of Lisbon.

"No matter. If you wish help with resources, we are willing to make a deal with you..."
"You have but to ask... and offer something in return..."

CM: I still don't see where you are going to get all of these raw materials from. The lands you own can't produce enough, and you may have stockpiles but those will only last so long. You have a BLOCKADE, so your allies can't get stuff to you.
"So you admit to being an ape."
"Alright, monkey-boy, do you think I'm human? Hmm?"
"No! I am of a superior race. We developed art, music, and technology while you apes were still eating your own feces. You people have stopped doing that, right?"

You mean the below lands are unable to produce enough to build some factories?
I'm not Liberia! I'm an empire! A western style industrialize empire! A colossus!

Hmmm... I'm pretty sure since my nation has always been self-sufficient that it will always continue to do so. We've never traded with more than 1/1000th of 1% of the world. So I think you also need to realize this is not a blockade. If anybody attempted to stop my ships from entering and leaving my own waters, it'd be a war.

A blockade has been declared, and if you read the threads the blockade is obviously in place. It doesn't matter how many nations you trade with, the fact remains that you need imports to sustain your economy. You probably have vast stores built up which will last you a while, but once again, sooner or later you will have to deal with the blockade.
EDIT: And check this site: http://www.thirdgeek.com/nseconomy.php?nation=Communist%20Mississippi, you have a trade deficit of $144,353,695,918.66, in fact the largest trade deficit in your region. You are obviously dependent on imports.

It's not a blockade if all they do is close their waters to me... It's called an embargo.

OOC: They said it was a blockade, so I am forced to take them at their word. If it was an embargo, they would have said embargo. So until one of them posts specifying whether they meant blockade or embargo, this argument is pointless.

Ooc- If it was a blockade, we'd know because you'd see my thread declaring war. It's just an embargo so I ignore it because I never traded with any of them to begin with. Nobody enters CM waters without CM approval, and nobody will seize CM merchant ships on the high seas.

I have to side with NATO here, but urge you CM to take measure to make sure it doesn't end in war. I will not allow Suez to be used for the purpose of war, and if you fly in materials, you will find it too inneficient to do anything, shipping if the only possibility, but you can't do that here

Ooc- We can ship via the Persian Gulf to Iran and Iraq (Parthia) and then take it via trucks to Turkey, where they get on new boats for ME and ML. :D
Ooc- Or we could just build the Parthian Canal, from Persian Gulf, through Iraq and Syria, into the Medieterranean.
Turkmeny, it's an embargo. None of us want to risk war with CM.

The foundations of the Marsa Matruh Schacht Chemicals Inc Plant, are being set by over 5,000 workers, approximately 500 of them arabs, under the closeful supervision of the approximately 50 engineers and 100 managers and foremen brought in for the construction.
The plant will produce Carbonyl Chloride, a chemical used in the production of glass, dyes, resins, and plastics.

The next factory foundation is being laid near Tanta, it will primarily be producing Di-isopropylamine for hepatic detoxification of heavy metals, nitrites, and organophosphates. It will also be used in the rubber industry.
Di-isopropylamine Dichloroacetate (DADA)
Quick Reference :
DADA is a peripheral and cerebral arteriole vasodilator. DADA assists in hepatic detoxification of heavy metals, nitrites, and organophosphates

CM is halting construction of all chemical plants as these may be erroneously viewed as for chemical weapons agents. We are instead shifting the building to plants that will produce chemicals that have little or no military applications.
We are doing this so the world may realize we have good intentions.
