Native Militants March on Hadula City

Hadula

This is OHNN

Good evening, I am Tabitha Walker, and this is OHNN.

We bring you a disturbing report. There are reports of a native militant army that are now crossing the northeaster chunnel from New Portugal, where they have razed the capital city of New Salamanca. Citizens of Hadula City are told to be on their guard for suspicious characters and to stay indoors. Remaining UTA reservists have been called to Hadula City to garrison against the militants, who have been calling themselves the LJFA. Exterior phone lines and satellite communications have been shut down all around Hadula City. We repeat, stay indoors and do not leave Hadula City. The situation is under control. The sit-Wait, who are-

Before the woman can finish her sentence a splatter of red covers the wall behind her as she fallls back on her chair, a gaping red wound on her forehead. The camera is put ajar as there are some yells and gunshots. After the commotion quiets down, there is the disctinct sound of steel toed boots, and the camera is picked up and a tall, severe looking man in military regalia is shown, his face almost sneering in the camera. A flag is hoisted behind him. Someone else takes the camera as he looks off into the distance.

"Fellow citizens and comrades of Hadula. Please, we are bringing peace and stability as quickly as possible. That is why we ask for your complete surrender and cooperation to make the transition as soon as possible. We do not seek to harm civilians, and soon, you will be able to go on with your daily lives, now free of the corrupt morass that was the former Hadulan government. There will be a new order, a new age. Hadula will rise to greatness. You must become fascists to destroy fascists.

The LJFA forces will be searching all homes for remaining Hadulan soldiers, but we will not harm you. We are your friends and comrades. We now control Hadula, so put down your resistence and come peacefully, so we need not extend this conflict. Please stay tuned on this news channel for updates for you. Soon, when it is over, we will bring food and aid to those distributed by our forces to people in need that were affected by the short conflict.

Your leaders have been taken care of. We ask the provincial governors around Hadula to surrender their station to the Dominus. We will not harm you if you surrender to the Dominion. I am your new leader, Dominus Pele Kawau. Your former Consul leaders have been taken care of. Consul Damon and Riverra have been privately executed, and brave Consul Tandon is right here..."

The camera lowers down to the boots of Kawau. His right foot is on top of Tandon's head. The poor Arabian man had been severly beaten, and Kawau wasn't lightly pressing his boots on top of him. Kawau muttered somethign and kicked him sternly in the back, with a sickening sound, but Tandon merely let his tears escape him. The camera recentered on Kawau as he began to speak again.

"Surrender now, people of Hadula, and no harm will come to you. You have lost, and we wish to eliminate any furthur conflict that may come of this. Thank you, and long live the Dominion!"

With that the camera was turned off, and the OHNN station was temporarily off the air as the militants got it ready for their propoganda machine.

Was the revolution over? Or had it just begun?

President Jack Kordo II also offers humanitarian aid to Hadula's people, ready to ship on confirmation of acceptence.

On the other side, the control tower responds in Portugese, and there is a bit of laughing, and then someone replies in rather broken English.

"Your clear to land, we are deploying two MiG-25s for military escorting for entrance into and out of the New Dominion. Please stay clear south of the Grenvali military installations, as we are expecting military opposition there. Thank you, please land on Airstrip One."

OOC: Hadula's official language is Portugese, BTW, because when it was first found by Portugese explorers and claimed as a Portugese colony, until it seceded. Now the Hadulan natives are taking power away from the colonists, but because the original Hadulan language has little words for modern things, and they were taught at birth to speak Portugese, it remains the official language.

You too have become a victim of propoganda then, which only proves that it is working on the Hadulan people. Consul Damon is still alive, and was a benefactor of this rebellion. He betrayed his fellow members of the Triumverate to us so we knew their weaknesses and secrets. We said he was dead because my soldiers would never accept me letting a white man live in the government. He is currently in China, establishing relations. He is going to be our Foreign Relations minister after we give the news to the loyalists in the best way possible. The reason also we said he was dead is to weaken the resitence. With less things to put their loyalty in other than the Dominion, there is little to fight for.

The khaki uniformed men led them in the terminal. They were told to wait, as they would be preparing a jet for departure. However, they also gave them their sicnerest apologies for the delay, as there was a tropical storm north of Hadula, and it was heading SW. Unfortunately, the Santana province is the NW section of the nation, and since the area was under tropical storm warning, they couldn't allow the jet to make its departure. You could already see the huge storm in the north, and waves were breaking on the shore, as the airport was near the ocean. A native female, one of the stewardesses, smiled at them.

"Could I get you coffee? Hopefully the storm will pass by us, we will alert you if it will hit Hilo, but the projected path will pass by with little problem."

The stewardess smiles and sets up a tray next to their seats. They noticed that the terminal was all but empty, just a few employees around, closing up shop. They heard the sound of boots behind them. Closer and closer. As they turned around, they saw a rather rugged man, and he wasn't smiling (OOC: And thank god for that.)

Master-Chief John Doolittle (http://www.iownjoo.com/freeimghost/VeniceDamon/un50-053.gif) released an ultimatim today to the New Dominion of Hadula, telling the militants to relinquish control of the capial city and allow the former governemtn to retake control.

"We in the UTA will not bend down to the tactics of this terror organization. We call out to all democratic nations to help us regain our coutnry and bring it back to the people. We are willing to give the Dominion sovereignty of the Gata, Santana, and Bandan provinces if they are willing to seced their troops from the New Portugal and Hadula provinces and cease violent operations against the caucasian and hispanic people of Hadula. We want to solve this peacefully, but I will not stand and watch my country be taken away by terrorists!"

In response to this ultimatim, Colonel David Lani (http://www.iownjoo.com/freeimghost/VeniceDamon/che.jpg), commander of the feared LJFA paramiltiary organization and second in command of the revolution, expressed his defiance.

"The New Dominion will retain sovereignty of Hadula, and we will not be swayed by the threats of this man. We are currently increasing the military forces around our borders. We also politely ask teh Grenvali people to withdraw their military operations in the southern islands while we make this governmental transition. All those nations that are against us will be met with force, as we will overcome all obstacles. Long live the revolution!"

And as the man leaves the stage, the crowd goes into a roar. The Dominion has secured the loyalty of almost all the Native Hadulans, and even some Asian and African citizens of Hadula are behind the Dominion.

Austar Union
20-08-2004, 01:41
Intelligence reports had come back to the Austar Union, about events in Haluda. President Edward Grove was one of the first to be notified. As he recieved the news, he had an important desision to make.

Already, he had some 50 000 troops ready for deployment onto the Haluda mainland. He could order a quick deployment of those forces onto the forces of the facsist rebellion. Austarian forces were highly trained, and such a deployment would be quite justified.

Already the new rebel government had committed crimes against humanity, one notably being the public execution of a known Austarian national. They had also other several cases, including the blatent murder of the newsreporter, which was definatly unnessasary. Such a government was a threat to the world, they had made statements which gave imperialist intentions.

The deployment was definately justified, so President Grove contacted General Anderson;

"Make it known. We are going to Hadula to restore peace and order to the people. We cannot allow our friends to be forced under a government which is so willingly to openly commit atrocities against its people, and notably our people..."

Just an hour later, President Grove stood in front of a television camera;

"To the people and government in exile in Haluda, we are coming to help you. We will remove the evil government from power, for we cannot allow it to rule forcefully over you. It has proven to be evil, so easy to have bloodthirst.

To the current fascist government, we will find you, we will seek you, we will destroy you. We will not stop at just a simple attempt, but we will succeed, no matter the cost. The lives of the Haluda people matter more to us, than a few soldiers. We will capture you, and then you will realise the terrible crimes you have committed."

Asian Pacific Region
Fleetwood Islands

The bases on the Fleetwood islands were now a hive of activity ever since the desision that was made by the President to liberate the Haludese people. Trucks, cars, aircraft were all a highly common sight now, and were not completely restricted to the bases and their normal areas of operation.

On the islands, there were some 50 000 soldiers currently stationed, however over the night soldiers had been flying in constantly, to add to that number. The main airfields were being prepared for use, as the campaign would most likely begin with a small air campaign. It would begin that night.

20-08-2004, 01:53
In response to President Grove's speech, Colonel Lani had released his statement on Austarian involvement.

"We will not bend to this Asutarian threat. We are the people of Hadula, and we will fight for our freedom.

The needs fo the many outweight the needs fo the few. We needed to set an example to those who oppose us. In response to this threat, we are declaring martial law. All Hadulan citizens, be they native or otherwise, are ordered to stay indoors. The LJFA patrols will supply your daily needs, you have no need to walk the streets in fear. We are calling upon all support to repel the outside invaders of the Austarian Union, they do not belong here. Long live the revolution!"

OOC: The fascist army has increased over the past weeks, and includes the original terrorists, draftees, former UTA members, and new loyaltists. I will post their exact specifics. Also, you are not alone. 50,000 members of the UTA (mostly those who were accompanying John Doolittle to help the situation in Bosnia) remain and are now ready to commit operations in Hadula to bring back the Socialist regime.

General Anderson was considering the current situation. Night would fall within a few hours, however he needed some military intelligence as to what the situation was exactly. He had recieved reports that the evil government had declared a state of marshall law. At least they were dedicated to preserving the lives of innocents, and he considered that a worthy move. However he dismissed this as a simple way to gain complete control over the terrain, without having to deal with the distractions of the civillian presense.

Contacting the intelligence centers inside the Austar Union, he requested information on troop positions and government control centers in Haluda. These areas would be the first to be targeted, and if the Austarians could remove the grip of the new government, they could easily push them out, into tiny pockets of resistance...

OOC: Basically this post is just saying that im gonna contact ya about information regarding the situation before I make strikes... :)

The most importants parts of the Dominions infrastructure are the following (to your knowledge.)

+ In the city of Mandoli, the Dominion has declared this new new capital. The Grand Hovel [interesting name, no?] has been declared the administrative building of the Dominus. Pele Kawau is rumored to be located here, and has the tightest security than anywhere else in the Dominion.
+ In the island of Hilo [the economic capital of Hadula] most of the automobile factories [which were scheduled for decomission after cars were banned] have been coverted into arms manufacturing facilities. There is rumors that tanks are being made, and in Mandoli and Hilo tanks can be seen patrolling the streets.
+ In the city of Suva, a very large garrison of soldiers has been made. It is because south of that are the three Grenvali owned islands that have miltiary bases. Because of the blockade around the islands, capturing Suva would allow the Grenvali to help in the effort against the rebels.
+ In the Bandar province, there is a small town called Dennington. Dennington is basicly non-descript, save for the nuclear power plant located there, That plant is the second largest power source in Hadula (save for the large amount of wind powered electricity) and is heavily guarded by the fascists. Destroying it would be catastrophic, and it is possible that the fascists may use it as a bargainign chip would things go bad, threatening to destroy it and most of Hadula with it. Capturing it should be a priority.

Skies above the Pacific Ocean, Near Hadula...

In perfect formation, the fighters raced toward skies above Hadula. They were on course, and on time, doing well. Ahead, they could see the islands which would become the targets of their bombs and missiles.

Flying at high speed was easy for the Harriers, which would be used. Around them was a field of darkness, as night had already falled. Lights could be seen on the ground up ahead, making them perfect target indicators.

There were two main targets tonight, one of them being the power transformers for the city of Hilo, and the other was the powerplant near Dennington. Loaded with EMP missiles, the fighters roared toward their targets...

Using high technology night-flying and targeting systems, the fighters over Hilo broke formation, and each chose a target. Firing their EMP payload at the transformers, they would expect the main power to the city to be cut.

In the meantime, near Dennington, fighters were fast approaching the main transformer near the powerplant. Here, much of the nation's power was provided. Also armed with EMP missiles, the fighters there targeted and fired their payloads.

Once the targets are completely destroyed, the fighters had orders to return to base...

Colonel Lani watched the large burst across the power plant from his helicopter, chewing on his cigar (a disgusting habit that has blackened his teeth.) He smiled, smoke creping out of the orifices.

"They took the bait."

As the fighters came back to regroup, there was a sudden flash from the ground. Some kind of ground-to-air system had been set up near the plant. The missile spiraled towards one of the jets, which started to go into evasive maneuvers. However, the missile exploded near the jet, in a huge burst of light, almost like a firework. It was some kind of flare, and exposed all of the formation of jets. It was only a matter of time before patrolling MiG-25s purchased by Colonel Lani descended from the upper sky, guns blazing down on the bombers.

+ You know that the Dominion is developing concentrated chemical weapons in their Hilo factories, which have recently been attacked. For what, you are unsure, but you can guess.

+ Despite their claims, you have been notified Consul Venice Damon is in China, and is not dead, but is unaware of the conflict

+ The naval forces of the fascists are very strong, and the many channels around the islands are almost completely blocked, including the Grenvali islands.

+ The air force however is relatively weak, only a small force of well trained MiG pilots make up the Air Force.

+ New Portugal is in ruins, and there are rumors of "camps" in the area where the Dominion places Hispanic and Caucasian prisoners for unknown purposes.

Jeremy Roberts looked behind him as a flare burst near his aircraft. Banking the aircraft across to the left, a crackling came over the airways, "Shit... flares.... Break formation!"

Instantly, he broke formation and dived the aircraft into a steep bank, his entire body being affected by the massive increase of G's inside the cockpit. His sensors were going like mad, signalling that there were nearby fighters. The flares had been a move to highlight their positions...

As he banked down to the left and toward the ground, he began his standard evasive manoevers and quickly turned to the right and upward, down to the right, up to the left... the G's pulling hard on his consiousness. Thank god for the training provided, for a normal man would have passed out by now.

His fellow squadron members were out of sight, however his sensors showed them as somewhere nearby. The area which had once been in darkeness, was lit up, and was now falling into darkness. Remembering his training, he pulled up and to the right, hitting his afterburners. Almost instantly, he could feel the force of the engine behind him, as he sped away from the area, heading in the general direction of the base he was to return to.

We''ll keep this brief. Step on Hadulan soil, and die.
Kawau looked at the reprots in disdain. How dare they.. How dare they ruin his vision, he will not take kidnly to this. However, they are still outnumbered, and the odds are still on their side. And soon, the projects in Hilo will be finished, and with it, the war.

OOC: Ah I see. Anyhow, the Austar Union is something around the 2010 mark, 2015... By the way, what are the results of my EMP attack? Did they take out the transformers in Hiro and near the powerplant? And nice move....

OOC: The EMP will temporarily disrupt the power infrastructure in northern Hadula. As for the factories, since you didn't know the payload you needed, you didn't shut down all of them. Also, most of the factories are not machine based, msot of its done by hand.
------------------------------
Colonel Lani sneered as they went out of range. He called off the MiGs by radio, and told them to head for Hilo Airport. He told the squads near the power plant to begin repairs quickly, and also to plant some C4 in some, strategic locations.

As the fighters returned to base safely, the pilots were briefed of their achievements;

"Well it appears as if you temporarily disrupted power to the northern islands. Well done. Unfortunately, our true targets, the factories where the arms are being produced, were virtually unaffected. Unfortunately, intelligence didnt quiet tell us that the factories were hardly automated, and that most of the goods were made by hand..."

One pilot spoke up, "Well thats at least some good news, I mean, if they are handmade weapons, I doubt they are of machine-produced quality, and I doubt they have a high output of them. I wouldnt estimate high numbers being produced at all..."

General Anderson nodded before continuing;

"Yes, in one way it is good news. To build a tank by machine wouldnt take long at all, but to build a tank by men, would take virtually forever. This is good news for us. I have new intelligence that their airforce is tiny, so those fighters you almost encountered, would have probably been a reasonable percentage of the Hudanese Air Force. Good job on evading the dogfight, you served your commanders well..."

The pilots looked pleased with themselves, however they were slightly dissapointed that they didnt quiet achieve their goals. Nevertheless, the factory situation was less urgent, and the General already had ideas in mind for the factories.

Considering that there was a power disruption in the area, defenses would be relitavely low for the time being. It would be the perfect time to strike. He had been a bit worried of civillian casualties when it came to striking the factories, he thought it best that they strike at night, when they ought to be closed. Chances were that the factories were in fact running overtime, for they needed to if they wanted to achieve any kind of production, however such casualties would be unadvoidable.

Giving the order, the base's missile systems were put on alert, and were activated. Within a few minutes, it would be reported that a number of medium range missiles had been successfully launched, and would be racing toward the arms-producing factories in Hiro, guided by sophisticated sattelite guiding systems.

OOC: Generally, before making an attack, we make sure we are firing at the correct targets, especially when targeting a non-military like this one. Before getting the firing solution, the factories would have been watched closely, to determine if it is in fact a proper and legitimate target. Take note that we also have spies to assist us in such matters. We always use sattelite guided systems to guide our missiles, so the chances of one going off course is minimal, however you are welcome to roleplay one going off course just for the sake of interesting storyline. As for the number of missiles, consider that to be relative to the number of arms-producing factories, two per factory. They are tipped with conventional warheads.

OOC: I plan on taking a little inspiration from the Gulf War. Note that the factories use both manual labor and machines/robotics, however, its a joint effort, and you basicly halted construction on the tanks, MiGs, and chemical weapons.
------------------------------
The missiles fly through the night, towards their targets. Colonel Lani watched them from the ground. He quickly took the radio.

"Protect the two experimentation facilities. At all costs."

The pilots confirmed the order and swept in behind the missiles, which were about twenty five miles away from their destiantion. There was hardly any time to spare. One of the MiGs blasted past the first missile heading towards site 1, and slowly put itself in position going at top speed. Then, the engine stopped.

"Long lvie the revolution!"

And with a dazzling display of pyrotecnics, the missile warhead crashed into the MiG, and the explosion caused by this detonated the missile in the middle of its course. This was repeated on several missiles by the kamikaze pilots. However, with a grin, Colonel Lani ordered off the MiGs after the missiles to head for the more important sites were called off. Already he knew this would work to his advantage. He again called in his radio, wiring it to the LJFA.

"Propoganda division, begin clean-up operation, Hilo, Factory Sites F-Y, you have fifteen hours."

And through the night, something was going on in the ruined factories.
---------------------------
This is DNN, Dominion News Network, and tonight, we bring you the report on the threat of war on our people. This time, the target was civilian, as missiles reported from the Austarian government destroyed a number of milk factories across the city of Hilo last night, which were being used to distrubute rations to military and civilian populations alike. This needless attacked soon became an atrocity when the overtime working employees of the factories were killed as the building crashed down on them. Casualties are expected in the hundreds. No survivors have been found. Colonel David Lani released a statement earlier today regarding this horrible event, "that [he] will not let some bullying nation rule this great nation through fear, and already, retaliation strikes are planned against the Austarian army." We will bring you the latest information on this conflict.

Currently the ration this week allocates to seven kilograms, reduced because of the conflict, so stock up with tips from us on...

Helicopters flew thick in the air, fuelling up and beginning their journey to the independant port where the small Katangarian Navy stood at anchor. (OOC: Katangara is landlocked, so our navy is maintained by one of our allies in exchange for cheaper oil from the expansive oilfields in the northern edge of the country.) Troopers hugged thier families goodbye and baorded their helicopters, and all around the bustle of mobilisation took hold. The Hawkers where going to their first external war in most of their careers. so far their experience was all on home turf, putting down 2 rebellions and driving out invaders from within. now they would finally fight on enemy turf. the sense of all the soldiers was of eager excitement.

a 747 flew gently across Hadula at night, bearing logos showing it to belong to "Qantas".
it banked lightly, heading towards the town of Hilo. as it approached, one engine went out. then another. eerily silent on radio it began to plummet, shedding debris in a long trail behind it as it slowly broke up.
oe such debris piece was the large pressure sealed door, followed by a large black crate and then 6 black clad people. quickly they whipped down towards the ground, one person heading straight for the crate, the others peeling off to find somewhere clear to land.
down, down, down they plummeted, till suddenly with a *RIP* noise, they deployed their black coloured parachutes. then they drifted to the ground, quickly severed their chutes and sprinted towards the landing site of the crate.
a tight burst communication was sent to an observation satellite high above, and was relayed to mission control in Katangara.
"Halo Succesful. Mission Begun."

high in the sky above Hilo, a group of missiles stroke in from the Austar Union...

(OOC: cause its gonna take ages for my army to get there and start movements, ive sent in a small group of covert "Wolfheads". the crate contains silenced usp's, m15's, some frag and flashbang grenades, and a few pounds of C4. they have orders to confirm the prescence of biological contaminents at Hilo and destroy them if found, before leaving for the south of the country and laying low till the Katangarian Army has established a Base of Operations)

So continue with your operations, but remember that the LJFA forces (by the way, that means Liberty and Justice For All, ironic, no?) are serving as a counter-operations team to prevent covert ops from destroying the chemical weapons in the surviving factories.

Declaration of War upon Hadula Militants

Earlier this morning the Praetonian House of Commons passed a motion to declare war upon the illegitimate militant government of Hadula by majority vote 623 to 127. The 4th and 7th Imperial Fleets have been dispatched, lead by the Freedom Class Super Dreadnaught, PWS Imperium. The fleet will carry 11,200 marines for a possible ground invasion. The fleets are currently en route to international waters outside of Hadula.

Some of the ships had detected unknown warships on the edge of sensor range, but their orders were clear, deposit their pay loads of troops as soon as possible. Luckly, many troops were already deployed on ships, in preperation for a war game. The ships had recieved their orders to prepare to move out when word had been recieved about the revolution in Hadula. However, until now the ships had remained in dock or in home waters. one of the Katangarians swore softly in his native tongue, a mixture of Russian and German.
"Beta, take him down!"
the mentioned man carefully sighted along his silenced rifle, then fired a small burst.

'Halai! Halai! Halai! Ha-" the man fell quietly into the dust, gurgling slightly.
"All units, we have been discovered. we have two options. scrub the mission or go in guns blazing. your choices?"
five replies quickly came in. "Continue." was the unanimous descision.
the leader nodded. "Beta, Delta, deploy smoke grenades on each side of the fence, give us some cover to get in. Charlie, i want you to start laying down fire where you are. see if you can convince these foreign bastards theres more of us out there. remember the directive. all units, deploy!"

two darkened agents rolled forwards, each throwing smoke greandes out. on the other side of the compound, gunshots began to ring out.
"Mission status: Green!" the leader said into his mic, as the group of 5 ran under cover to the fence and began clipping it open.

****

Over the other side of the complex, Charlie was laying down a pattern of suppressing fire, moving constantly from cover to cover as quickly and quietly as he could.
a voice yelled out something foreign to his right, and he swung his gun around and fired, dropping two Hadulan Rebels, and exhausting his clip.
"Shize!" he growled, ejecting the clip and fishing around in his bandolier for another.
*PING*
a bullet skidded off a rock near his head, and he threw himself backwards, dropping the clip he had been holding. swearing again he grabbed another clip and rammed it home.
"Alright you bastards! eat LEAD!" he screamed in Katangarian (which wouldve sounded something like "Alik unt basht! Etten ein lead!"). he sprayed all aorund him, and was immediatly rewarded with return fire from several dips and rocky outcrops around him. smiling he unclipped an m4 anti-personell frag grenade form his bandolier, pulled the pin and let go of the timer
"One one thousand...two one thousand" he lobbed the grenade at one of the depressions.
a voice issued what could only be a profanity loudly, and then was silenced by the roar of an explosion. Charlie smiled and prepared ot move out again.

****

Meanwhile, the main team was now inside the factory complex, and was trading fire with a group of guards. the leader ducked behind a group of barrells and reloaded his rifle, before checking a timer on his watch.
"All units, we estimate 10 minutes before reinforcements arrive. Objectives are now to cause as much damage and possible and get away."
the leader grinned and unhooked a frag grenade, pulled hte pin and lobbed it over his head in the general direction of one group of attackers.

****

Charlie sprinted across a large distance between cover, bullets following him. "These hadulans shoot like drunken farmers!" charlie grinned, before a sharp hot pain jabbed his leg. Charlie fell forwards in a roll, dropping his rifle and laying face up on the ground gritting his teeth in pain. an exulting cry came up from his attackers. "Shit. shit shit shit!" he thought.
calmly he drew his pistol, but a foot stmoped on his hand before he could.
a face loomed above him and tutted to him in its own language. Charlie sneered.
"You wont get shit out of me, Asshole" he said in english, his other hand crawling towards the closest grenade he could grab.
his captor smiled toothily, and clubbed him in the head with his rifle. Charlie went out like a light.

"I can see we are under attack!" Lotam barked, having walked in as Scout 4 and its crew of two was obliterated, their remains being scatered across the ocean in a hundred meter radius. Order Protector and Shield to start sweeping for more mines. I don't want anymore suprises today!"

The blips on the sonar were in fact mines, and the sweepers managed to go through without much problem. However, the fleet was heavily slowed. At the break of the new dawn, they could see the Hadulan islands, which were quite idyllic and beautiful, a good place for tourism. The fleet was heading for the southern port city of Suva, but this wasn't what they expected. They headed from direct south, and they should be heading towards Suva, but there was little signs of anything there, except a few signs of movement and a slight dronning sound.

As the soldiers at the new military isntallation were waking up tot he dawn to begin their drills, at the SatCom station, there was a large distrubance on the radar. It would appear a large fleet was heading your way, and you had no way of identifying it.

Holy shit! Sir, sir! There is a fleet headed right for us, poised to attack. Intelligence reports indicate they are roughly our size, but we will need back up to win.

The lieutenent ran over to the screen. He estimated that the fleet would be in range by nightfall. When the lieutenent had finished studying the screen, he hurried out of the room and down an aluminum hallway to the office at the end of the hall. He knocked on General Walsh's door, and when permitted to answer, told the General of the fleet. Walsh dismissed the lieutenent and reached for the phone, dialing the secure line of the Minister of Defense.

"Sir. There is a fleet headed our way. We can hold them off for now, but request backup."

On the other line, the Minister said, "we do not have backup in the area. The best we can do is two naval armaments from the Indian Ocean in twenty-four hours."

"That is fine, sir, but please, godspeed." At that, Walsh hung up the phone and picked up another.

"Control Room."

Walsh had called to raise the station alert level. "DEFCON 2," and with that, he left his office, as the sirens around him began to sound.

Out in the hallway, hundreds of men, some half dressed, ran from their rooms and their lounges. The base was designed to hold one Heavy Infantry Division and a naval armament. Ouside a window, the naval armament recieved the warning.

General Walsh reached the door. Twisting the handle, he opened the door and let in a swath of sunlight. Blinking in the daylight, he strode out towards the docks, his heels clicking on the ground with his stride. Boarding the carrier, Walsh headed straight for the control room, ducking beneath the low ceilings. From there, using binoculars, he could just make out the fleet on the horizon.

Terrace Smith counted his money. He had five hundred thousand dollars in his hand. He sat on his bed, his eyes huge as he fingered the blood money. Bending his chest down, he smelled the guymns in his hand. They smelled old and dank, yet so beautiful. Suddenly, sirens were sounding everywhere. Perfect, he thought, the oppurtune moment. He stuffed the bills back into a brown suitcase under his bottom bunk and pulled out a beat up black suitcase. Smith ran from his room, just as everyone else did the same. But unlike the other men, he did not suit up and go to his post. Instead, he ran towards the carrier, sitting in the docks. Taking his suitcase, he placed it ever so carefully on the deck of the carrier, just above the airwing. Pulling a remote out of his pocket, he pushed a little red button in with his thumb, then, he ran as fast as he could. Three minutes later, a suitcase bomb exploded, ripping through five decks and destroying twenty seven aircraft. Terrace Smith, however, was counting his money in his bunk.

Admiral Lotam was on the bridge when the report came in.
He allowed the Captain to read the message first. "So Captin what does it say Lotam asked.

"Sir, we have recieved word that apparently the Grenval base has been alerted to our presence." the Captain replied.

"Anything else important?"

"Yes sir, it appears on of the carriers has suffered some explosion. Our agent seems to think it was sabotage" the Captain said.

Lotam laughed. "Do ya think it was one of Will Kordo's men?" Will Kordo acting-president of Kordo was suspected to have a network of well paid informants and agents in almost every civilized nation.

The Captain shook his head. "Don't know sir, but I wouldn't put it past him."

Lotam turned to address the bridge crew. "It seems our fates have changed again," he said "this time for the better." Turning to the Captain he said, "Make a open radio announcement, all frequencies, claiming responsebility for the attacks and threating more if the Grenval tries to interfere with us again or attempts to interfere at all with the new Hadula government."

"Mr. President, Kordo is claiming responsibilities for the attack on our carrier,"exclaimed the Minister of Defense as he rushed through the oak doors to the warroom.

"Sit down Derrick. Claiming responsibilty are they. Is this a declaration of war?"

"No sir," said the Minister of Foreign Affairs. "This is not a declaration of anything," she added resolutely.

"Rachel, I disagree. This is a declaration of war. A direct attack. And here is what we are going to do. We will systematically go through every soldier on that base until we find the culprit. He will face a military tribunal. As for the incoming fleet, our submarines can hold them off. I am ready for my statement now." And at that, the most powerful man in Grenval stood up, chin square and held high, and he marched from the room, remembering his personal motto. Pray now, for we shall rip your gods from the sky.

Official Presidential Statement

Today, Grenval has been the victim of an act of terror and a declaratation of war from the nation of Kordo. Our naval base in Hadula is under attack for strategic offensive naval points for Kordo. Before this, we were not involved, but we will never allow an attack upon Grenvali soldiers. In this bastardly attack, forty soldiers were killed and seventy-eight were injured as the bomb ripped through five decks and twenty-two warplanes. It is therefor my patriotic duty to declare war upon Kordo. Today is a day that will live in infamy forever more. Today, we shall fight back. And today, this day, the world shall know the awesome might that is Grenval!

As the night approached, so did the enemy fleet. General Walsh sat in a bunker, chewing his nails to the flesh as a leaky pipe dripped water into a puddle on the floor.
Drip
Walsh stood up.
Drop
He opened the door.
Drip
He shut the door behind him.
Drop
He began to climb the stairs out of the bunker. Suddenly, he heard a whizzing overhead. He looked up to see a cemet ceiling, but as he followed the sound, an enourmous explosion sounded behind him. He ran up the stairs. A soldier tried to stop him, but Walsh stiff armed the man. Pulling open the metal door, he walked into the soft, dancing light of a fire. One hundred yards from him, a fire was roaring along the airstrip. Walsh found his way towards his office, where he called for all submarines and destroyers to engage and destoy any non allied ship, whether enemy or neutral. Take no chances and spare no lives. Suddenly, he looked up to see another cruise missile, targeting the very building he was in.

Instantly, there was a blinding white light, and then complete blackness. Walsh felt a burning sensation. He tried so hard to get away, clawing into space, with his fists, but the pain would not stop. He opened his eyes. Three inches from his cheek, a fire raged on. He scrambled to get up, but a steel beam had crushed his ankle. Dragging himself away from the fire, he crawled from the room and into the hall, where Terrace Smith sat lugging a brown suitcase. Walsh called out, "Help me!

But Smith only smiled as he pulled out a knife and walked over to Walsh. He bent down, driving the blade into Walsh's abdomen. Walsh began silently convulsing, trying to suck in air, but only gurgeling up blood. Slowly, Smith pulled the blade from Walsh's body, twisting the knife in his hands. He brought the knife forward, in front of Walsh's face, and smiled. He flicked his wrist across Walsh's face, his burned cheek split open. Then, Smith brought the knife down onto Walsh's neck, slowly, carefully cutting into the skin and flesh.

A crack sounded down the hall, and Smith fell onto Walsh, the knife slipping to the floor. Smith tried to grab the knife, but Walsh threw him into the air, and as Smith fell, Walsh drove the blade into his heart. At the opposite end of the hall, the young lieutenent, Granger Idar, stood with his gun in his hands.

Admiral Lotam watched the cruise missles lance out from his ships and strike the navel base. They were targeting the air field and the air defense systems. With luck his air forces would be able to strike at the base, along with any ships still docked, without trouble.

"Tell Captain Gald that he can launch his fighters, and have them strike at primary targets." Lotam ordered. He watched as the Kordo Lightning Bolts (based on the F-22 Raptor) streaked to their targets. Lotam knew that more ships and troops were on the way, apparently Will Kordo thought with the declaration of war Grenval made, that Lotam would need more help. Idar help Walsh to his feet, putting one arm beneath Walsh's arm and stand up with him, so that Walsh would not have to put pressure on his shattered ankel. As they rounded the first corner, a beam fell just behind them, sending up a hissing sound like a snake ready to strike. Walking past the fires and burning base was sickening. Have only been built roughly a month before, the unburned metal still gleamed in the moonlight coming through the ceiling that had been blown off. Idar and Walsh descended the stairs into the bunker room, where the leaky pipe had been cut off due to damage from the cruise missiles. Walsh sat down in his chair, behind an old wooden desk. There was no light in the room, the electricity had been blown out, so Idar took candles from the cupboard and placed two on the desk. In the candlelight, the flickering wick dancing in Walsh's eyes, he seemed old and frail, not the superior General he had always seemed.

Idar, who whispered because it seemed the appropriate way to speak in the candlelight, told Walsh, "I will be back soon, after I round up the survivors."

Idar left Walsh and head down the hall to the ammunition room, which was fire proof and had not been hit by and missiles. He armed himself with packs of C-4 and two assualt rifles. Walking from the room, he march down the hall, through the fire. He felt nothing, thought nothing. He simply knew. When the fleet docked, he would destroy the ship, and kill every last crewman.

1843 Hours; Grenvali Naval Base Hadula; Hadula Claimed Waters

The five SSN-774 Virginia NSSN Attack Submarines patrolling the waters around the base stood on high alert. Their orders: kill any ship not their own. No ally nor enemy nor neutral party was to come within one hundred and fifty miles of the base. Of course, the enemy fleet had already broken this line.

Admiral Ventraila of the Virginia Attack Submarine Pack sat in the command room of the lead submarine. Looking through the scope, he spotted a cruiser, firing more missiles in the direction of the base. Ventraila ordered the submarine to dive deeper, hopefully below the radar of the ship. But he had to make sure they were within range to fire.

They moved through the water at one kilometer per hour, stealthy, and noiselessly. When they were within range, Ventraila ordered two torpedoes to be fired into the side of the cruiser. The torpedoes sped down their shafts, breaking into the ocean water, headed directly towards the cruiser.

1850 Hours; 7th & 8th Naval Amrament; International Waters

Josh Drake crouched down on the deck onboard the Carrier Vialish. He wore an orange reflective vest so that he stood out in the night. He waved his flag at a F-22 Raptor, and the warplane sped down the runway, propelled by an electro-magnetic launch system. With a roar, the plane rushed past Drake's ears, but Drake heard only a muffled engine through his ear plugs. But as Drake saw that plane go out, he felt swelling within his chest, the sense of awe that only times such as these could bring. When you know you are part of something more, and it is good.

As the plane sped down the runway, the pilot, a clean-shaven boy of eighteen, felt that same rush. He flew his aircraft out to sea. He knew that in half a day, he would be engaging enemy planes over the waters of Hadula. He would save those men on that base in the middle of a war that was not their fault. And as he thought these things to himself, he remembered the favorite, yet vengeful words of the President.

Pray now, for we shall rip your gods from the sky.

The Katangarian's approached Hadulan Waters, and the feeling amongst the soldiers and the navy was that of subdued excitement.
the lead destroyer sailed quietly ahead. in the control room, a group of people clustered the sonar.
"What do you mean theres a blip? theres nothing there!"
"there is i tell you! theres heaps of them, cept in a nice tube over there."
"well what the hell are they?"
"i think they could be-"
a roaring explosion ripped through the destroyer, and water began gushing into the massive rent in the hull. sirens blared.
"All hands abandon ship! mines to the front! all hands abandon ship!"
in an unorganised rush, the still green navy dived off the ship, others hurrying aboard lifeboats. the rest of the fleet ground to a halt, sending out boats of its own.

****

5 figures jogged through the darkness away from the now smouldering ute. the Katangarian agents had blown their erstwhile escape vehicle to prevent it being traced to their location, and now hunted a phoneline that they coud hijack.
"there, a farm." one spoke into their mic. the others all acknowledged, and together they approached.
"We'll hit them in the middle of the night, once everyones asleep. we'll sleep in shifts, 2 asleep, 3 awake. Delta and Epsilon, you two catch some zz's first. Beta, Foxtrot and I will observe the farmstead for the day."
the men nodded to eachother and proceeded to set up a makeshift camp for the next 16 hours till nighttime.

****

Charlie was lumped into a cell, his nose and one arm broken, and his face a mess of blood. he chuckled as his captors left.
"You can torture me as much as you like! you wont get shit out of me!" he shouted in Katangarian, and began to laugh loudly and maniacally.

****

The wrecked destroyer sat almost completely sunk as the fleet finished collecting survivors and began to sail on.
"Well, there seems to be a corridor, looks like a larger group than us has come through here recently."
the captain of the main battleship nodded thoughtfully. "alright, proceed at half speed, in a close formation. and keep active scanners going. i want to know of any hsotiles before they know of us."

"Sir! We are detecting enemy fighter launches!" a crewman yelled.

Admiral Lotam swore. The cruise missiles were supposed to have taken out the land based runways and the saboteur should have disabled the carriers ability to launch. So either one of the two attacks hadn't worked or the Grenval had more resources then previously known.

"Order the Lightning Bolts in the air to intercept them, and have the carriers scramble more fighters. Its us or them people and we will win this." Lotam said

The two naval armaments had arrived. Approaching the base, they saw the still smoldering remants of the barracks. As the fleet approached the base, they saw a massive naval dogfight taking place. Grenval had lost one carrier, two destroyers, and three submarines during the days of fighting. But now, reinforcements had arrived. Admiral Ventraila saw the incoming fleet through his scope, and right there he began rejoicing. Before long, he had the entire crew singing with him. But while they dropped their guard, the enemy attacked. There was an enourmous lurch towards the rear of the submarine. Suddenly, there were screams everywhere and water began rushing in. A torpedo had hit the submarine, and the ship was sinking. Admiral Ventraila tried to surface the damaged ship, to no avail. Looking around he saw the green water, who wrought death and destruction upon his crew. In a memoir later found stored in a plastic bag beneath the wreckage, Admiral Ventraila wrote:

There was screaming everywhere. A young man came running into the control room, blinded by the blood and pain pouring from a gash on his head. He had been thrown off his feet when the submarine was hit, and he collasped on the floor, dronwing in his own blood. We would have saved him, but there was only time to save ourselves. We had a few scuba suits, which I gave to the younger officers. They simply went out the hatch. Others went naked, or in the clothes on their back. But I choose to die with this ship. Swirled in the green waters of the sea forever more.

Much damage had been done to the factories in Haluda, and despite the fact that they had tried to blame the Austar Union for so called "civillian casualties", it seemed as if no-one had taken notice enough to belief their false claims. Nevertheless, it was time for stage two.

Meeting with his closest advisors, he was informed that several naval battles were already underway, and that it was virtually pointless to add to the confusion. He was to skip a step, and to insert forces into Haluda. It wouldnt be a large force, but it would be something like a special-forces operation.

Making the relevant orders was easy, and the selection was easy, but getting the troops onto Haludan soil via helicoptor wouldnt be too easy considering the situation. One which would require careful planning. Walking into his office, he shut the door behind him, and began to plan the operation immediatley.

Lotam sighed as he looked and looked at the two fleets. The Grenval fleet was the worse off, but his ships were still damaged. He had one submarine damaged and that had to leave the battle, and one destroyer had been sunk. The rest of his ships had all taken damage. And while he did have more ships coming they were several hours away, and the Grenval reinforcements were nearly in range.
He ordered his remaining submairne to attack the new ships. With luck that would keep them out of the battle until either the original Grenval fleet could be defeated or to his reinforcements could arrive. He hoped both would come to pass before the next battle, but luck like that rarely could be found on the battlefield...

"Gentleman, are we finished?"
Immediately, the Minister of Defense stood up. "Yes sir," he replied. "Both are naval armaments have reached Hadula. They are engaging the enemy now. We are to move into the defensive, effectively laying seige to our own base from Kordo attacks."
"And the agent?" asked the President.

The newly arrived fleets had engaged and sunk their first destroyer. Morale surged amongst the crew. Onboard a cruiser stationed on the western tip of the island, a warning came online. The sirens flared and the lights flashed, waking up the off shifts and bringing the ship screaming into action. The men prayed the defense system worked. One young crewman, by the name of Greg Valer, fell to his knees, praying to his god.
"Lord keep me; Lord spare me; and Lord deliver me unto your heavenly throne."
With the finishing words, a torpedo slammed through the walls of the cruiser, and into Valer's head. His brain was burned to ashes in the following explosion.
The defense systems had worked for the starboard side of the cruiser, but another torpedo was also headed for the other half. As Valer's eyes, which had popped out of his skull, were disintegrated in the ensuing heat of the explosion, the cruiser began to sink. After tilting completely onto its side in the time of seven minutes, the metal voyager sunk into the depths beneath the ocean spray, the spray the color of white, the color of the terror stricken face of Valer in his desendence into hell.

Excert From Journal of Unknown Soldier

The losses were unbearable. As our brother's ship, fated to the blackness of the unseen depths, sunk, we tried desparately to save their lives. But so many were lost, so many were lost.
Today, the President ordered us to move into purely defensive positions. And yet our brothers still died aboard that death cruiser. And every night I wonder, am I next?

Admiral Lotam sighed. Apparently the government had intercepted a transmission to the enemy fleet ordering them to the edge of international waters, at least to the reinforcements arrived. Then they would move back into Hadulan waters and begin unloading troops. The fleet was also ordered to defensive posture. Lotam did not think of this as defeat but a minor set back. He would be forced to use his carefully gathered favors and allies to push for all out war. It did not guarantee success, but it hopefully would help his position.

John Doolittle stood on the front of the ship, the wind rippling on his uniform. The Master-Chief couldn't believe this. They, how could he let this happen!? His stern face turned to the Marshall behind him. His facce tightened a bit as he began to speak.

"Marshall Tamagawa, set a course for Suva at full speed. We can cut through Grenvali controlled waters straight to the port city in the south. After there, order the Wavebreakers to decimate the blockade. After the Dominion blockade is in chaos, have the cruiser press through the wall, and leave no ship afloat. The time now is to strike, and we must do so with great swiftness and force. Do not fail me Marshall, or we may all lose to these fascists. Go now, send the orders."

With a quick nod the Asian man nodded to his superior officer and started yelling in Portugese across the ship, and inside, the carrier was set to work. MiG-25s were set to take flight, slowly being lifted to the upperside of the carrier. John Doolittle was handed the two way radio and set the frequency to their Grenvali allies. Unfortunately the Dominion had been setting up radio jammers, making radio communication less than efficient, but it is the msot convenient and practical. What else could you do, speak into a can?

In the radio transceivers in the Grenvali military installations on the southern Grenvali-owned province, a message barely made through the jamming grid the Dominion had weaved over the Hadulan airspace. With various crackles and pops, the distinguishable voice of the UTA's Master-Chief John Doolittle, commander-in-cheif of the Socialist Hadulan state's armed forces came through.

*Crackle* Hello... Com.. In... Master-Chief... The UTA.... Have arrived... REquesting... Right of passage... Support... Do you hear... Come in...*Crackle*

The Katangarian fleet sailed cleanly into Suva to lend their aide to their new Grenvali allies. Personell were unloaded quickly and efficiently, and the two Katangarian Forces set up an immediate base. the helicopters were unloaded and an area cleared for them to stay landed. The army was ready to strike.

"Sir, are we going to allow passage?"

The President looked thoughtfully at the Minister, and then, suddenly, the fire came into his eyes. "Not only are we going to allow the ships through, we are going to launch a surprise attack with the twelve remaining submarines in the area. As the UTA pushes throught the wall, our submarines will flank the dispersing ships."[i]

And from there, the orders went out, the Dominion would be crushed in one mighty blow.

1250 Hours; HI Lawbringer [Bridge]; Hadulan Claimed Territory

John Doolittle had already received the message, and spread his hand over the map in frotn of him, pushing the curling sides straight. He gestured for his Council and the Southwest Marshall Tamagawa to come closer.

"Recon has completed the scann on the blockade. We are up against a tight force. We can expect heavy resitence, and we are outnumbered, 3 ships to one. Here are the estimates from the MiG escorted recon over the wall..."

He pointed out to the rather detailed report given to him. Almost the entire Dominion armada had amassed in the Suva blockade, creating a bastion of oppression that was between the UTA and their freedom. Many of the councilors fell silent, but the asian Marshall began to speak.

"I lived in Suva all my life. There is a way. Look here, they are amassed at the Suvan harbor. However, there is another, narrow channel that goes here from the west. That is enough to get in one or two of our Wavebreakers unnoticed. Almost all of the ships are either on the harbor perimeter or are docked. If we get the Wavebreakers here, we can launch torpedos from behind the wall, without major detection by sonar, as most of the ships in the harbor will most likely not be watched, considering the number constraints the Dominion is facing. After the Wavebreakers start the attack, we can move in the three dreadnoughts and our carrier, and they will be attacked on both sides. The ships will have nowhere to run, and cannot stand up to such a stratagem."

Many of the councilors nodded at the genius of the plan. Doolittle himself put his hand on the Marshall's shoulder.

"Godspeed, comrade."

Quickly afterwards the coordinates and exact plans were sent via satellite to the Grenvali, so they may compare notes on the battle plan if neccescary. The UTA fleet was 500 hours (military time) from reaching their destination, Suva, meaning "Mouth" in Hadulan. It was named such after the huge harbor that it is famous for. Suva will now fall back to the people.

Little did the resistance in the Southeast realize, that the end has just begun in the Northwest New Portugal province...

Admiral Lotam looked at the reports of the two fleets. This battle could be the decisive battle in the war. If the rebels lost their moral would be crushed, and the former government could regain the upper hand. He had specific orders not let that happen.

Lotam pressed the intercom to the bridge. "Captain prepare to set sail to Suva along with the carriers Battle for St. Charles and Battle Lust and the neccessary escorts. The rest of the fleet will continue to unload the supplies here. Inform me when we near striking range. That is all."

Lotam looked at the map. With luck, his fleet would be able to strike at a distance. He would begin his attack by destroying the enemy carriers with a barrage of torpedeos and missiles from his submarines and aircraft. Once they were gone, he could bring in the rest of his fleet, and the battle would be all but over. That is, if they could get there in time....

OOC: oh, my mistake. i assumed they were in control of Suva. kay. just rpetend my guys have based in with the Grenvalies and are assisting the rebuilding, along with setting up their own camp.

The leader of the Katangarian joint forces in the theatre, one Colonel Kinnison, approached the leader of the Grenvali naval forces.

"Son, you in charge here?" he asked, and then without waiting for a reply, continued talking in drawling english. "My naval forces are relatively green, we got no idea. and i understand your preparing to run the blockade on yonder city. we happen to want that city. so im placing my naval forces under your command via my liason until i need them again. Our ships arent anything major, but a few extra destroyers and a pair of battleships is better than a slap in the eye."

The Colonel paused for his counterpart's reply.

a small group of Katnagarian soldiers walked slowly through the Hadulan countryside, chewing on sandwiches as they made a brisk pace. the farm they left torched behind them had been a wellspring of information, as well as food and new orders. Alpha thoughtfully recalled what had been demanded of them...
"You want us to WHAT?" Alpha yelled into the microphone that had been jacked into the farm's phoneline. "Damnit sir, i don't think you quite understand whats at stake here! theres a good chance that smoe of those weapons will have survived. we did a lot of damage to the infrastructure, but the factory itself could still be standing. and we dont know what the austar misile strikes did!"
another voice came through the speakers. "Listen, soldier. our boys will be coming down in Suva soon. you are to get there as soon as possible and link up with the CO. Out."
and the speaker had clicked off.
a few days of walking had the troops only a small amount closer to Suva, and now they looked towards hijacking a car to transport them to their new mission area.

In a command tent, Grenval Base, south of Suva
the Katangarian officers all sat in front of a large projector screen, Colonel Kinnison standing next to it with a pointer.
"Alright lads. soon the Grenval's will be moving in to break the blockade. we reckon that this will be the best time to try an insertion. the shipborne anti-aircraft will be busy, and our own flyboys will fly extra cover.
"The goal is this building." *click*
a slide popped up showing a satelite photo of Suva. circled in red pen, a large square building several stories high.
"Our intelligencfe suggests that this building is not only the easiest defendable, but also the capitol building for the city's council. liberating the records within will give us a lot more information on who and what we're dealing with.
"Your mission is simple. Company A and B will split off to secure the perimeter at these four locations" The colonel pointed to the corners of the grounds around the building, a small ornamental garden that surrounded it. "meanwhile, Company C will drop in from the roof and attempt to flush out any hostiles they can get. flashbangs are preferable. every enemy captured is one more bargaining chip should you need to withdraw."
The Colonel scanend his troops
"Any Questions?"
one young Lieutenant raised his hand. "I have one. what are we expecting in anti air on the trip in?"
The Colonel nodded.
"Good question, son. the answer is, we dont know. we'll be sending in 5 frogfoot bombers, as well as a few f-15's for cover. but mainly it'll be up to the chopper pilots to keep you safe. you'll be going in low and fast. any other questions?"

The meeting adjourned and the Katangarian forces, fully 3,600 fighting personell, prepared to do their duty.

He smiled and walked out into the darkness, and Charlie could hear the slam of the steel metal door. But before then, he heard the slightest sound. A small din. A needle...Charlie whimpered happily. just a small needle, but he could use it to good effect. carefully he stood up, testing himself for injuries. grimacing in pain, he took count of his bruises and broken bones. 4 ribs broken, one of his legs horribly bruised, his nose broken, his face cut and bruised, a mess of blood. two fingers on his left hand crushed. Charlie grimaced again.
"Least i've got my right hand."
he stooped and picked up the needle, then stopped to think.
I can pick the lock he thought, or i can wait for fishie to arrive back and try to threaten him with it...
Charlie quickly decided, and moved up to the door. examining it for the first time, he swore.
"Thatd be right. no lock on this side. trust my bloody luck."
Charlie moved around till he stood where the door would open, behind it, but not directly in case it should be thrown open. smiling, he dipped the needle into one of his open wounds, digging the scab off and causing it to bleed again.
"See what these fish think of contaminated blood" he grinned, coating the needle with his blood. then he settled in sorely to wait
