Today Blaugrana, after a long and hard search of looking for peaceful/pacifists organizations, has decided to start the Pact of Peaceful Nations. The Pact is dedicated to world peace trough activism, diplomacy, aid, etc. The Pact provides humanitarian aid to war torn nations, provides an international court for war criminals, is staffed with the greatest diplomats out there to end difficult wars, and is most importantly a coalition of willing nations for peace. You do not have to be a pacifist to join, you only have to have the idea of world peace possibly! Even if the chances are 1 in a million. That is the only requirement to join having the hope even if it is small that peace is possible. Join today by t gramming Blaugrana or posting here in the forum.

NOTE: Later when POPN gains members we will establish a charter, a system of rule, etc.

OOC: Do you accept magitek nations with kilometer-long skyships?
Also, you might want to provide an outline of the primary aims of this organization. IMO, the 'World Court' idea is not going to work. It's been tried, and it has failed repeatedly.

Re: Pact of Peaceful Nations (PoPN)

The Kingdom of Weyr is interested in finding out more about this organization. We are interested in membership, provided we will not be required to intervene in every petty conflict in the world by joining this organization.

Sincerely,
Consul-General J. W. Gibbs

Very well then. TOmmorow I will establish a forum outside of nationstates so that we can talk of the aims of the organization, wheter the organization should maintain a 'World Court', etc. POPN will not intervene in every petty conflict because it just does not have the time or the resources, we try to intervene in larger or more important conflicts. And yes nations with kilometer long skyships may join the organization, later in the real formation of the organization we will talk about wheter nations may engage in war while members, wheter they may be a member of a military alliance, etc.

Major-General Markowitz, who has been key in the reconstruction of the Lightning-Starian city of Norvington, explains:

When you deploy any civil or humanitarian workers into a nation which is undergoing internal and/or external armed conflict, those workers must be protected by military force. It has been our experience, both at home and abroad, that some nations and peoples only stop shooting at aid workers when they see that those aid workers are covered by machines that can blot out the sun.

We deployed over half a million reconstruction workers to Norvington in the form of several Corps from the Logistics Directorate of the High Guard. We then backed them with three corps of conventional High Guard ground forces from the Expeditionary Directorate. This, at least in part, prevented local militants from attacking our workers, and ensured that no combatants were using the city (Norvington) we took control of as a base of operations against other nations involved in armed conflict around the city.
