I look forward to critiquing your navy if you have one. That's really the branch I'm most comfortable with. Then again, the Burnsian DESERT might not have one. ;)]

Well being the military nut that I am (I've read numerous war memoirs, my favorite being Lost Victories by Erich Von Manstein) I must suggest a few things.


1) Your division size of 50,000 is far too large for the HQ staff to control and direct. I suggest you drop to a more standard size of about 18,000 (22-24,000 by the time you add in weapons crews and support staff etc)

2) I'd suggest that your divisions armored complement not exceed 500... 1,000 at the extreme high. Just make more armored divisions with fewer tanks, add in mobile artillery and mechanized infantry with reconaissance elements.

3) I'd say your army should be at least 8-12 million strong, but that is just my opinion. My army is never at "Peacetime" size. My nation is alway ready for anything (Alien invasion, full-scale native uprising in Egypt, zombies, etc).

4) I'd get rid of the Ak-47 (Trust me I know firsthand, they're okay for peasants who cannot maintain a better rifle, but other than that, they're not good for shooting beyond 300-400 meters)

5) I'd get rid of the M-16A2. It's not a very long-range gun. If you want a 5.56mm Nato, go with the G-36. Otherwise, go with a 308 rifle like the G-3, M-14, (My nation has over 800 million M-14B rifles, this is our custom version for improved accuracy) I'd still suggest the G-36, the XM-8, or the OICW.

6) I'd switch from the MP-5K to the MP-5N, for improved length and accuracy. The MP-5K is mostly for carrying under a coat, and for vehicle crews in very tight spots.

7) I'd standardize the M-249 Squad Automatic Weapon as the standard SAW.

8) Your army is going to be a quartermaster's nightmare because you're mixing Western calibers with Russian calibers, etc. I'd say standardize. Go with the Western calibers, (7.62mm Nato and 5.56mm Nato for the rifles, medium machine guns, and Squad Automatic Weapons)

I'd personally add some helicopters, for attack, and logistics. Personally though I'd suggest the G-36. It's accurate, reliable, and durable. It's pretty light too. CM pretty much covered the rest.
