Hello, I'm Krisie Chan for BNN News. Today, Queen Rachel Romalia is speaking publicly on a landmark decision involving the entire society as we know it. Let's go to the Royal Palace, live with Chet Burner. Chet?

Yes, hello Krisie, I'm standing here right outside the Royal Palace, where the Queen is speaking on the subject of private enterprise, and- oh, here she comes! Dan! The camera, turn the camera!

"Citizens of The Burnsian Desert," began the Queen. "We all know that for a long time, private enterprise has been outlawed, and the big businesses have thrived under government support. It has come to my attention that some of these businesses are becoming so large and powerful, that they present a threat to the economy of our great nation.

"It has also come to my attention that hundreds of thousands of Burnsians are starving, cold, hungry, and penniless in the streets of cities and towns across the nation.

"I have made it my personal business to make sure that every single Burnsian has the rights and welfare they are entitled to. Therefore, I officially declare, that every single person in this country that wants to own and operate a small business, is allowed to do so. Private enterprise is no longer outlawed."

A huge, deafening cheer arose from the entire nation, from the crowd assembled to listeners at home. The next day, millions of patents were issued from Burnsian patent offices. Thousands of people quit their jobs at such large companies as Burnsian General Transportation and The Burnsian Desert Arms Company. New shops opened up everywhere, and new businesses thrived.

Yes, Burnsian Desert, Together We Can.

OOC: That's the problem with this damned game... lowering taxes takes about a hundred proposals to do...

[OOC: I know! Not only that, but the powers-that-be seem to think that the only source of government revenue is income taxes.]
