OOC: Advice needed on custom military and civilian unit prototypes

I've been wondering about several things in regards to custom development of ships, ground based units, and aircraft. I also have a question or two about other things.

1. What's the maximum size that hydrofoils can be built without severe reduction in their abilities?

2. I heard about some sort of super-conducting engines for naval vessels that can practically provide infinite fuel by using water itself to propel the ship? I heard there were prototypes with this that were produced and unveiled within the past 10 years.

3. What would be the fastest speed that treads can travel?

4. How much weight can treads hold up before severe "sinking" and reduced mobility sets in?

5. What would be the fastest jet speeds be within acceptable Modern and Post Modern RP'ing?

6. What would be the heaviest acceptable payloads be for aircraft?

7. What would be the acceptable maximum manueverability?

8. Would miniature nuclear power plants or hydrogen cell fuel plants be acceptable within modern time frames? We already have both technologies, either in use or in prototype stages.

I'd appreciate any feedback on these questions, so I don't end up making units intended for Modern Age, but end up in Post Modern or Future Tech eras of accepted RP'ing.

Thanks and have a great day!
