Markov - if you were to fire that gun while at full speed, your bullets would quickly melt - perhaps even DU bullets would be shredded by the high speeds. You might want to research that some more.

Well dogfights usually don't occur while both aircraft are going mach 4 so i don't think i have to worry.

OOC:First of all if this is the next generation of Air superiority then i'm laughing because mach 2.8 is slow compaired to any modern tech the United states has and the Avro Areo for one had a spead of Mach 3.8 and it was scraped becouse the world was not ready for such an anvanced machine. now in modern times we have fighters that reach a Crusing speed of mach 4.5 and a grand speed of close to mach 7 compleatly over taking your fighter in speed and fighting power. We also have test fighters that reach speeds of 7.2. but other then the lack of speed I'd have to say nice design and nice pics.

i made the model in a CAD program called "DOGA" and then i textured it in a pregram called "Bryce 5".

We plan on outfitting our purchased craft with this technology, but felt you might be interested in integrating the system into your design. Basically, what it does is send a tightly focused (think laser) EMP at missiles (and aircraft if possible) that are approaching the plane which completely shuts down electronic systems for anywhere from 15 sec. to 2 minutes. Effectiveness of the pulse and targeting accuracy falls off with distance from the target and relative speeds, but at Mach 1.5 the standard electronically guided anti-aircraft missile is effectively rendered useless as an attack 89% of the time at distances of less than 0.81 miles.

Nice idea, although I ahev designned a modernish version (2010 about) of this, the TyH-58 Cockatiel, using the sweeping-forward wings and rear exhusts control, however, having your exhust pipes more squarish would help in IR hiding by makign the hot air escaping "rinse" if you will with the cooler outer air, hwoever of cource in mach 1.3+, this is not useful, then you got to use a cooling ssytem.

Good job with teh' laser and gunnery systems m8. Also, for future referances, our engine seems to be too underpower actually, form your disciption, you could add on a few more thousand pounds of thrust (roughly 4). Althoguh that usually is not much.
