Microsoft Corporation outlawed in Penpusher Confederacy

Penpusher Confederacy

Microsoft Corporation, owned by William Henry Gates, has been outlawed in Penpusher Confederacy by the Department of Domestic Security, due to security holes in much of the company's software. A particular product, Windows, is responsible for the death of thousands during a nuclear weapons test, when a missile's guidance software, which was running on Windows, crashed and the missile freefalled into a small town of 22,000. A bill was introduced to Parliament to ban the company and all of its software, and it was passed one week later. To enforce the law, citizens have been required to reformat their computers and install alternative non-Microsoft software. Many citizens chose open-source operating systems such as Linux and FreeBSD. A few chose a commercial version of the Darwin operating system for PowerPC platforms, MacOS X. Penpusher ISPs have installed filters to filter out Windows systems from connecting to the Internet.
