OOC: Handy. Would you have any way of knowing if a mysterious wealthy businessman were to specify a certain address for them to be delivered to just who he was?

OOC: Contact the dealer, the Shah is the one having this art auctioned and it's rather hard to get into Persepolis Palace.

Letter sent to the dealers, Imperial Art Dealers of Parthia.

Sir;
I am a wealthy man living abroad who has long sought fine works of art, and would very much appreciate being able to enter the bidding for these works.

Should I be allowed to enter, I would have one of my freighters pick up the shipment, no matter how small. The personnel board would be fully briefed.

I await eagerly your reply.

Yours Faithfully,
Mr. D. B. Parker (KCB)

The letter had no return address or postmark.

Quite fine, we will allow you use of the Imperial Shipping Industry wharf in Hormuz to dock your ship. The auction itself will be in Persepolis, which is 30 miles northwest of Shiraz.

Sir;
I am very appreciative of your generosity. I assure you you will not be disappointed.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Parthenon was an aging freighter. Laid down on the Tyne in the late 1930s, the ship was still fired by coal and still powered by triple-compound reciprocating engines in her engine room, still carried the great Yarrow boilers that she had been built with. Her crew of 95 men consisted of 11 officers and 84 other hands, of whom 70 were stokers or engineers. She chugged through the choppy, slate-greay sea, mirroring the slate-grey sky, toward her destination. Her holds were totally empty. But her crew were alert all the same. piracy was unknown in these waters. They were not alert for pirates. They were alert because each man was a trained Navy sailor and each had assigned to him a rifle and pistol with ammunition. They had been told to keep quiet if at all possible, saying that they spoke not much English or something to that effect. The ship's DPUO registration and number had been hastily altered; now she was a nameless tramp steamer.

What do you mean... This art is all real, no one RPed setting up fakes in the museum.

"Luckily, the damage done to Hataria Mammalia's building had been minimal, and the Hataria Mammalian Reserve building had not been touched; Mattius had made that building a priority.

Inside the reserve lay some of the finest and most expensive jewellery ever carved in the western hemisphere and, it appeared, around 30% of the Hataria Mammalian diamonds and almost half of Hataria Mammalia's historical artwork. It had turned out, on studying masses of paper work, that the Hataria Mammalian government had begun a policy of switching the real diamonds and artwork for cheap fakes, and hidden the real stuff deep within the Reserve faults. It appeared that in their rush to leave the Parthians had forgotten about the reserve."

I posted this almost 24 hours ago in the same thread in which you pillaged HM. As I said, I sincerly hope that you have checked your artwork. And as you appear to only know about this now...

Godmoding to the extreme... but we'll go along with it.

We stole-
750,000,000 in Diamonds
50,000,000 in art
300,000,000 in other goods.

And yes, the artwork has been checked.... anything being auctioned is real.

fine, fine....
We still did make off with the value of the goods posted above, since I halved the value of the artwork stolen.

Maybe you should try to take back the art in this auction....

Diamonds: 500,000,000,000
