Malys smiled as she looked up into the sky above Mekanta Zero. As the third member of the Triumvirate commanding the new UPE/SC (Under Pact Earth/Space Corps), she was placed in charge of re-establishing Mekanta's power under The Pact keeping thier Advanced assets from interfering with the unevolved primatives of Earth.
As the scientific mind of the Triumvirate, she constantly adapted technology for Mekantan use, and above, half completed but still undeniably deadly, was a fully Mekantan revival of the most deadly weapon wielded by the Imperium before its return to the stars.
The Phalanx.
Malys smiled. She had been but a girl all those thousands of Jazuras ago, Nexus Time, when Mekanta was still recovering from the Cataclysm. Forced at the technological level of these apes, not remembering who they truely were...
Thier alliance with Central Facehuggeria was thier only salvation. For the war that forged it, introduced Mekanta to the (then) awesome power of the Megagun.
And the first of the new Phalanx II's four weapons of mass destruction were finished, and fully loaded.
Mentally, she reviewed the stats for this massive space platform.

Damage equated to that of a high grade nuclear weapon.
Firing Rate: One shot per five minutes per gun
Secondary Guns: Twenty Meteor series Mass Drivers
Damage equated to that of a high grade cruise missile.
Firing Rate: One shot per minute per gun.
Defense Guns: Fourty Shriek series Mass Drivers
Damage equated to that of an average interceptor missile.
Firing Rate: That of an average semi-automatic handgun
Power: Six fusion reactors
Life Support: Minimal, plant based
Other Equipment: Docking and support facilities for UPSC shuttles and Mekantan Imperium ships.
She looked a good distance away, noting the recently-finished Rail Launchers were already operating at peak parameters.
The Pact said nothing about the Advanced Mekantans helping the UPE/SC in establishing thier presence. One the Phalanx, and thier infrastructure was completed, the Advanced would let the UPE/SC fend for themselves except in emergencies...
Malys laughed. The Nations of Man had no idea what they would be dealing with if they angered Mekanta. No longer would The Pact protect them...

The Megagun basicly just flings a 700 meter asteroid-like railgun shell at its target. It removes a lot of the problems and limitations of missiles.
Open commenting, but any IC knowlage of the Phalanx would be limited to seeing something big being constructed in orbit above Mekanta Zero on Earth. Anything known beyond "it's big" would likely be a godmod unless you can justify it.
Any attempt to attack it before its done will be met head on by Mekanta's Sol Fleet, which, unlike the UPE/SC is still Future Tech. So no meddling and trying to get more info unless you want to stare down the twin booms of a Reflex Cannon. >_<
