The morning winds were strong along the eastern coast of Hades Cluster. Six fleets stationed themselves, preparing for a glorious expansion of the empire. An expansion long awaited. Admiral Deveron, head of the attacking fleet, looked out upon his force. He grinned as he saw his 12 Nimitz class carriers set sail to lead the fleet. He simply smiled when he received orders to start the campaign.

12 division of 15 thousand regular army, 6 divisions of 10 thousand ITDGF forces, 2 divisions of 11 thousand mechanized troops, 2 divisions of 11 thousand demolition troops, 1 division of 12 thousand engineers. This was all General Phillip J. Descartes requested for this campaign. This is all he would need for his occupying force. This is all he would need to take the land of Lord of Mordor. The soldiers were loaded onto the transport ships and planes. He opted to travel with Admiral Deveron.

The fleet set out at 06:00 hours, headed straight for the shores of Lord of Mordor. This war had to be quick and fast. This land wasn’t like the other lands ITD had taken; this land was quite large and vast. The Emperor ordered minimal casualties, something he had never ordered before.

The fleet had taken 6 hours to reach the limit of international waters around Lord of Mordor. They did not stop, crossing into the waters with no trouble. The war had begun.

The ships landed six hours after setting sail. The beach was calm, no structures could be seen, thick woods obstructed the view of the top of the short cliff face, which guarded the the land entrance. This would be the home base for the invasion. ITD forces like to live dangerously. The infantry soldiers began scouring the area, no civilians are resistance had been found.

"General, the area is secure. No LoM citizens found." said an officer.

"Move out and secure the perimeter. Report back on any resista....."

Gunfire erupted. Shells began to fire from the ITD ships in the direction of, what now, appeared to be a LoM settlement. Planes flew overhead to get an overview of the land.

~General, we have movement of civilians about half a mile inland. No military units found. Looks like we caught them offguard.~ said the lead pilot through the radio.

"Excellent.... All units, take the island." said the General "Bring me their leader."

Let it be known that Lord of Mordor now belongs to the Empire of Itinerate Tree Dweller.

Half the island nation was under ITD control by mid-noon 3 days after the invasion. There had been minimal casualties, 120 civilians were dead, 1 soldier was seriously injured. Civilians were being transfered into refugee camps so that they may be resettles later. The island soon interupted into rebellion, as ITD forces poured into the land. LoM citizens began fighting against the brutal control of their former government. The populace was on the side of the ITD invaders.

Pockets of LoM military were found and destroyed with little effort. LoM had only basic war technology, as the land had long been disarmed. Massive waves of 4, 5, even 7 milliion civilians sweeped across cities, killing LoM leaders and raising crude versions of the ITD flag, even the flag of the old ITD Republic made some showings. This land had been cut off from contact with other nations for quite sometime, they still believed ITD was a republic.

ITD forces reached the capitol in less than 4 days, finding the place in disarray. The former leaders were found hanging from trees, skinned and burned. ITD forces only smiled as they saw the ruthlessness of the local citizens. Now, to take the other half of the island.

The population was up in arms. 1200 LoM officials had been lynched, 4200 police were dead (and that is the capitol all by itself) 10 days into the war, ITD had already won the populace over. The nations borders were now being patrolled by ITD forces. What the ITD forces didnt expect was the actions of one of the deposed rulers of the island.

The politician ran, desperate to reach a communication terminal. He was being followed by soldiers and armed civilians. He ran down 3 flights of stairs into a small communication room, and sent out a message (which was somewhat broken up due to faulty equipment).

A sencond message, sent by ITD forces, followed.

The island nation was now under the control and reign of the ITD Empire. A total 12000 politicians were now dead. All national military and police forces had been squashed by Empire forces, with help from the citizens in rebellion.

The Admiral and General left the command ship 12 days into the campaign. They took notice of captured prisoners and sent them off to ITD reeducation camps in the ITD mainland. 1472 total people were taken capture. The final bodycount of civilians dead numbers in the millions. 3 million civilians were now dead from either rioting or fighting. This was but a dent in the total population.

86 percent of the total population had sided with the ITD Empire forces, this show of support wasnt entirely expected, but it just made grins come to the faces of the ITD soldiers.

The war was over in 14 days. No fighting was reported, and the rebuilding could begin. The occupation forces was to consist of 5 infantry divisions and 1 fleet. The rest of them left the island nation to regroup and sail back to Hades Cluster for restocking and docking.

2 trillion in gold bars had been taken by the Empire government. The Empire gave the order for a nation wide census of infrastructure begin in 6 days.
