Isolationism of Gorkon Ended -- Diplomatic Ties Sought

Gorkon is always open to diplomatic functions, and as such, you are free to request an embassy to be placed within our soil to create ties. If you wish for us to install an embassy in your own nation, please be advised that Gorkon is a military government -- our embassies are in fact military bases, ranging in size from 500 soldiers to 100,000 soldiers, depending on your wishes. If it makes you feel any better, Gorkon has a tolerance for military bases, so you may establish one here. Our military bases function the same as embassies, only because of the nature of our government, civilian representation is not available.

Foreign embassies will be placed in the Embassy District of Gorkonica City. This is a designated area of the city with ample space for numerous embassies, it is well-defended by the Gorkonian Colonial Infantry, and within easy access of high-ranking officers. Foreign military bases will be placed at our discretion.

Should you already have an embassy or base in Gorkon (or, vice-versa), use this thread to initiate diplomatic talks/request aid, etc.

So the hand of friendship has been extended. Feel free to take it.

Well if Camewot is there I'd like to install an embassy.

Camewot; certainly, what did you have in mind?

Samotopia; we shall arrange space for you as soon as possible.

Honourable representative of Samotopia; three locations have been made available. One is in the so-called 'Embassy district', where several of the abandoned embassies reside. This is the same region as Camewot's embassy, and is not too far from the Palace of Monarchs.
Another is out in the countryside (the countryside of Gorkon resembling the deserts of America). You'll be isolated, but a nearby military base should combine with this isolation to make it more safe from things like terrorism, or just nosy visitors.
And finally, the top floor of 'Commerce Tower', in the Business District of the capital city, could potentially be used. It is a corporate building, 32 storeys high, but the rent would be paid for by Gorkonian High Command. It is in better condition than the first location, it does not have to be built from scratch as would the second location, but it is slightly smaller, less open to modification and you would not be able to claim it as 'Samotopian soil'. You'd also have to conform to the various regulations of the building. It's pretty, though. Good view too.

Samotopia: Yer flag's been planted. Seeing as you apparently have some ties with Camewot, you're in the next plot. We can either make necessary repairs to the building ourselves, you can do it, or you can just leave it as it is. Besides some cleaning and replacing the windows, it's in otherwise good condition considering.

DontPissUsOff: Thank you for the information. That was just what we were looking for.

OOC: Turkmeny, sorry to barge in, but are you still interested in those ships?

OOC: Yeah, sorry, I almost forgot about them.

Turkmeny: Thank you for the link. A single Chikara-class carrier shall suffice for now, at $3,720,000,000. The rest of our fleet uses Gorkonian-made vessels, and is fine as it is, if in need of a few more ships. We shall wire you the money on confirmation.

EDIT= Actually, up that number to three Chikara-class Carriers, at $11,160,000,000. Got more than enough of a defence budget to play around with, may as well use it.

It is the desire of the Kingdom of Romandeos that our two nations establish a diplomatic connection through the creation of mutual embassies in both of our two countries. However, we desire that you keep your embassy to the minimum size of around five hundred soldiers. We would be willing to do the same with our embassy.

~King Christian Woodburne of the Kingdom of Romandeos.

Although we distrust monarchies greatly, 500 troops would be quickly overwhelmed if they attempted anything. Thus, we accept these terms. Be warned, however, that misuse of this show of trust will result in destruction of your embassy, execution of all who reside there, and following this, we will subject your monarchy to the same fate as our own. I am sure that you have honourable intentions, though.
We will send Lt. Colonel Geoffrey Jones along with his contingent of personnel as soon as possible. They will submit to any security procedures you require of them, short of unreasonable requests. Your own personnel will be stopped, their identities will be confirmed and their weapons will be inventoried, but nothing major.

To all whom it may concern;

I am hereby announcing the full withdrawal of Gorkonian Officers and troops from all foreign nations for the time being; including those stationed at embassies and at military bases. This is an unfortunate decision and one which was not taken lightly, but they are required for an internal difficulty which has arisen.

Furthermore, I must advise that all foreign dignitaries and civilians leave Gorkonian territory now while they still can. This is neither a threat nor a demand, just a suggestion. Gorkonian Military High Command will do its utmost to ensure their safety as though they were our own citizens, but under the current circumstances we cannot make any guarantees.

In addition to this, we will not be accepting any new embassy requests.

This will essentially mean that Gorkon will become isolated for the foreseeable future. I hope that this is a temporary measure and that diplomatic relations can be resumed as normal as soon as possible. Until then, please heed my advice: stay away from Gorkon. Save yourselves.
