For weapons at the moment, you will have almost zilch. Yer population is 5 million. That's a total armed forces of about 100000, and that should include logistics and supply officers as well. In reality, weaponry is certainly not important to you right now. Plus, what type of nation are you? Post-Modern, Future, Modern, Past, Fantasy, or a mix of any types? Different types will use different weaponry at varying costs.
At the moment, until you become larger, focus on individual character or small group RP's.
Oh, and for heaven's sake, use capitals, commas, full stops, etc. We don't need another Ziotah/Sephrioth on our hands.

ooc:
First off, read the stickies, they are the posts always at the top of the forum. The contain vital knowledge to the success of your nation in the forums. The general rule of thumb regarding military is 5% of your population, and this is wartime only because supporting a prolonged military of that size would be difficult.
You can get money either through trade or just plain growth. To get a good idea of how well your nation is doing visit the http://thirdgeek.com/nseconomy.php?nation=Guns_inc (http://thirdgeek.com/nseconomy.php?nation=Guns_inc)
Unfortunately, your region is so large that it might not be able to display your stats. hint: move to a smaller region.
Other than that, welcome to the game... good luck.

OOC: A good number is 1.5-2% of your population for peacetime maybe less. use this website: http://www.pipian.com/stuffforchat/gdpcalc.php?nation= This will show you what your economy is like and what your budget is like.

I don't think I young nation like his should worry about what type of small arms he uses.

Moranthia, after using the GDP calc you provided, I think either i'm slightly richer than I thought, or that thing thinks i'm better than I am.
National Budget: $22,015,976,400,000
I mean....whoa. I know it's yearly, but even so....

im new
hello new, im friday, come over saturday and we'll have a sunday!
Sorry, could't help myself. Yeah what they said. Read the stickies at the top.
Also A few things that confused me when I first joined.
1st... when people type BUMP... this just means they are "bumping" or updating the thread so it will be placed at the top of the forum list.
2nd... when people type TAG... this basically just means they are interested in the thread and wanted to post in it so they can go back and view it later without having to search for it. Because when you post in a thread it will save it for you to go back and view.
Yeah those were the two main things that confused me at first.
And also whenever you RP, dont do anything impossible or control what happens to any of someones elses nations and/or people.
That's called GODMODDING... big nono.
That's my 2 cents.

Oh, one other thing. This is an odd rule that I found works wonders in large scale RP. It wont apply to you for now, but it helps later on.
When doing a large scale RP, and you can't work out your force size, do the following:
Work out what sounds like a fairly large chunk of your forces.
Half it.
There, simple as that. No matter what forces you want to deploy, just half them, and it all works.
(Yes, I actually use this rule. And hell, it works for me)
