The election for Prime Minister of Binexx Island has come around and it is down to 2 candidates. Whoever wins will be sworn into office November 1st.

Issues:
Environment- Opposed mining for Uranium in one of Binexx’s oldest surviving forests, Signed Bill to ban logging in a 100 Acre strip of land in the nations 2nd largest forest, Administration created 2 new Wildlife Sanctuaries, Signed bill strengthening mandatory Clean Air regulations for corporations, Wants corporations to be made responsible for cleaning up any pollution they cause.
Gun Control: Believes in Right to Bear Arms but favors background checks on gun purchases and stronger Gun Control legislation.
Abortion: Pro-Choice, Opposed Bill which died in Parliament to ban Late Term abortions, Signed Bill to lift ban on Abortions for minors under the age of 18
Drugs: Wants all Medicinal Drugs to be Legal, Signed Bill making Medical Marijuana legal, Wants drugs for non-Medicinal purposes decriminalized, Vetoed Bill to legalize Cocaine. Signed Bill to Ban Smoking in Public Areas.
Economy: Economy has gotten stronger in the past year after a 2-year decline in Economy and lost of 500, 000 jobs. Favored Bill which did not pass in Parliament to remove Government taxes on Deports.
Immigration: Wants to make it cost-free to Immigrate to Binexx Island to make it easier for lower-class people to immigrate to Binexx Island.
Animal Rights- Opposes Banning of Meat Eating, Favors laws requiring Humane treatment of Animals before they are slaughtered, Opposed Bill which did not pass through Parliament to ban Animal Captivity.
International Affairs- Wants to gain relationships with as many nations as possible.
Medical Care/Health- Signed Bill to Guarantee Health Insurance to All Citizens, but cut Dept. of Health & Human Services funding by 25% during 2nd year
Death Penalty: Opposes. Recommended Constitutional Amendment to ban it.
Censorship: Believes there should be no Government Censorship and that all Censorship should be done on an Individual & Private level.
Science & Research: Cut funding for the nations Air & Space research by 50% last year.
