In recent weeks the rouge nation of Uppitistan has experienced a rash of violence concerning the recently passed bill that legalized public nudity. "Threadback" hate groups have escalated to full on terrorism within the country and can no longer be ignored. Many of the more conservative voices would blame foreign influence softening the liberal government and in turn enacting the bill, which "is the cause of all the mess". The prime minister and his staff however are requesting foreign aid in anti-terrorism experts, resources, or even UN peace keepers, despite not being a UN nation. If foreign aid is garnered perhaps the booming uranium industry of the nation can be used to pay back those that give the aid? The Prime Minister has made it clear he will accept aid from those aligned with or against the UN, whoever that would help the prosperous but chaotic country.

The Aequatian carrier RNS Glorious along with the frigate RNS WitchBlade are on exercise and in close proximity to your nation, the vessels along with their attachment of Marines can provide assistance if required.

I, Commander Saik of Tyoga, am willing to dispatch up to 5,000 light infantry troops armed with AK-47's and RPG-7's immediately, as well as the necessary ammunition, rations, and support personel. The catch is that my nation has no means of transporting large groups of forces except on foot. If you can provide tranportation, I can assure you all the infantry/peacekeeper assistance you may need in the long term. As a small nation, my comrades and I understand your situation quite well.

Under direction of the Prime Minister and his closest advisors, the Foreign Minister has decided to take the offer of the Aequatians, based on their close proximity and elite troops. If negotiations fall out the next choice is Roycelandia, as in this situation a small number of elite allies to help root out the terrorists is preferable to turning our nation into a hotzone with full scale military adventures. Our gratitude is also sent to Binexx Island, as we graciously decline their generous offer.

The Kingdom of Binexx wishes you best luck with resolving this issue.

The Glorious and Witchblade have been ordered to change course and are now en route to Uppitistan waters. Aequatian operations within the area will begin once we are given the confirmation from the Uppitistan government.

The Roycelandian Government is ready to despatch the Imperial Guard whenever you are ready to receive them. Until then, we shall monitor the situation accordingly.

In a suprise move the foreign minister gives confirmation to the Aequatians at the same time as sending this covert message (ie only them and me know about it IC) to Roycelandia: "The Uppitistan government is ready to receive a diplomat and whatever protection you send with him to participate in a friendly parlay concerning semi-exclusive rights, or better if the offer is good enough, to our nation's uranium exports. If you wish to negotiate please be as covert as neccesary to not make you're presence known to the Aequation allies we will also soon be receiving within our nation"

As an unbiased third party simply watching the outcome of this internal dispute, is it really necessary to send so much military to mediate this dispute? I mean, after all... these people are naked.

The nudists are the terrorist threat of another country. In this nation it is the anti-nudists who are commiting crimes of terrorism.

Seems we need to increase literacy programs in the Guudland, yes...

A simmilar message as the one sent to Roycelandia is also sent to the Aequation government, neither country's message revealing that the other country was also given a simmilar invitation, only a offer for diplomats to come to the capital and discuss bussiness relations concerning Uppitistan's main industry, Uranium.

The carrier and its escort frigate had entered Uppitistan waters and now sat 50 kilometres from the coast of the capital city, Marines on board the Glorious prepared for mobilization as CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopters were brought up on deck and fueled for flight. The first priority was to establish a forward post inland as a rally point and relay station to the ships offshore.

After having seen in person the appearance of several naked Uppitistan citizen, it is my sad duty to inform you that, both for the sake of the High Commander's personal sanity and for the preservation of the visual appeal and social benefit of our entire world, Kir Neth has elected to lend materiel and financial support to those seeking to preserve the beauty of your nation. We are henceforth providing weapons, food, medical supplies, and substantial sums of money to these so-called "Threadbacks".

This is an outrage! Kir Neth's involvement will turn this from minor terrorism and slight civil unrest to a threat to the entire nation, and then maybe even into civil war!

As of this moment, under direction of the Prime Minister, his reactionary brothers, and all his advisors, the Rouge Nation of Uppitistan and it's rightful government, which supports non-mandatory nudism, is dropping all facades of covertness. We are now openly requesting the previously mentioned military aid of both Aequatio and Roycelandia, and prepared, nay, eager to sell our Uranium to either or both countries. In our internal struggle Marines and Imperial Gaurd will be greatly welcome, and to prevent future aid of terrorists by foreign nations, having allies with nuclear weapons made with our uranium would be a godsend.

100 Marines had came ashore onboard the helicopters and were quick to setup a forward command post at a warehouse in the harbour sector of the city, Sea Knight helicopters brought in equipment such as heavy mortars and general purpose vehicles for the troops to use. A second attachment of another 100 Marines prepared to be deployed from the carrier to the command post. Captain Wynne sent a communication to Uppitistani command requesting any intelligence that they had collected on the terrorist group, its known movements and recent actions.

The first of three C-130J Hercules Transport Aircraft have touched down in Uppistan's Capital City (I didn't catch it's name, sorry) bearing the first 50 Imperial Guardsmen and Officers to their assingment in the country.

The CO, Captain James Hollister, presented himself to the Uppistanian representatives, threw then a Salute, and announced that 3rd Expeditionary Unit, Roycelandian Imperial Guard, had arrived and were reporting for assignment.

Later that day, A DC-4 in Imperial Airways colours touched down at the same airport, bearing the new Ambassador to Uppistan, the Hon. Lady Elizabeth Shannon, and her bodyguards. Lady Shannon was conveyed to the Embassy in a Jaguar motorcar, before making arrangements to meet with Uppistan's Leader regarding the assitance Roycelandia could provide, and what sort of agreements could be reached.

OOC: Yes, I know 150 isn't a lot, but realistically, that's all the three Hercules can carry and still have room for their equipment. Once the first 150 soldiers realise the chaos the country will doubtless descend into, then reinforcements will be called for and sent via ship. You might even get some tanks and aircraft too, depending on how it goes.

In case you're wondering, the Imperial Guard wear red combat jackets, white helmets, blue trousers, and have brown leather equipment harnesses. In short, they look like British Soldiers from movies like "Zulu" and "The Four Feathers", with the difference that they have walkie-talkies, body armour, and a semi-auto version of the Mk III Lee-Enfield as their primary weapon. They're also extremely well trained, as anyone who tries to engage them in battle will find out...

Tyoga's offer to supply expendable infantry force is still on the table, should the potential involvement of outside anti-nudist involvement prove too much for you to contain. We will be ready to fight against anyone at a moments notice, as long as transportation is provided for the large infantry task force. What we lack in quality weapons and advanced technology, we make up for in our number of soldiers and a lack of value on human life. As a country where we recognize the rights of people to run stark naked in the streets, we hope your government will be the first to take advantage of our troops. Our offer will remain as long as this internal conflict continues.

The Aequation and Roycelandia troops are both sent a breif on the known locations and estimated numbers and resources of the Threadback Terrorists. There has also been a rough draft of a concord on exclusive rights to the purchase of Uppitistan Uranium in exchange for status as allies in case of war, sent to be perused to Lady Elizabeth Shannon before the real thing can be written up.

Tyoga is also given word that our nation would greatly appreciate if at least for the time being they would have whatever nearby forces aware of the situation in case we need to call on your generous offer for assistance.

By my order, we have confiscated older jets and planes from our international airline Tioga Air Transit, and begun loading them with men and supplies. 2,500 men, enough ammunition for several days of pitched fighting, and the basic material to set up camp. Their rations will only hold out for a week at most, so we will fly as much in as we can. Unfortunately we cannot use these planes for too long, else the airlines wil attempt to take them back by force. They will land wherever you are prepared for them.

The Imperial Guard wish to clarify the Order of Battle for this assignment, before they start booting doors in at 3am and opening fire on anyone who doesn't immediately surrender.

So, some questions:

1. Do you want the terrorists dead or alive?

2. What sort of weapons can we expect to face? Are they well armed, or will we be facing a bunch of hippies with slightly militaristic tendencies?

3. Are there any Civil Rights issues that need to be addressed- ie, can we simply shoot anyone who even looks at us strangely, or must suspected terrorists be given a chance to surrender etc first?

4. How many terrorists do you think there are?

5. Are you OK with the use of tear gas etc in residential areas?

To address those concerns in order:

1. Alive if possible, but we won't weep if they are dead.

2. They have conventional weapons and use them effectively, but just like our police (we have no standing army) not much military grade, such as rocket launchers and landmines. You're main concerns should be snipers and ambushes.

3. We are a progressive nation...capture surendering troops and allow our police to take them into custody. However no one will cry over a few dead fleeing threadbacks if it's for the public safety as a whole.

4. Their number is small (estimated at 1.5 thousand) but they are in small diseperate cells with no relation except common cause. They are a hard to find foe.

5. Anti-riot tactics such as that are fine.

Very well... a small squad of the Imperial Guard have been deployed to an address near the Docks where a group of the Terrorists is beleived to be hiding.

The NCO orders the door breached with a shotgun blast, before a rifle grenade (flashbang) is fired into the building.

In the aftermath, the Imperial guard enter the building with a view to capturing or eliminating any terrorists...

Having eleminated crime with a series of policy changes (barcoding of citizens and our excellent police force) finding the terrorists exact locations should be no problem at all. We are sending a new, very specific and accurate, breif and one of the devices that track barcodes to you.
