Zephyr Industries (GSX: ZI) announced today the start of the general production run of the "Deuce" 2 kilowatt wind turbine. With a guaranteed power output of 2,036 kw under a sustained wind of 20 km/h, the Deuce delivers affordabe, clean energy for the fraction of the costs of convential power generation.

Utilizing the patented flexiglass technology, ZI's wind turbines can endure sustained winds of up to 135km/h and continue to generate power, or in lockdown mode can endure winds up to 200 km/h with limited damage. When used in combination in areas of high sustained winds, several turbines can work to replace the generating power of costly oil, coal, or nuclear generating plants.

When you consider the escalation problems with polluion, and the dwindling reserves in fossil fuels, investment in wind power generation is the power of the future. ZI's Deuce generator is reasonably prices at $1.4 million per tower, with a typical turbine farm of 15-20 towers per area. When faced with alternatives, the choice is simple.
