The Tokarev Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lieutenant-General Kiyotake Kawaguchi, Minister of Defense, Field Marshal Prince Morimasa Nashimoto, and Chief of Staff of the Navy, Fleet Admiral Isoruku Yamamoto, have released a joint statement today.

"We have just about completed the defensive systems of our homeland. In order to efficiently test them, we need ships, but currently we are a few years ahead of needing to scrap or mothball any of our ships.

To get to the point: If your Navy has any old ships that they want scrapped, mothballed, or otherwise disposed of, or if you recently captured enemy ships that you have no need for, we will purchase them from you for testing our defenses. Thank you."

OOC: This is the thread that details our defenses if you are interested: http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=6747027#post6747027

Kamered recently liberated 49 aircraft carriers in a string of recent wars. Due to the fact that they will be dead in another 5 years, we would be willing to sell them.

We would like to buy all 49 Aircraft Carriers. Is 80 billion a reasonable price?

OOC: Xanthal is a future nation, so these ships incorporate a lot of advanced technology. If you're just planning to blow them up though, it shouldn't matter.

IC: We recently decommissioned several hundred of the following ship types from our military. Most of them have since been scrapped or placed in museums, but we still have 32 Kirov and 40 Lira intact. You are welcome to purchase any number of those at the prices listed below.

Mospea: We spent 2000 trillion building the defenses, we want to make sure they work.

Xanthral: I will buy all of them.

OOC: Before I proceed in selling you my ships, explain how your less-than-one-month-old nation managed to come up with two quadrillion dollars (if they are dollars) for construction of a defense system. According to a GDP calculator (http://www.pipian.com/stuffforchat/gdpcalc.php?nation=turkmeny), your GDP is $287,500,000,000. That means it would take you about 6,957 years (at your current GDP) to save that much if you spent money on nothing else (which is impossible).

OOC: First you explain to me how you missed the fact that 'Turkmeny' is not my real nation, since I have been referring to 'Tokarev' the entire time. Hmm?

On top of that I have four seperate Storefronts (three have been closed for a matter of months, but I still recieved funds for them) and have various other means of revenue, including the recent selling of my largest oil company to DontPissUsOff and CommunistRule.

Okay, so mabye one hundred years of saving. Is this a colonial or mirror nation? Why does Turkmeny speak for Tokarev? Sorry for all the questions, I'm not trying to get on your case. I'm just trying to make sure this is all realistic.

OOC: Tokarev is one of the nations that can't seem to log onto the jolt forums due to some inane technical error. The admins are working on it, so I use Turkmeny as a front.

My usual defense budget is 4,922,934,856,519.68, but for the purposes of this project it was increased to 25,845,407,996,728.32 due to massive temporary budget cuts in Welfare, Social Equality, Environment, and Commerce, plus my government waste comes out to be 27,554,760,377,464.32. The end cost was approximately 2 quadrillion (a little less, but the math is cleaner rounding up), so ordinarily it would have taken me about seventy years to save up (no calculator, doing this long hand).

My end profit from my storefronts over the five months or so they were active was 1,802 trillion (including from Nisseki Oil and Osaka International Port, which I can provide links for if you like). That brings me down to about seven and a half years of saving, which is perfectly reasonable.

Well, it isn't flawless, but it sounds reasonable. All right. The ships are yours. That'll be $3,600,000,000.
