"It has been many years now since the great war with East Coast Federation, in which the Nationalist (Nazi) regime was overthrown by the military and a republic was decleared in its place. The rebuilding of the country, overseen by ECF, has had slow goings so far. For the new democratic goverment was weak and corrupted, with officals buying bribes from various group with thier own agenda to pull. It now seems that peace might finally come to the nation as the Christian Party has taken power in the goverment and has made it's intentions clear: to do away with the corruption and restore Tagio to her days of glory from before the Nationalists came to power"


From the National Records of History, Tagistead



Prime Minister Rudolph Drakaar of the Christian Party sat down in his chair heavily, all of the work to be done to make Tagio a safe place again was begining to tell him, making look older then his 30-odd years of age. He picked a paper document on the desk in front of him about the recent problems the TDF (Tagi Defense Force) was having up north with secessionists, and another one about a plan by the police to shut down the rackets in Tagistead and elsewhere is Tagio. Father, please give me the strength to your will he prayed to himself as he looked the papers. A ding sounded at his door "come" he said tiredly. "Mr. Prime Minister I am sorry to disturb you but General Adolphus has requested to see you" said his secretary, Helga Strumson. "Show him in Helga, show him in" a few moments later a tall well built man in his 50s walked into the office and saluted, bent arm style to the Prime Minister "Greetings Herr Prime Minister, I suppose you already know why I am here" he said. "I do and the ansewr is no as it was last time you suggested Wilhelm. My mind up, I will not grant the monarchy any power at all, it will ruin every thing we worked for." "But Prime Minister.." began General Adolphus "NO!!" shouted the Prime Minister "I told you the first time and I will tell again. Giving any sort of power to the monarchy at all will very well tempt the brat on the throne to use it to do away with the Republic". General Adolphus sighed before speaking "Herr Prime Minister I am not suggesting that we give that much authority to the crown but I am suggesting that you give at least some power to the Royal Throne to give yourself some breathing space and some one to take care of state when you take a vaction" General Adolphus smiled softly at next words "which you do need Herr Prime Minister" Prime Minister Drakaar slumped into his chair and spoke coldly "No General and that is my final word on the matter, now leave" General Adolphus nodded and left the room You shall regret this you pompus Democrat he thought to him self as left the Presidental Palace.



At the Palace of Kings


In the throne room of the Kings of Tagio, were no one had sat on the throne in hundreds of years sat man of barely 25 years named Erich von Troken-Helstuffen, better known as King Erich XIII of Tagio. Young Erich a distant and vague claim to the throne, but that had been engtouth for those demanding a King sit on the throne after the fall of the Nationalist reigime. At present Erich was alone in throne waiting as it was for some one. when will the general get here he wondered impatiently tapping his fingers on the arm rests. Finally the door opened and General Adolphus strode in, then he bowed before the throne and spoke "Your Royal Highness the Prime Minister refuses to share power, shall we proceed with the plan?" he asked. "SUCH IMPUDENCE!!" shouted King Erich "very well General proceed with the plan, you are sure that the Democratic Guard will side with us though?" "They will side with is Majesty do not worry" assured the General. " Good, because your status as my grand uncle will not protect you"



5 days later


Row after row of troops in white armor and red capes with the national symbol of Tagio in the back marched down the street of Tagistead towards the Goverment Palace. These men were the elite Democratic Guard, formerily known as the NSG. No one asked questions as this was a common sight since the Guardsmen got thier distinctive white armor five years back, but they had special purpose in mind for this march. Finally the Guardsmen halted in front of the Government Palace and began taking up taking up posititions and putting up barricades while four battalions entered the building. Now people began getting scared as they looked at the working Guardsmen.

In side the Palace

The four battlions went through the building keeping thier formation intact as they marched in the direction of the Prime Minister's office. In his office Prime Minister Drakaar had no idea what was happening outside his office and was suprised when five Guardsmen entered the office. "Prime Minister Drakaar you are under arrest for crimes against the State of Tagio, will come quietly?" said the Guard officer. "Wha.... What is the meaning of this?!" yelled Drakaar "I done nothing but good for Tagio in my time in office, and who is making these accusations?!" The officer glared at Drakaar "I will ask again Prime Minister, will come quietly?" "No!" yelled Drakaar "not until I..." suddenly he was cut off as the officer pulled out a Tagar rifle and shot the Prime Minister in the head.





Attention all nations of the world who recieve this transmission. The democratic adminstration ruling the country until recently was a corrupt and vile. Seeing the distress of the country King Erich XIII has had no choice but to abolish the republic for the good of the people and install a new government headed by himself. The King now asks for the nations of the world to reconizge his goverment and to give hime support. Thank you listening to this messge

It was a very very bloody war.
We were forced to engage in total war to remove the Nazi like goverment.
They were killing refugees for no reason.
They were even killing refugee's in internatiol waters.
We saw fit to annilate there ablity to fight. Which is what we did.

The goal was to have a fair and open minded goverment installed.
You don't have much of an Army unless your new king decides to make the population fight.

our government has cut back on all military spending yes, meaning that we cannot provide militarial aid if it should come to this state. however we are training more precise attack units that we can send in in few numbers to take out single units :sniper: kapow. we are sorry to hear of the sufferings of your past war, and will supply anything we can to help.

Well the good thing is that they have no navy as I have not allowed them to have one yet.

King Erich threw down the paper in his hand and yelled "UNCLE WILHELM!!" General Adophus who was currently listening to the Commander of the Royal Guard heard the yell and ran into the throne room. "What is it Majesty?" he said calmly "The ECF has made it public they will not let this stand. What are going to do?" The General took the paper and looked it over "Hmm" he said "Well it seems that only two nations have made thier opinion public" he said smoothingly "Thier is still a chance that some of the other nations out there could come to our defense. Remember we are a monarchy, not a Nazi regime, we ought to have some friends out there" this seemed to calm down Erich who was nervously biting his nails. "Y...Y...Y...You are right General, we still have hope" he said after few moments. The General nodded and left the room wondering I wonder if the boy's mother would make a better ruler..... hmm

We wil join with ECF in our opposition of this loss of democracy. However we will not commit forces just yet as it is against our Peace Constitution, which forbids us from attacking a nation because of loss of democracy. However if they oppress their people or attack other nations, we will declare war.

Alot of monarchy nations will end up on there side.
I don't know if we can take them all.

I think if you don't meet our demands you will meet a larger and more advanced army than last time!

We ask that the nations of the world help us in destorying the monarchy goverment.
To many people have lost there lifes to allow an oppressed and morally torn people freedom from goverments such as this one.

I am General Wilhelm Scarnhorst Adolphus and I came before you with a grave message. Tagio has peacefully and I stress peacefully overthrown the corrupt democratic government in favor of monarchy, in order to bring order in a time of chaos.The nation of ECF has threatned us and made it clear it will go to war to restore the old democracy. Nations of the world I beg of you on behalf of Tagio to intervene, to stop this blanant act against our sovergein rights as a nation.

ECF's claims about civil rights are false. They says we do not treat women as equals, we have no problems with men and women being equal. ECF says we do not want people to vote, but all of our goverment positions are elected. They say we do not have free speech, we do have free speech, the people are free to speak as they like, as long as it is not harmful to the stability of the country. We are NOT a dictatorship, we are a monarchy, nothing more.

Its quite simple that an old form of goverment that DOES NOT WORK.
No one person should have ultimete power.

Leadership of the ECF,



I must disagree with your statement that monarchies do not work. Ours has done what the old republic failed to do, bring order amongst chaos. With results like that how can you possibly say that monarchal (SP?) system does not work. The old republic has failed to help the people, it has failed to slove the northern succession crises, it has failed to stop the corruption that it itself created. The Monarchy has fixed all of these problems, we have helped the people, we have sloved the northern succession crises, we are doing away with the corruption. I beilieve the results speak for themselves honorable leaders of the ECF. The Monarchy has not failed.

The people are allowed to say whatever they want, but if they say things that will cause the stability of country to crumble, then something must be done or face anarchy as a result. Now I ask you are really willing to risk anarchy, which is the greatest threat to all nations, in the name of "free speech"? The old republic allowed such things to be said and look at the results: The northern territories tried to succed from Tagio!! and they nearly did it too if it were not for the Monarchy's intervention. I believe that the results speak for themselves

Esteemed Leadership of the ECF



I believe in a nonviolent solution to our disagreement so I have decided to propose to the King that we should hold plebsicite on the matter of the monarchy. If a majority say they wish for the monarchy to stay then you should back off for the people have voted on the matter. If not then an election shall held between the King and his sister,Princess Mary. For our constitution states that only those with a tie to the old monarchy may sit on the throne, and the von Troken-Helestuffun family is the only one elibgle. Will such things aplease you?

This will not please us, as either way there will not be any real democracy. However we will not use force unless the people are oppressed and are disallowed free speach. We will allow the monarchy to be one of many politicical parties. However should they be elected they must hold elections every 5 years.

This is our proposed settlement. We will not enforce this unless the first two terms are broken.

It's quite simple!
Hold elections every 4 years.
After the war we survayed your cititzens and asked what kind of goverment they wanted.
They all wanted a democratic government. We gave them one. You scwewed it up by putting in courrpot(SP?) people in office! And when the 1st election came along you used bribes to get into power.
You messed it up.
We will install a new democratic government or you will hold ections ever 4 years! ANd install a Congress so that the king cannot always do as he pleases.

Jonothana has come up with two soulutions

1) Constitutional Monarchy : You will still have a monarchy but there must be an election every 5 years to determine who rules the country. This will be independant of the Monarchy.

2) Democratic Monarchy : You will be elected as a political party. Other families may choose to stand for elections. A separate election will be for the House of Representatives which represent all Consituencies. However, you and your Family make all the decisions. Constiuencies can call for another election, should they not like the current one. 25% must be agreed for an election.

These terms, would oviously be subject to negotiations.

2 will not work.
It has to be 1 and thats all we will settle for.

To the Nations



The ECF has accused the monarchy of creatating the corruptness of the old republic, that we are responsable for the bribes. Well these accusations are wrong, until the coup which landed power into the King's lap the Royal throne was powerless, a mere figurehead to applease the voices crying out for a monarchy. The throne held no power, the corruptedness of the old republic was brought about by people who wished to exploit the masses and take power, perhaps even bring back the days of the Nationalists. Except for myself and my family no one supported the crown. The leader of Democratic Guard turned on the Prime Minister because of his own greed, it is even revelead that planned to overthrow the monarchy to install a military dictatorship ,the man is dead for that. And also the ECF has told us to from a congress so the king will not have abolsute authority, well we already have a National Congress that is elected every four years that passes laws and regulates the country, both King and congress rule Tagio and over rule each other. We are not a dictatorship, we do not supress the people, we have a Congress in place. The results speak for themselves nations of the world, please come to our aid

After all it is no great secret that brother is a, how do you say it... a dimwit... no disrespect intended" Princess Mary chuckled at the comment and grew serious again "I do not wish to kill Brother or Uncle over this but if they will not listen to reason I will have no choice but to do it, to preserve the peace" The Princess shook her head and left the room to prepare.


The Royal Throne Room, The Next Day


General Adolphus and King Erich were looking discussing possible courses of action when a herald walked into the room. "Your Majesty, General, the Princess Mary has requested an auidience with you" "Well let her in, let her in!!" shouted the King. The herald nodded and left the room, after a few moments the Princess walked in and bowed. "Brother" she said "my handmaidens tell me that you are thinking of going to war with the ECF, surely there is another way" King Erich looked down at his sister then spoke "Yes I am fully prepared to go to war over this matter Mary, It will be a most righteuos war for we are defending our right to rule without hindenrence. After all this is OUR land dear sister, only we may rule" Mary seemed thoughtful for a few moments then spoke "But brother if as the rulers of this land we are it's stewards then why would risk ruining it and the stabilty of the country by going to war?" Erich seemed hit by this question and sat back down in his throne "per...per...per... perhaps you are right Mary, maybe we shouldn't risk it after all." General Adolphus glared at his niece and quickly tried to rescuse his plan "Your Highness what are you saying, if you bow to enemy demands you will lose your right to rule and will be forced to ceade your throne to whomever the masses elect." The King nodded and said "Your right Uncle Wilhelm what was I thinking" now he turned to Mary "Mary, what were you thinking suggesting I gave up my throne! Are you mad!, are you working for the enemy! What is going on with you!" The General smiled softly and wispered into the King's ear "Perhaps Mary plans on gaining the throne for herself through manipulation of the masses" Erich gasped at this and yelled "MARY HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME, GUARDS!!!" but no guards came "GUARDS!!!" came the yell again. Mary looked sadly up at Erich "Brother I have made sure that the guards do not interfere, now I am so sorry I have to do this to you both, so please Brother, Uncle forgive me" with this Mary surpressed down a sob and lifted a revolver out of her dress, she turned and shot a red faced Uncle Wilhem then turned it towards Erich. Who chuckled nervosuly and stammered "Yo.... yo.... your no... no... not serious are you sis? you wouldn't kill me would you? Your own flesh and blood?" Mary did not respond and walked up the steps till she was at eye level with Erich, who screamed and threw himself at Mary's feet "Please don't hurt me Mary!!!" he screamed "please, please, please" Mary took one look at Erich and droped the revovler then kneeled "No I won't hurt Erich, please forgive me for even pulling out the revovler" "I... I.... I forgive you" said Erich and the two rose. "Erich you must accept the enemy's demands, for the good of the country you must do this" Erich looked at Mary and nodded "You are sure about this Mary, for once this descion is made there is no turning back" "I am" she said with finality. "Very well I shall transmit a signal saying we accept there demands, for you and you only Mary" Mary took Erich's hands in her own "No, do it for Tagio"
