As a public service, for those not aware of events transpiring, we release documents detailing the Allanean government devaluing its currency, and proving itself to be an unreliable and unstable trade partner, and finding itself boycotted by a large number of nations from trade, business transactions, and all monetary exchange.

To those thinking of, or currently doing business with Allanea - a heads up, and a friendly reminder of 'buyer beware'.

Actually... doesn't just seem to be 'buyer beware.' If any corporation sells the United States of Allanea anything, it's quite possible that it won't get paid for the goods rendered.

Of course - our bad. We got somewhat ahead of ourselves with that statement, thinking that if this nation is so woefully inept with purchasing things, they must be equally inept in selling them.

To those of you planning on or currently doing business with Allanea - a heads up. We thought it best nations were made aware of these dealings. Considering the fact that those funds had already been redistributed throughout the rather vast economic network, I would wager a good chance some of that money has already turned up in your own banks and business accounts.

In plain terms, what this means is that Allanea did not just cheat 01MC, it has cheated every nation in which those funds have filtered down - hence the rather overwhelming response.

We leave it to you gentlemen and ladies to decide whether or not such irresponsible behaviour is something you wish to continue to deal with.

Public statement by the Ministry of Economic Affairs
“We can only echoe the statements made by those governments before us. The blatant disrespect for contract law and property rights that the Allanean government has displayed is truly astounding. This behaviour is truly unacceptable for any government that wishes to be taken seriously. Credit ratings and money devaluations are not toys to be played with.

This is why we feel the Allanean economic climate has become too unstable to warrant Knootian economic involvement, as low as it already was due to their non-signatory status to the KIST treaty and past economic and political behaviour. The ministry of Economic Affairs, the Knootian Central Bank (KCB) therefore make a joint statement disrecommending Allanea as an investment location and we strongly discourage anyone from dealing with their government directly. The status of the validity of the Allanean Dollar itself is still under consideration by the government and the KCB.

We feel that such a breach of contract is unacceptable, and thus we have taken action against it and organised a coalition of states – from all the political blocks – who jointly feel that the behaviour towards Zero-One cannot go unpunished. This state of affairs must be reverted. This is why we and our partners in this affair are initiating a full economic boycott."

The reason this got posted here is his storefront bits and to reach those he deals with on this forum - all quite appropriate. I know plenty who operate across forums, after all. Jeebus.

ooc: Whatever floats your boat. *shrugs* I've never been 'NS only' myself, just 'mainly'. Hell, we started our NDA charter thread over here, as well as several others. The fact that most people I rp with happen to mostly post there well ... I guess that explains it, neh? Nevermind the war bits I've been involved with here, and other little things. Anyways.
