All civilians of ViZion are being ordered to go underground into the underground bunkers after they gather the government-supplied weapons at the weapon outposts in their town.

ViZion has declared a state of emergency, as the congress has just given the go-ahead of total war with Jarridia. ViZion’s military, which were previously being mobilized (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=347840), are now preparing to stage a mass invasion into Jarridia.

ViZion’s entire nuclear arsenal is being activated, all subs, including nuclear ones, are being launched into the Mediterranean Sea. (ViZion is located in Southern Italy)

“We are prepared to do anything and everything to eliminate this threat to our people. We will not allow Jarridia to come in here like they plan to and take us over. We are armed, and will fight to like the bullet, and the last person. We are prepared to use any and all weaponry to ensure the survival of ViZion. Jarrod had just recieved word of the betrayal by ViZion and was being briefed about his speech to the nation. The television screen goes black, then the Jarridian Presidential Seal appears then the camera shows the president.

"Good evening. Tonight is indeed a dreadful night. Our alliance with ViZion has been canceled in the most utter violence. Their declaration of war against us will not go unnoticed. All of the Jarridian Military has been activated, and at this time I am asking all Task Forces to please escort the populous to our undergraund facilities.

Jarridia, do not fear the ViZionarians. They shall not win against us. Our land it mighty, and our allies are many. ViZion will taste our steel and shall retreat, post haste. I have already ordered a full scale bombing of ViZion from our base within its borders. The entire military is urged to stand on guard and be ready for the slightest attack.

At this time I am activating the SJDI (Smithso/Jarridian Defense Initiative. I call upon Utcheer and Smithsilian to stand by me in my time of need and defend not only Jarridia, but the Westwood Alliance in itself.

ViZion! You shall rue the day you crossed us and destroyed the ties between us. May god have mercy on your souls."

The screen goes dark. In the streets of Jarridia it is utter mayhem as people hurry to their assigned bunkers. The full scope of the military is reason to DA 5. 15 B-2 escorted by 30 F-15, 30 F-16 quickly make their way over ViZion and drop their loads on ViZion City. Main Targets are communications and the capitol.

Our forces will hold out the fort, and the military in Spain has been deployed to ViZion immediately. Jarridia will not fall.

OOC: Our mobilization is the same that is in the link previously posted by ViZion. Its been building for this moment I guess.

We must express our concern with the deterioration of relations between both nations. We are very close to each of these nations, and will not choose a side, but we do wish to stop this conflict before any lives are lost. We insist upon hosting a peace conference with both of you.

Breaking news out of the Med; in an apparently unprovoked act of aggression, ViZion has declared total war on their ally Jarrida.

According to ViZion broadcasts, such a war may very well include nuclear attack.

The Cabinet has been quick to respond to the situation, reaffirming the Declarations Of Neutrality, however reactions from many prominent M.P.'s are critical.


"We have yet to hear of any justification for this random act of aggression...
If this is an indicator of ViZion's new direction in the world, then I think that we would to well to sever all relations."


As many of our viewers will remember, several years (?) ago, ViZion was involved in a bloody civil war, during which the Empire accepted many refugees, and extended humanitarian aid to that nation.


"I do so hope they are not expecting the Macisikani Red Cross to help their civilians this time, or for us to take in any refugees.
If they are, then they are sadly mistaken."


The Archduke has labelled ViZion's Reputation as "irreparably damaged", and leading clergy have labelled the move as "morally bankrupt".

Centauri Colony has been confimed as..."

"Sir, incoming hostile aircraft!" reports Sgt. Hecks to General Alfonso.
"You know what to you, Sgt." remarks the General.

Over 75 fighters scramble to repell the enemy aircraft, as anti-air missiles are preparing to launch at any hostile aircrafts that get by.

Three SSN submarines have been deployed to Spain's coast, as another 200 F-22's and 200 F/A-18's head off to attack the forces coming from Jarridia's Spain base.

The Jarridia base within ViZion is currently being assaulted, as multiple bombers continue to pound the base, M1-A2's attacking the walls.

20 Aircraft carriers, 40 destroyers, and 40 battleships have been deployed to the coast of Jarridia.

6 Carriers, 30 Battleships, 40 Destroyers, 40 Cruisers, 50 Submarines, 30 AEGIS Cruisers have been mobilized in an effort to keep ViZion out of the Gulf and away from Jarridia.

Casualties in the base in ViZion have been high, and we have lost many units, but reinforcements are not far away. Although our first air raid was ended, we are confident that the next will succeed. 25 Cruise Missile Batteries (10 each) have been launched at surrounding forces and ViZion City.

ViZion may think this is easy, but we will show them what its like to invade the nation of Jarridia.

As the Jarridian missiles come in, our own anti-missile system shot down nearly 175 of them, while the others struck their locations. We have lost over 100 people. ViZion will not accept this.

Over 500 missiles have been launched from ships heading towards Jarridia. They are all targetting major military intellegence locations. 25 nuclear (SSN) submarines have been launched towards Jarridia. Two Blackhawk's (spy planes) have been launched to keep track of Jarridian military movement. Three ViZionarian satellites have moved into positions over Jarridia.

The Jarridian Missile Defense was able to knock out around 375 of the missiles. However the others were successful. Forces have been moved to the Jarridian coastline preparing for a possible invasion. No ViZionarian shall set foot on Jarridian sovereign soil.

50 Cruise Missile Batteries (10 ea.) have been launched at the on coming ViZion Navy. Aimes mainly at the carriers, but the Battleships were secondary.

Shelbin has yet to be affected by war, but damage has been reported in Kiakor and Seaton.

Noticing incoming missiles, all carriers are going on emergency launches, their planes heading towards Jarridian coastal lines.

Anti-air missiles have been launched at the incoming missiles. Though over 300 were destroyed, nearly 200 struck some of our carriers. The non-nuclear submarines have begun to launch their torpedo's at naval bases, while their missiles have been launched at the coast line.

Another 100 destroyers, 100 battle ships, 50 carriers, and 50 submarines have been launched, including 20 of the submarines being SSN's.

ViZion is also sending out 20 B-52's, being escorted by 50 F-22's, 100 Ninja Fighters, and 50 F/A-18's.

Another wave of missiles, these being intercontinental ones, have been launched from locations in ViZion. 500 in all have been launched.

Several ViZIon citizens were detained while trying to flee Jarridia. The government has issued a quick arrest of all ViZIonarians in Jarridian Borders. They are to be "questioned".

The arrested citizens are taken to a large warehouse. If they are unable to prove they have passports (most likely already burned) the must answer to a slow drip of Hydrochloric Acid, then they are dipped in large vats of hot wax. Any ViZionarian caught will be brought to "justice".

-Your current government must step down

-Your nation must pay for all damages done to ViZion
-Your people will help to choose a new government

The Jarridian navy is but a little ways from ViZion's. ViZion has ordered 600 of it's Ninja Fighters (fighters made by ViZion), 500 F-22's, 500 F/A-18's, 300 F-16's, and 100 F-15's to attack the offending airforce, while ViZion's submarines have launched torpedo's at the enemy submarines.

85% of ViZion's ships have been sunk, nearly all of their crew killed.

President Branam stands in front of the Jarridian Capitol building, not far from downtown. In his left hand he holds the ViZIonarian Flag which once flew freely in the courtyard of the Westwood Alliance Governmental Center, signifying that ViZion was a member. Jarro lifts his right hand and lights the flag on fire. He puts it on top of a marble slab so that the television cameras can show Jarridians in their underground bunkers. They cheer as the President displays this act. Also, this is is shown in ViZion since they have a subscription to the Jarridian owned Fox network

"ViZion, your allegiance with the WWA is hereby terminated"

The flag burns to ashes which float away in the breeze.

President Maybury laughs at Jarrod's burning of the flag. "Didn't he know that their government paid us to put our flag up? Why didn't they just ask for a refund and give it back?" he says to some of his cabnet members.

"Ahh well, their loss." he says.

600 intercontinental missiles have been fired at intel locations and Jarridia's military headquarters. At the same time, another 400 have been launched at their coast line. 40 B-52's have taken off, escorted by 100 Ninja Fighters and 100 F-16's, have taken off and are headed for military installations, while another six transport planes in this group are headed to a small, evacuated town in Jarridia, to drop off 95 paratroopers.

The Shalrirorchian Republic, although undergoing some serious internal restructuring to make way for the political incorporation of the Arkady Islands, has nevertheless managed to work up the political capital to intervene in the current situation.

Today, in the capital of Shalcoria, President Tarumigan Gistarai announced that an investigation of Vizion's accusations has begun.

"We take charges of terrorist support very seriously." Gistarai said at a news conference. "Shalrirorchia is dedicated to hunting down terrorists in every form, regardless of where they hide. We call on the Jarridian government to cease offensive operations and give a thorough accounting to refute these charges. We also call on the government of Vizion to cease offensive operations."

"In addition, the nearby Shalrirorchian islands of Batik and Ranit are being reinforced. Refugee camps are being established there for civilians of both sides, guarded by Shalrirorchian peacekeepers. A twenty-mile exclusion zone has been declared around these islands, and it is being enforced by Shalrirorchian naval, army, and air assets. Any unit belonging to either military found operating in the exclusion will be declared in material breach of Shalrirorchian national territories and be interred. The peacekeepers are authorized to use deadly force to protect the camps as well as their own lives."

In response to President Maybury's snide remarks, President Branam has ordered that the ViZIon detainees be dipped into bowling vats of sulfuric acid. We will not stop until ViZIon declares an end to this insidious war.

Batik and Ranit are the two largest islands owned by Shalrirorchia in this area. With the exclusion zone added in, they partially obstruct direct air and waterway flight/sail plans between the spheres of Jarridia and Vizion.

The refugee camps are military-controlled facilities, with running water and power courtesy of the Army Engineers. They have light perimeter defenses, but all are close to the two major military bases on the islands...Shansara Harbor on Ranit, and Brand-Nellis Air Force Base on Batik, where the Shalrirorchian headquarters is located. Both islands are equipped with an advanced radar-defense system to monitor the local naval/air situation. Batik is a link in Shalrirorchia's UDS (Underwater Detection System), a chain of monitoring systems that resembles the SOSUS line constructed by the United States of America.

In response to this horrifying atrocity, Shalrirorchia has implemented immediate economic sanctions against Jarridia. Shalcoria DEMANDS that Jarridia abide by the Geneva Convention.

Sirons go off throughout the command center. "Alert. Nuclear missile launched. Target: ViZion City. Sirons go off throughout the command center. "Alert. Nuclear missile launched. Target: ViZion City." the computer continually announced.

"Shit. SHIT. Those f*cking Jarridians. Take it down, TAKE IT DOWN I SAY!" demands the general.

As the nuclear missile reached 1,000 miles off the coastline of ViZion, three anti-missile missiles struck it, immediately detonating it at over 40,000 feet in the air.

"Nuclear missile destroyed. Nuclear missile destroyed." The computer repeated over and over as the sirons went off.

"God damn them. They will pay for that - severely."

OOC: TAG and holy crap VZ!

"Damn them! They owe us several million for that nuke!" says Jarrod as he slams his fist on the desk.

"ViZion won't have a chance if they invade us sir. We have all our defenses up, plus the SJDI is in full effect" replies Keithan.

"Excellent! ViZion will pay for betraying us. Years of loyal alliance and this is how they treat us? Because they think we support terrorism? Bah! I always knew their leaders were idiots." says Jarrod, "Throw everything we've got at them"

A total of 100 Cruise Missile Batteries (10 ea.) have been launched from Jarridia to the ViZion Naval Forces. Our Navy has taken a beating, but is still holding strong in the Gulf. We are proud to announce that we still have control of our base in ViZion, though it has been severely damaged. So far we have lost a total of 15,000 men, 15 F-14, 10 F-15, 1 B-2, 2 Battleships, and 3 Cruisers. We continue to add more and more pressure by mobilizing more of our Navy. Our forces from Spain have finally arrived in ViZion and the marines are making their assault against the coast, the going is tough, but we have managed to capture a beach head.

President Maybury, upon hearing of the actions taken by Jarridia, has authorized the usage of nuclear weapons upon Jarridia. The military now has the ability to use our nuclear arsenal like any conventional missile.

ViZion wishes to warn Jarridia that any further hostility towards a small nation who has not otherwise attacked you, will be the next Hiroshima.

For now, ViZion has launched a massive aerial assault, with over 150 B-52 bombers, 1,000 intercontinental missiles, 500 F-16's, 500 F/A-18's, 500 F-22's, and 1,000 Ninja Fighters. They will be splitting their attention between Jarridia's naval forces and military installations.

ViZion is also sending another 300 battleships, 250 destroyers, 30 SSN's, and 200 submarines, along with another 70 aircraft carriers. They will be escorted by a constant supply of 200 F-22's and 300 F-15's.

Wright picked up the telephone again.
"Any response from ViZion or Jarridia?" he asked.
"Yes, Mr. Prime Minister," came the voice on the other end. "ViZion recognies our support."
"And Jarridia?"
"No response yet, sir."

President Anthony Wittrock rested his arms together across his chest as he looked around the polished cedar-wood table that laid centre of the situation room, he looked around the table. They were hear to discuss two things: the recent act of terror on home soil and the start of a war between the Pure Democracy of Jarridia and ViZion.

Throughout the entire Wittrock-Bieker Administration of the United States of Canada, the first situation that they came to with both nations was a dictator whom took control of Jarridia - Sikes. President Wittrock hated the man with a passion. Wittrock was among the only one who wished for the bastard to be executed but the rest of the West Wood Alliance prefered to place him on a show trial.

The armoured conflict to remove Dictator Sikes from power brought the United States of Canada and ViZion to work and cooperate together. Wittrock's Administration distasted them, since their Head of State, President Villone fired down every idea that they came up with, such as occupying the Jarridian nation for a few months and install a transtitional democracy.

However, President Wittrock learned of his plan. To give the ViZion screw over to ViZion. Quickly the Director Canadan National Intelligence Agency bursted into the room with a dossier with an enraged facial expression, "Mister President... an accusation by the ViZion government has been made against our ally... they have accused them in dealing with Terrorist Organizations..."

The Director passed him the dossier as he stood to the President's side and he continued, "Sir... they were the ones that attacked the Harbour this morning... its probably their persuasion techniques to bring us against our strongest and closest ally, The Pure Democracy of Jarridia!"

The Director's wife, children and grand-children were dual citizens of Jarridia and the United States of Canada, he worried greatly for them since they were right now meeting together.

"I'll see what I can do, Director White. However on the meantime, I want all access to Intelligence Reports within the last two weeks on ViZion and any other activities of their allied nations. Don't worry... your family will be safe. I'll get a hold of President Branam... see if he can do anything."

"Yes and thank you, Mister President. I owe you one!"

"Get me those intelligence reports before you owe me a favour. Mister White."

"Yes sir!"

As the Director of the Canadan National Intelligence Agency quickly left the Situation Room. The President looked over to General Mathias, the Secretary of National Defense, "Get us General MacKay on the phone at our Fort in Jarridia."

General Mathias nodded as he looked to the screen as he saw a glowing line flash towards ViZion and being destroyed, "What the hell was that?"

President Wittrock looked to the screen, three men looked back to the two, "General.... Jarridia fired a nuclear weapon..."

"Frick... a nuclear exchange."

"GET ME THE FRIGGIN GENERAL ON THE PHONE NOW!"

Mathias nodded his head as he picked up the phone and dialed the emergency number for Fort Brownsville, a military base in Jarridia, "General McKay... this is General Mathias, the Secretary of National Defense. We want to you reinforce and cooperate with the Jarridian National Guard... and the President wishes to speak with you."

The President took the phone from Mathias, "General McKay. We want you to send your men out to destroy ANY ViZion war equipment present in the state of Jarridia.... we are going to war."

"Aye, Mister President. Consider it done."

"Good. Bye."

The President shut the phone and looked to Glen Rendall the Secretary of State, "Mister Rendall, recall our ambassadors from ViZion if we have any."

I doubt my attack would kill 4-5 million even with fallout...unless they were living on top of one another

Ganto Janbar, Mining Foreman Third Class, had seen no flash. He had, however, heard an enormous explosion just before a wave of air pressure threw him to the ground.
"The hell was that?" he thought as he picked himself up. He walked to a ridge, the same ridge where he had enjoyed watching the sun set over Jameston hundreds of times. He gaped.
The city lay in smoldering ruins. The once-gleaming, barely used building of Jameston Air Terminal was a pile of rubble.
"My god," he said to no-one in particular. "Who . . ." He gritted his teeth. He had always considered himself a man of action. He ran to the jeep he had earned by virute of being a mining foreman. It was a good 120 miles, downhill all the way, to the center of Jameston. The questions were: what had happened, and was anyone still alive?

[OOC: Thanks for the advice. Having no first-hand experience with nuclear attacks, it's tough to RP it well. Moving on, and amending the earlier post somewhat.]

Ganto sruveyed the damage. From up close, he could see that the devestation was not nearly as complete as he had first thought. But it was devestation nonetheless.
Jameston Air Terminal was indeed gone; it was at the outer edge of a circular expanse of rubble. The epicenter seemed to be the Jameston financial district, but the damage went all the way out to - he squinted his eyes, estimated -
Government Row. Dammit. If the P.M. was gone, not much hope remained for his deputy. Ganto Janbar dashed off a prayer that the leaders of his government were still alive. If not, he only hoped the police could restore order.

One hour and a half after last post

"Well, Mrs. Bell, I am sorry to hear of your nations distaste for our actions. But, we stand by our actions, as we know they were fully justified. And this war has been a further testimony of why Jarridia must be taken out. His actions are not without consequences, and their government being destroyed is the consequence." Mr. Maybury said.

"I hope your nation will soon realize what Jarridia has done wrong."

Kathy looked at President Maybury. She hasn't been called a Mrs for a long period of time since she was divorced three years ago because her husband rejected her serving for the Foreign Service.

"As far as I know, Mister Maybury. Your nation is responsible for the most recent terror attack on Canadan Home soil!" She exclaimed and turned around and made an exit for the doors of the ViZion Parliament where a military transport helicopter waited for her.

Well, President Maybury thinks to himself, excuse me for looking like Mr. Bad Guy here. What in the world is with so many people these days? Can't they think for them selves? Sheezz, give me proof we had committed such actions.

"Joe, get me on the phone with Canada's President Wittrock. I need a word with him."

President Maybury, as acting President of the Westwood Alliance, I would like to make one attempt to offer you the chance to cease and desist your war with Jarridia. I hope that you two would be willing to be sensible enough to come to the peace table, and talk.

However, should you decline this offer, know that the military forces of the Alliance have been requested to mobilized in the defense of Jarridia. We do not wish for war, but we will defend our fellow Alliance members if need be.

As President of ViZion, Mr. Maybury has posted an ultimatum in which Jarridia has declined, which included that of their people choosing a government they wish to be under. He declined.

I will give Jarridia another chance, though.

Their military is to cease hostile actions towards ViZion, their current leadership brought to justice in front of ViZion's supreme court on the claims made by ViZion's intellegence, the nation of Jarridia must pay for damages done to ViZion, and the families of which Jarridia has openly admitted to torturing, people who were traveling to Jarridia for vacation and business, and, the people of Jarridia choose a government they wish to be under.

If those demands are not met, this war shall not cease. This war will be brought, not to the door steps of Jarridia's government, but thru it. Jarridia's government must be brought to justice for the following:
Aiding terrorism, containment and torturing of ViZionarians who were on vacation, a nuclear attack against a nation who never even joined this war.

If you intervene in this war to keep justice from being served, this war will be knocking at your door very soon.

Jarrod was sitting silently looking out the windows, as he did every morning. He gazed at the empty streets of the vast city. A great sadness grew in him about the loss of an ally, and the gaining of a great enemy. He knew that Jarridia would never be the same after this, and that the people and nation would certainly lose respect. Kim Shaffer, Secretary of State, walked in holding a document and laid it before Jarrod.

"Sir. President Maybury of ViZion has offered us more terms. They seem ridiculous, but it may be the only way to ensure a preserved future." she said with a sigh.

Jarrod turned to hear, taking the paper in his hands. After looking over the document, he replied, "No. We shall never surreneder to ViZion. They will have to kill every Jarridian in order to finish our fighting. We are a proud people, Kim. No nation will ever force itself upon us and bring us to surrender. Send our swift 'NO' reply back."

"Immediately sir!," said Kim as she turned around.

"Oh, and Kim." said Jarrod looking up.

"Yes?" she said looking back at him.

"Have the military surround and capture the ViZionarian Embassy, no one goes in, and no one comes out." He said with a smile.

"Of course," Kim said as she walked out of the room.

Jarrod turned back to the window. He thought to himself. How did this happen? We were once great allies, and now we fight. ViZion must learn that he can't bully us around. He cannot drag our good name through the mud. Other nations will not believe that we are terrorists, for we have fought it for so long. ViZion? What have you done?!?!

Throughout Jarridia

The streets lay silent except for the occassional passing military vehicle or men. All Jarridians had been ushered to the underground bunkers for protection.

Pictures came in from the eastern shore. Kiakor and Seaton were heavily damaged under missile and air craft fire. The city of Corvica was still standing strong, being that it was behind the barrier islands. Port Iridian had yet to be attacked, but Jarrod knew that if that city fell, so would the shipping industry in the east.

Many valiant men and women had been lost so far in this war, and the Jarridian military, though strong, was simply not a match for the much larger ViZionarian. Despite this fact, Jarridia continued to fight with high morale.

Jarridians were fiercly patriotic. They loved their homeland and would do anything to protect it, including their lives. Forever shall they remember the the betrayal and unjustice brought against them. ViZion bashed their wonderful leaders name, but they knew it was all lies. Jarrod had never done them wrong, if any nation needed a change it was those damn 'ViZy's'.

This war is seemingly endless. Both nations will fight until the death. Jarridia shall hold out until the bitter, bitter end.

Chellis fully agrees here, and doesn't wish for war. However, Vizion brought it upon himself to crusade against Jarridia for what may or may not be true. We feel Jarridias acts were rash with nuclear weapons, but the attack never would have happened in the first place if Vizion had not declared war on Jarridia. We stand with Jarridia because its sovereignty is being challanged so harshly, when it has not done anything, and is accused of selling weapons to others to do things which have not even occured.

OOC: I just want to make it clear that West Scotland has a sort of...complete inability to engage in combat against the nation of Matich.

Again, we have no reason to believe yet that this war is justified (besides his nation's page a few days ago, which has no connection with his roleplaying status) and believe that ViZion has acted too rashly, too quickly.

Allthough Haughtainias small we have decided to dispach a small force of elete special forces (aprox 1500 men plus equipment and transport).They are to be used to help with more tactical issues rather than smashing a wallnut with a hammer as we cant afford the huge losses that come with large assoults or pich battles. After a while of service in jarredia I think you'll agree that our elete forces are the best in the world. Im sure you will find them most usefull in our war against Jarredian tirrany.

He climbed below deck to the bridge where everyone was busy making final ajustments to the ship befor departure. Sailors and pilots were running to their designated areas and the slight whirring noise of the huge Neptune rocket engines could be heard throughout the ship. A frazzled looking captain ran over to the Admiral.

"Hello admiral. The fleet is making final preparations to depart."

"Good. How many ships do have?"

"190 ships sir. We'll be ready to depart in 5 minutes."

The Admiral continued across the bridge to his command station. He sat down in his swivel chair and tapped the naval broadcast button on his touch LCD display. A VIDCOMM link was established and the Admiral began to address the fleet.

"This is Admiral Turner. All ships prepare to leave port merral on my command."

May we please bring everyone's attention to the usage of the repeated usage of the phrase "We don't know..."

Exactly. You don't know the details of who Jarridia supported or the manner in which that support came. Suppose hypothetical Country A sells uranium to hypothetical Country B on the reason that Country B wished to extend its nuclear energy program, but Country B subsequently reveals that it has developed nuclear weapon capability and planned to unleash them in terrorist attacks around the globe. One person might regard Country A as "supporting terrorism", while another might just feel that Country A was horribly duped by Country B. Thus, it is all a matter of opinion. This is why unilateralism is frowned upon.

Not only are the world's nations looking at ViZion in an increasingly more negative light due to its stubborn attitude, without widespread international support, your fight against Jarridia will be only so much tougher.

Plus, do you know whether or not Jarridia still supports terrorism? For all you know, the governmental stance on terrorism may have changed. Do you have any evidence of Jarridia's continued support for terrorist activities?

President Maybury, from one commander of the military to another, I can tell you that this was a very ill-conceived war. What do you hope to gain from this? Long-lasting infamy? I am outraged by these accusations that I support terrorism. For years the nation of Jarridia has fought against it. From Egypstan, to Daylam, to Terror of the World, I have stood by many of you and fought valiantly by your side. Now, you turn against me just because ViZion has some inkling that he can't prove? I would never give support to terrorists, because of my own moral dignity. All of you opposed of me should be ashamed of yourselves. Jarridia has never caused anyone harm with torture or nuclear weapons (nor have I threatened its use) until ViZion decided to attack me.

We have Decided to send in 42,000 infantry renforcements to back up our speciel forces operating in the defence of vizon. These are to be used cortusly as our nation is small and we cannot afford the loss of tens of thousands of men. We are also sending in 3 of our elete armourd divisions. General Gates killed the VIDCOMM link and got out of his chair. He stood for a second.....awestruck. He had just be ordered by the president himself to unload Markov's entire nuclear arsenal unto the nation of Jarridia. Gates walked into the command room. He took a seat at the main control terminal and went through a series of sercurity scans. He slammed the key into the socket and murmered the words "may god have mercy on your souls". He then turned the key. Hundreds of lights came on the panel. This is it he thought. Then without even a flinch he slammed on the button labeled "LAUNCH".

Instantly, 5,500 Apocalypse III 60 megaton nuclear missiles streamed into the sky toward one target: Jarridia.

Reporters crowded the steps of the Secretariat, trying to get to the Secretary of State for Trade.

There was a horrified gasp. Cameras flashed.
"His Imperial Majesty's Government has closed the shift lanes leading to that plane permanently. That world is now, at least, entering a nuclear winter. Unfortunately for EMTC and RSSC, this means that the lucrative ViZioner markets are no longer accessible, not that those markets exist anymore.
"Now, while this is a horrible event, we can take small comfort in this; Macisikan is located on a different NS world, and so we will suffer no ill-effects, and no Macisikani citizen was on that world at the time. The downside is the deaths of billions of people."
"Sir Silvanas?"
"Yes?"
"Alicia Smith, Radio Free Macisikan. Sir, what happens now?"
The Secretary of State looked old for a moment.
"Now... now we pray for the souls of the dead, and remember what has happened, so that it may never happen again."
Sir Silvanas paused, took his glasses of, and ran his hand over his face.
"And afterwards? We continue with our lives."

At dawn the next day, the bells of the churches tolled out the mournful salute to the fallen, in recognition of the millions of dead. Prayers for the souls of the dead were murmured by the priests, flags dropped to half mast, and a minute's silence was observed at midday.

And then life went on.

OOC: GAH! The "nuclear global death" thing is little more than a myth. Radiation from those weapons isnt nearly as strong as with tactical nukes and as long as irradiated shrapnel stays out of the victim's bodies they should be ok. Massive underground bunkers exist as remnants from decades ago which could possibley be used to take shelter in from the blast, decontamination is possible and the expensive technology exists, there might be some buildup of resistance, temperature drops from the dust will have relatively neglible effects on the short term, and not all areas of the earth will be irradiated. Seeing as this is taking place in Italy and Texas much of Asia, Africa, North America, and Ocenia shouldnt feel too much of an effect from the radiological elements anyway, same goes for the global cooling. After all, all the nukes so far have (thankfully) only been launched at Jarradia and ViZion. The effects will be severe but certainly not all consuming and certainly not harsh enough to end all life on earth.

OOC: Blah! It could not possibley do so even if every sqaure foot was hit by explosive force. Some life will persist, including a few complicated lifeforms (Squid comes to mind.) Again, radiation will not be a major contributor to extinctions, although immediate temperature conditions might. "Nuclear Winter" with current arsenals will not present conditions deadly to humans. "Planet Busters" are simply science fiction, you cant physically destroy a planet with any realistic technology we know of, gravity is just too strong, you might be able to temporarily crack it or break it apart with circa 2060-2080 tech but it will reassemble, many lifeforms (especially simple ones) still intact. Shalrirorchia, i have consulted planetary geologists and physicists about this at my college too. No earthly weapon can end all life on earth at the current time, and probably none will be created that can do so until well past the 21st century.

As for rebuilding, sounds like a good idea. It would have to be done immediately though.

CAC invites all meteorologists, biologists, toxicologists, and for that matter any interested parties in the sciences to attend this meeting in the secure environment of the superstructures. Winds will soon begin to move about irradiated dust and its important that we prepare urgent measures to prevent ailments of respiration. We also wish to discuss how we will deal with potential consequences to water supplies and also provision of humanitarian aid and evacuation to any possible survivors of Jarradia, ViZion, and nearby areas who would have felt dangerous effects. We should also be prepared to deal with electrical storms and anamolies in the ionosphere. We also believe this to be an exciting time for research on the exact damage such weapons can inflict and investigative teams from many nations should be dispatched to the detonation site after it cools down (with proper protection of course.)

On a final note CAC will hold a much larger confrence on how to secure important food supplies to last us long enough decontaminate enough farmland. CAC offers a solution in the form of meal replacement rations which can be created technologically using soyabeans in existing CAC greenhouses supplied by biological waste products and artificial soil enhancements. lol, I do believe this is the first time Jarridia has been involved in one of these set-up wars. Many nations don't like Jarridia, as well as me, because of how we run things. Well, ViZion's changed, but will probably be reverting back to how things were run foreign-policy-wise, soon.

That is, going in when someone commits genocide, go and stop imperialist nations from forcefully taking over other nations, and fighting terrorism and nations who harbor them.

Enraged, Lord Eldric summoned together the WS Council for an advisory emergency session. The Elders spoke, and a consensus was quickly reached. These fools that had elaborately faked a war, that had caused WS taxpayers to suffer from the effects of immediate, high priority mass mobilization, that had caused so much tension among the armed forces...all for nothing? No. They would pay.

In the Council's War Room, Lord Eldric barked orders to bring the ViZion map into view. He barked orders for an aide to bring him the Bearer of Destruction, a high-security briefcase which granted access into the nation's nuclear stores. The stores, normally turned down, were now active, thanks to the tensions in the war resulting from the threat of nuclear annihilation by ViZion and Jarridia.

Lord Eldric verified the codes, and placed his hands on the fingerprint scanner of the verification apparatus. A circular bulb on the dashboard blinked to life, glowing bright green.

Order the strikes, he hissed, motioning at the nation of ViZion. Immediately, highest security transmissions were sent to the nuclear silos around the nation, and across the barren fields of West Scotland, thousands of missiles, some only a few megatons; some numbering a hundred or more, rose from the ground and propelled themselves through the air, at ViZion. Soon...soon, the nation of ViZion would be smitten to nothingness.

Jarridia, said the leader menacingly, and gave the go-ahead for the massive mobilized military to commence the invasion. In orbit, kinetic weapons platforms sprang to life and began to systematically pound every nuclear installation and other defense/attack mechanisms in both countries at a rate never yet seen before. Within seconds the massive orbital Tungsten rods satellite network had targeted and launched repeatedly all of both nations.
