I think you may have neglected the single most important thing about NationStates, the thing new nations have the most trouble with, and the thing that makes it one of the very most awesome things online.

It's all make-believe. It's a story. It's words, and maybe pictures, with no game framework. Anything you want (within reason). If you want to attack someone with a trillion space dreadnoughts, go ahead as long as they're cool with it. But, if you want it realistic (which is best) then you have to make an effort.

yea, i regret making that the title...Is there a way to change it? With the new Jolt Forum, we can change it, but it won't actually change it when you're looking at all the threads in II. It'll remain the same.

Might I reccomend Central Facehuggeria for Roleplay? And most of the members of the Restored ESUS are good roleplayers too. All the roleplay tests I've seen have been 84+. I myself got a 90, and Crystal Palais received a 99.5, and CF himself said that Palais was one of the best Roleplayers he'd worked with in a long time. Very large nation too. A few hundred million more than I am, and I'm a pretty big nation myself.

You should use the Earth N+1 principle, where there are an infinite number of Earths.

If someone tends to write a short attack (sirens of titan talked to me about it on MSN, but hey you're all knowing and that makes it a bad RP)

Everything you need is covered in the threads already stickied, there's nothing to add. And the RL nation threads are so fagged up and unfair to many nations they should have been deleted months ago.

Wrong. This is simply not true. AMF's war on small nations is BANG YOU ARE DEAD. That thread is a shame to his reputation and shouldn't even be mentioned as bad RP.

1. I must say, Melkor Unchained is quite the detailed roleplayer. He’s quite busy though, as a mod, so here are some other nations to ask.
Example: All Is Fair In Love and War
2. Five Civilized Nations is also very friendly, and a very good roleplayer.
Example: The Tragedy of Truth
3. Pantera is an amazing RP’er, one of the best that Nation States has ever had. If you can, just look at some of his RP’s, to see how detailed he is in everything, with his ally, Automagfreek. They can definitely teach you that detail is important.
Example #1: As The Flames Purify, by AMF
Example #2: Put Away The Dagger, by Pantera

Or a thread from someone who tries to make a good story (HINT HINT) but people don't care because the persons stories aren't top-notch, not written by someone who registered after June 2003 or his name isnt of a 'superpower'.

1. Automagfreek has some pretty good knowledge of statistics, judging from his mobilizations, and previous wars.
2. Iuthia, the all-knowing. He is a very friendly nation, who helps as many people as he can by pointing out things that could be improved upon. Don’t take his posts as severe criticism, they’re quite constructive.
