This picture shows a cleaned up site of the detonation of the latest CAC ballistic payload.

Today jKLjhNB Jc KWNB tested its latest new warhead, a self replicating nanomesh, composed of various diffrent artificially powered catalysts, which can completely eradicate a varying surface area, efficiently metamorphizing heavy metals, human tissue, armor, metal oxides, sillicates, and even water, although it can rapidly lose its energy supply trying to consume overly tightly bonded material, and also has very low quantities of silicate destroying enzymes so as not to be overly deep penetrating. It is strictly a daytime weapon as it relies on ambient heat (some supplied by the missle warhead itself before it is consumed.) After the mass has consumed enough it can be destroyed by low temperatures (this will also stop the exapnsion of other bots,) or by incenerating them with very high temperatures (napalm can be dropped around and on top the mass.) CAC is working on a gel warhead designed to destroy these robots faster than they can replicate but so far has not come up with a good way to do so. CAC plans to arm 9 ICBMs with this new warhead.

The test took place on a terrorist base of the Pan Continental Federation, a breakaway from the somewhat less vicous Pan Contental Congress, following a leaflet drop which gave them instructions to evacuate the facility. CAC is offering the survivors residency in deep areas of Arcology nImIXB where they can live peacefully under our protection after their re-education is complete.

CAC will offer limited technological exchange to it's allies only, due to the nature of this weapon, it will not be sold to any country with inadequate security. CAC condemns use of this weapon and does not plan to implement it in non-expiditionary warfare. As it is not yet finalized, this technology will not be marketed or manufactured much at all yet, but CAC will in the future perhaps supply its allies once it learns how to mass produce these weapons.

On a final note, with proliferation of such weapons CAC feels its important that a cooperative coalation of nations capable of cleaning up the aftereffects of such a weapon

CAC now has begun production of these missles. At 35 billion or more per missle these will be produced once every ten years. CAC is unable to offer these as exports due to this. However, CAC has begun to investigate this technology with renewed ferver, especially noting the nature of this weapon makes it suitable for use againt choice target materials. CAC has begun work on a long range anti-aircraft missle that will use this technology to weaken wings of modern carbon-fiber composite aircraft, breaking down nanostructures into much softer material. After such a missle hits the aircraft will become extremely fragile, and very soft, vulnerable to being scratched by things as soft as copper. Estimated cost is 4 million per missle. Will be of great use against superior armor of modern stealth bombers. CAC is ready to accept proposals for assited research and production of the anti-aircraft Another nanomist weapon deployable by grenade is being devised which will perforate most known Hazmat suits, possibley even Demron. This will be a useful countermeasure against tactical nuclear weapons. This concept is still too much in infancy to allow cost predictions or technological exchange.

On a final note, excavations into the test site showed some traces of cannibalism of the other robots and the gel, meaning that the mass will likely change in behaviour after prolonged use. Further testing shall be done.

Sucess! Our anti-aircraft warhead was tested a mere 6 hours ago with exciting news from the project leaders. The advanced composite armor of a sample gripen, was reduced to a fine Aluminium Oxide power and large amounts of graphite, making it crumble in the face of air resistance. This unmanned gripen (our target drones use older 3rd generation metallic armor which would not have shown the same effects) began to show this drastic damage to its wing within 20 minutes of being hit by the laser guided missle.

Also, a report indicated that the 2 billion take originally associated with this missle was a major error! A very common light air defense system already in existance was able to deliver this payload, which was very much immune to cannabalism, and very limited in what it can consume. Decontamination of it will be more difficult than the nanomelange used in the nanite devestator weapon system but since its so limited in what it can affect it will not be necessary to insure the same easy destruction, which further reduces costs and allows a conventional high explosive to deliver the nanobots at proximity. Also, since it can be used without explosives and is heat resistant, laser-resistant modifications can be made! CAC has already begun testing anti-ship warheads of this type, but the anti-aircraft munition mentioned should be ready about 2012 or 2013, less than two years from now.

Estimated final retail cost is 15 million dollars each for sale as a surface-to-air munition, but CAC offers futures for 9 million a piece, if the nation wishes for technological, commercial, or military alliance, or has already established this.

CAC sees an exiciting future in this type of technology and hopes that it might be able to secure active camoflauge and active repair in 2050 or thereabout, and certainly before the 22nd century.

OOC: Sorry for that really weird and badly done photo edit, but at least the concept makes sense.
