OOC: This is Earth II.
IC: The Federation of Morathania is today begin a large joint forces training exercise in the Tierra Del Fuego. This exercise will involve members of the Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, and Federation Guard. This comes at a time right after the Federation of Morathania began a six-month program of expansion of military facilities in Megallanes province. The government is currently saying that this is to ensure the security of Cape Horne and the Straight of Magellan. Currently 3 entire fleets have been dispatched to the area along with 10 air wings and 4 corps. This is to be the largest military exercise in Morathania's history. Admiral Ricardo Lagos Salazar, formarly of the Chilean Navy, said, "This will increase the readiness of Morathania's Chilean forces and will help to keep the Straights safe and secure for shipping. This will also help to provide much needed protection in this 'uttermost part of the earth' especially because their are no Road or Rail links with the rest of Morathanian territory here in the Tierra Del Fuego. This will help our readiness in the area and help with harsh weather and arctic warfare." The exercises themselves have already begun and we currently do not have information from the government as to the end of these operations.
