Colerica

Hello, I'm Kathren Movan of the Colerica Imperial News network. In an expected move, our beloved Emperor, Maderic Thra, has repealed the portion of the Colerican Constitution which banishes religion on the grounds that it [religion] recognizes an authority higher than the Emperor. For the first time since the late Emperor RyDaac, the United Empire of Colerica is allowing its citizens to practice religion. However, the faith choice is limited to only the Imperial-run religion, known as Imperias. Imperias recognizes the Emperor as a god or god-like figure. The United Empire is not mandating that all citizens have to follow Imperias, but is stating that this is currently the only religion available for Colerican citizens to legally practice.
Many people believe that 'tight' government control in the United Empire is what led to the current Colerican Civil War. The Confederates have used the argument that the United Empire is too 'oppressive' of its people and is a, quote, "tyrannical, fascist, police-state,' unquote. We here at the CIN believe any Colerican citizen who dares utter such filth should be arrested and trialed for treason.
In other breaking news, the first major battle of the Colerican Civil War is currently raging in the bordertown of Mexall, Rygaul. The CIN regrets to say that we do not have imbedded reporters with the brave Imperial soldiers in the town, so we cannot yet comment on the battle.
