The Minister of Military Research approaches the microphone, in front of the Capitals ‘Gates of Freedom’.
“Ladies, Gentlemen and my esteemed colleagues,
The Republic of Salhvm is proud to announce the up-coming test flight of the Avro Arrow Mk3. In the wake of the collapse of the Kingdom of the Vecne Mesto and the fall the tyrant; the plans for the Mk3 were snatched from the fire and there existence saved! As a result we have built the first proto-type and intend to launch within the week. This is not an upgrade to the original Mk2 improved that was flow by the late ‘Kingdom’ but an entirely new aircraft. New Materials, New engine, New abilities!… BUT the same shape and strength. Nothing has been lost in this new design and everything has been gained. Not only can the Mk3 make a Mach acceleration turn as its predecessors but we theorize it will make it at Mach 2.25! (loud applause from the public audience) Ladies and Gentlemen, I am sorry that I can not give you any details until the test flights are conducted next week and the results are analyzed… Long Live the Republic!”
