UN is power-hungry organization!
Shenadoah

Recently, the People's Republic of Shenadoah and the nations of The 13 Colonies banded together in support of a proposal to the UN. It was called the "Sovereign Nations Act." The resolution would have limited the power of the UN, and give each member state more power to enforce it's own laws on it's people. Every nation should have the right to make it's own laws.
Upon hearing about this resolution, the UN ejected the People's Republic of Shenadoah from the UN, banned forever. This shows that the UN is scared, scared of it's memebers banding together against the UN. Isn't the UN supposed to be all about freedom? Well, if the member states want something, they should at least have the freedom to vote on it. If it gets voted down, then that's it, democracy worked. But if it passes, it limits the power of the UN to do what it wants, and the UN gets mad.
Please contact me, the People's Republic of Shenadoah is in The 13 Colonies region. To all UN members, I hope you all now view the UN as what it really is, a mother to all it's "children," the member states, who thinks that all the children are too young or immature to run themselves, so they must help us out. Please, let's show the UN what we are made of.

The Premier of the Commonwealth of Cadwallader sympathises with the sentiments of the esteemed representative from Shenadoah, in that national sovereignty is, and should be, respected by all international institutions and individual nations. However, it is the Commonwealth's view that Member States of the U.N. must either abide by the resolutions adopted by said body; or leave.
The rule of international law must be upheld in order to maintain a working global parliamentary system. Joining the United Nations is symbolic of a nation's commitment to the rule of law and establishment of global democracy. If a nation is adverse to either or both of these precepts, it does not have to join, and cannot be compelled to do so.

Sevaris sympathizes with Shenandoah on its UN problems. We are thinking of leaving the U.N.

We sympathize with Shenadoah. Celtayoshi believes that the UN goes to far, but alas, the UN has too much importance in Celtayoshi's current region for them to leave

Actually, if you had read the rules on submiting proposals that change game mechanisms...sigh...some things never go away.
2. Game Mechanics Proposal
We've been down this street previously. Thankfully, they're becoming slightly less prevalent at the moment. It is important to notice, however, that proposals to repeal other resolutions are Game Mechanics Changes. This is because you are effectively asking for the statistics of your nation to be re-set to what they were before the proposal was passed - given that statistics are a part of the Game Mechanics, that's what you want changed. Also, proposals about the UN not being allowed to infringe on "national sovereignty" are Game Mechanics things as well - clearly the UN can infringe on whatever it wants because the option to make such proposals exists.

ooc:
1. This is really the wrong forum.
2. You can't make proposals that alter the game mechanics. It says so in the UN FAQ I believe, and I believe it's a bannable offense.
3. If you volunteer to join the UN, then you are subject to their rules. If you think the UN is infringing upon your sovereignty, then do what I did, and resign from the UN.

OOC - This is Game Mechanics, which is why it can't be changed. I had tried to submit a similar one, but it was shot down because of the nature of the proposal. Your ejection could be for any number of reasons.
I suggest you check out the following threads. They will provide you with a better idea of what is expected.

Ejected From the UN? Here's Why (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=274575)
It is not the UN being afarid, it's because you violated certain game rules.
