Operation REMOVE_RUFAI finally commences

Del folio

To the leaders of Bhattman and all those concerned for the values of humanity:

The time is here; at last the chance to exile the respectless Rufai, who is severely tarnishing our once honourable region.

You must choose your path:

Rufai Vs Del Folio...

The fascist, hypocritical, sadistic dictator, Rufai the Power-Crazy, or the friendly, peace-loving and (most importantly) capitalist nation of Del Folio?

Let me help you make your decision…

Current political decisions in Rufai’s country: ‘Drunk drivers are sentenced to death, torture is commonly used to extract information from suspected criminals, people who are terrified of needles are torn between their phobia and free health care, and army rations are served on silver platters.’

What kind of a world does that sound like to you? Not quite the blissful paradise that the other citizens of Bhattman experience, I think you’ll agree.

As once quoted by the genius that is Simon King, “Hitler killed 10 million, Stalin perhaps 50 million, and Rufai – who knows? I dread to think.” This man is dangerous!

But, if you are not watching closely, you could find yourself becoming the next part of the scarily powerful black empire of Rufai’s world. He knows no limits of acceptability, he takes what he wants.

So beware. I urge you to join me, El Folio, to wage war against the evil Rufai, a war that is necessary in the justice and morality of the world. I promise you, united as one powerful force, we CAN end the evil of Rufai!

So take your pick – choose the way of future peace and tranquillity or allow yourself to be manipulated by the dark side.

I leave it to you. Do not fail.

The Holy Folian Emperor,
El Folio ~

The Holy Folian Emperor... Hm sounds like a religious extremist... Our Emperor doesnt like religious extremists. And he certainly doesnt like evil extremists who claim to be 'peaceloving' while they start wars on other innocent nations like those in D.A.D..
The Moderately Extreme Kingdom of Del folio; Civil rights: Few, Political freedoms: outlawed! Where is the peaceloving friendly nation you speak of?
We see no reason to pick your side.

I protest at my nation being singled out by the warmongering nation of Del Folio, a nation of peasants and weak minded fools. Where do your claims to being peaceful lie? More often than not you are following in the ways of my nation.

You will retract these mindless rants. Or you will bring the armies of Rufai and His allies to decimate your nation and cease your prattling.

The Imperial Fatherlands of Rufai

Father Knows Best State

Civil Rights: Some
Economy: Strong
Political Freedoms: Outlawed

Army rations are served on silver platters, the government is spending millions on renovating the public transportation system, it is mandatory to learn evolution in schools, and pharmacies close down as medicinal drugs are sold freely by the government.

OR

The Moderately Extreme Kingdom of Del folio

Iron Fist Consumerists

Civil Rights: Few
Economy: Very Strong
Political Freedoms: Outlawed

Military service is compulsory, citizens live in superstitious fear of the mysterious glowing clouds that float over Del folio, protests are prohibited from blocking traffic, and military spending recently hit a new high.

It's like choosing the better of two evils...

The Del Folians were glued to their television sets as the first bombs were dropped. Fighter jets, emblazened with the genius logo, zoomed over the dark hills of Rufai as they dropped their bombs in hundreds and thousands. The crowds cheered and waved flags in their millions - delighted that Rufai was finally being dealt with.

It had begun.

Lord Do'Calamar sat in his high backed chair in the palace. The palace was underground, like the rest of the city. This was to protect against attack.
"I want Commanders of Wraith Unit, Poseidon Unit, Raven Unit, and Spectre Unit in my office in an hour!"
"Yes Sir!" REgwald, Do'CAlamar's aide, scurried off and got on the phone.

In an hour 4 people stood in front of Lord Do'Calamar.
"I want you to begin briefing your troops on the country of Del Folio. I want to know where it is, if there is coastline, troop numbers, defenses, Everything! And I want it in my office yesterday!"
"Yes Sir!"
"Wraith Unit will send 300 to our border. From there they will split. 100 will get into Del Folio and disrupt trade and cause general havoc. The other 200 will go to Rufai to assist. I want 100 Wraiths pulled out of the rebel operation and sent to help Rufai."
"Yes Sir!"
"Poseidon will go in by sea, if possible. You are to await orders on how many until we know how much coastline. You will disrupt their navy."
"Yes Sir!"
"Raven will stay here. You will be our ready team."
"Yes Sir!"
"And Spectre will send 50 to get into the heart of Del Folio. Under cover. I want everyone who has even a smudge of power killed. Do you understand?"
"Yes Sir!"
"And get the station's satelites pointed at Del Folio."
"Yes Sir!"
"Dismissed."
The 4 filed out, already yelling into their cell phones.
"Get me General Zeragh."
"Yes sir, right away." Regwald again left and got on the phone.
When the general arrived there was a map of Del Folio on Do'Calamar's desk.
"You are to send 700,000 soldiers to Del Folio. Do whatever needs to be done. Just keep me in the loop. Send 800,000 to Rufai to assist in denfending. Begin evacuating Rufai to our below ground cities, with their permission. Understood?"
"Unterstood. Right away."
Zeragh left, and began making phone calls to other generals.

OOC: Del Folio: I need stuff like if you have coastline, etc. Anthing that would show up on satelite images of your country. Thanks.

Federal Republic statement:

Honoring Bonstock's commitment to the Right Wing Collective alliance, the Federal Republic shall deploy troops to thwart the invasion of Rufai. This war is blatent warmongering by Del Folio, and will be punished severly. We shall make sure to destroy them. An example will be made here, that no ally of the Federal Republic shall ever be made to kneel before an imperialist.

As of the current time, twelve Bonstocknian carrier battle groups, and ampibious forces of the I Marine Expeditionary Force, are en route to commence an attack on Del Folio. Del Folio has 72 hours (i.e. next response) to agree not to attack Rufai. If this is not adhered to, the Riksdag will allow the declaration of war on Del Folio.

25-08-2004, 17:56
We thank Bonstock for their support. Troops will be made welcome in Rufai if the attack goes ahead. Ships will be able to dock in Port Talyard if necessary.

Hundreds of thousands of troops throughout Rufai have been mobilised for warfare. Names of divisions and the like are not being told now. Suffice to say a large chunk of Imperial Troops and RdK Elite have been mobilised and moved to locations where they are being equipped and readied for an assault on Del Folio.

General Zeragh decided on a strategy. He would send 300,000 men from the west, 300,000 from the east, and 100,000 from the south. They would center in on the capital. For every 100 men there would be an Ybronneb tank. By the time they got to the capital, another 100,000 or so would have been readied and sent from the north to destroy or capture AA and SAM sites. Then nearly 200,000 more troops would be air lifted into Del Folio. The capital would be besieged and surrounded. The troops would simply shoot anything that left the city until Del Folio surrendered. Of course, the plan wouldn't work if that was all. Del Folio would still have his other cities. Which is why another 500,000 troops would come from the south. These troops would level any cities which had a significant military presence. Also, they would destroy or capture more AA or SAM sites. THen the area would be open for bombing by Rufai. Yes, it would seem that the fight would indeed be taken to Del Folio. More troops would be air dropped to reinforce the 500,000. Then they would continue, working towards the North. To Zeragh, the plan was brilliant, perfect, and invincible. He, of course, was wrong. Del Folio was stronger than that. A mere 1,200,000 troops wouldn't defeat him...no, he would most likely drive them back, away from the capital. That was why Lord Do'Calamar was sending in Wraith Unit.

The commander of Wraith Unit also had chosen his path. He would take 100 of his best men (and women; Ybronneb wasn't biased when it came to spec ops) from the North. They would stealthily enter the country and bipass all cities but one: The capital. Once at the capital they would find a way in....perhaps through the sewers, which surely had an opening in a lake or landfill somewhere. Then they would terrorize the civilians of Del Folio, using geurilla tactics, hit and run. 20 Wraiths would later break away and raid the military. 60 more would go and split into 6 teams of 10 to raid supply lines. The remaining 20 would continue slaughtering civilians. While this chaos occured, Spectre Unit would have operatives in place to assassinate generals, political leaders, etc. It wouldn't be easy. But it might work.

24 hours later 800,000 men of the Army of Ybronneb left for Rufai. After 3 days of driving, they reached Rufai. When they arrived they set up two large bases, 400,000 men each. The bases were set close to the border closest to Del Folio. Underground bunkers were dug to protect against bombing.

700,000 more troops left Ybronneb that day, as General Zeragh had planned. 300,000 got in position west of Del Folio, 300,000 east, and 100,000 south. It took nearly a weeks to get them all positioned.

The 100 Wraiths also left. They went to the North of Del Folio. They prepared to enter the country.

50 Spectre operatives posed as tourists and entered the country form sveral different points. They went towards the capital, claiming to be sight-seeing.

Another 100 Wraiths left for Rufai. They linked up with 100 more Wraiths who had been yanked from the operation to eradicate the rebels in Rufai. Then they moved to Rufai's capital.

Lord Edwin Do'CAlamar himself boarded a plane and flew to Rufai's capital. There he requested an audience with the Archduke.

Just 2 weeks after the declaration of war by Del Folio, Ybronnebian troops began entering the country.

Greetings from the fellow Bhattmanish region of Smeebobfred. While I am unwilling to commit Smeebobfred's troops to fight the dastardly forces of Del Folio, I am willing to suspend trade with the warmongering nation, which will hopefully speed up any attempts to besiege and starve out the citizens of Del Folio. As a peaceful and mostly trading nation, I am, however, willing to offer any military supplies to nations embroiled in the fight to neutralise the Folian threat. Anyone interested in buying missiles, aircraft, tanks or just basic rations and medical packs will receive a preferential rate provided they are used against the evil Holy Folian Emperor. Such warmongering and aggresiveness is not welcomed in the region of Bhattman, nor by the peoples of Smeebobfred. As a guide, here are some prices of military hardware and supplies:

1 Smeebobfredish Apocalypse Tank - 3,500,000 bobfreds,
10 of the above - 31,500,000 bobfreds (10% discount),
1 Smeebobfredish Spectre Fighter/Bomber - 4,750,000 bobfreds,
10 of the above - 42,750,000 bobfreds (10% discount),
100,000 Smeebobfredish 10-day ration packs - 1,000,000 bobfreds,
1,000 Smeebobfredish field medical kits - 10,000 bobfreds.

I have many other items in stock and any questions regarding the items for sale while be promptly answered. Plus, each order of tanks/planes comes with a field repair kit and a 3-year money back guarantee.

The nation of Smeebobfred is also willing to offer the services of its top spies, military advisors and reconnaisance aircraft, should they be necessary. Smeebobfred will also be accepting injured anti-Folian troops and will offer repairs to anti-Folian vehicles damaged in battle.

May the forces of the evil Holy Folian Emperor crumble and the warmongering of his nation be ended!

We wish to take advantage of your generous offer, and wish for a delegation of experienced Smeebobfredian Generals to be sent to Rufai for aid in directing the war effort and for knowledge of the area etc.

We also wish for spies to be sent behind the lines to find out what Del Folio is hiding...We know he is building something big...We are trying to find what but there is a lockdown on the entire project. We also need spies to start a anti-governmental campaign at home. Start partisan attacks. Your spies need not take place in the attacks but conduct them.

Your recon aircraft would also be appreciated for pre-emptive mapping of the terrain of Del Folio. We will be invading Del Folio and taking control, so any knowledge of his terrain that you and the Archduke has gained in the peace years will be of great help.

The UN describes the Moderately Extreme Kingdom of Del folio as a huge, safe nation, remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. It lies on the southern coast of Bhattman. It shares borders with three countries: the Imperial Fatherlands of Rufai, the PeterAndre Worshipping Nation of Ramyaraj and the once friendly Executive Cheesefish Land of Smeebobfred.

The Del Folian capital, Catalan Harbour, lies 20 miles from the coast and is situated on the great Umbuku river, which runs through 5 countries in total. It is the country’s largest city and is the seat of the Del Folian government. There are approximately 3 million residents living in the city, which is also the centre of tourist attraction. Most notable are the renowned Elven Cathedral (the historic 100 year old centre of the state-owned Del Folio church) and the Castle of Parliament.

Production of Del Folian arms occurs mainly in the northern city of Monél, a purpose-built city hidden in the Bhattmanian mountains. Factories are built into the hills to withstand all but the most powerful of strikes and the entrances are heavily guarded by hordes of soldiers and . Soldiers are required by law to carry the most sophisticated communication system ever developed to date, of which the Holy Folian Emperor has personally demanded no details are disclosed. SAMs surround the area and the legendary Del Folian AirFleet patrol the skies. Typical monthly output figures of an average factory from the pre-war preparation are:

50 caterpillar tanks
150 SAM vehicles
25 Howitzer batteries

or from the Del Folian Air force factories

25 Harrier GTS
25 MIGS
20 F22s
3 Stealth bombers
15 Black Hawk helicopters
15 Chinooks
5 Apache helicopters

25% of ammunition has been mobilized and deployed to the borders for invasion and the remainder stays to defend the honour of Del Folio. The Holy Folian Emperor commends the citizens of Del Folio for their willingness to support their country in whatever way they can.

Given the intrusion of Emperor Balor into this dispute, and his ulitmatum, the great nation Smeebobfred has entered the war. Crack forces of elite troops, which have been gathering information and tactical knowledge within Del Folio since the start of the campaign are to rise up, and begin a guerilla war. Border defences along the Del Folio/Smeebobfred border will be put on full alert, and the Laser defenses primed to strike down any intruding Folian forces. Missile silos have been put onto full alert and will retaliate with nuclear and conventional weapons should the evil Folian emperor launch an attack.

With ground forces numbering over 750,000 regular, battle-hardened troops and over 2,000,000 reservists, Smeebobfred will crush the pathetic combined threat of Emperors Balor and Folio.

At midnight, 1 week after the Del Folian declaration of war, 100 Wraiths entered Del Folio. They began hiking to their first target, a lake where a sewage pipe went through. They would cut a large hole in the pipe, and swim to a location beneath the capital. As they approached the lake, they readied their weapons.

(Here's what they're carrying,, weapon wise:

50 carry silenced sub-machine guns
10 carry large fully automatic machine guns
2 carry rocket launchers and silenced pistols
38 carry silenced pistols
All carry a tactical assault rifle. It is silenced, has a scope, nightvision, infra red vision, and a flash suppressor.

The lake was not guarded very well, as it had little significance for civilian or military reasons. The Wraiths stowed their equipment in the waterproof sacks and donned their wetsuits. Then they began wading out into the lake...

Once at the spot over the pipe, they checked their oxygen. 5 Wraiths went down to cut the pipe. When the hole was made, sewage billowed up into the lake. Then things went bad. Apparently the lake was important somehow, because a patrol boat was heading their way. Perhaps an alarm had gone off to warn of a sewage leak. The Wraiths dived, swimming through the sewage to get to the pipe. The communications team went down when the military personel on the boat opened fire. They died as soon as they entered the cloud of sewage. Many more Wraiths got lost in the sewage, but 80 Wraiths mad it. The rest died.

Inside the pipe, the Wraiths swam toward the capital. Once the pipe came out of the water, the Wraiths got into their land ops gear. It was 3 AM, and they had until 5 to get in position. They moved quickly through the sewage. Finally, at 4 AM, they reached the pipes underneath the city. They found a grate that led into a warehouse. They sent up 2 scouts, who reported that it looked abandoned. It was on the outskirts of the city. The Wraiths made it their base of operations. They began by putting a crate over the grate, to hopefully hide the exit from any who followed them.

Then they set up the rest. They laid cots down against one wall, behind a wall of empty crates. They stowed gear in crates. Then they set up a team of 10 to keep watch. The other 70 went to sleep. None of them had snoring problems.

Soon, Del Folio would pay for their declaration against Rufai....
Rufai
29-08-2004, 21:32
The plan was simple. 10 inflateable boats, with 9 troops onboard (including the driver) would depart from a destroyer close to Del Folio and proceed up the Umbuku river, moving upriver quickly, passing through Smeebobfred territory (with permission from the government) and then head upwards into Del Folio territory. Intelligence reports showed that military patrols were few and far between on the river approaching from the Smeebobfred side. The only real risk was of a land patrol spotting them on the river. The land either side of them was flat and barren, only growing into some plants further up the river, but the 90 troops would be departing before this...

THE OPERATION COMMENCES...

The boats were well inside the Del Folian border. They looked excitedly at each other. They were the first armed troops inside Del Folio since they had been in 5 years earlier on a peacekeeping mission just inside the border. The boats moved quietly up the river. They encountered no boat patrols, which was lucky, for the boats .50 cal machine guns had been removed to carry more troops. Each boat had a different location to land, and already 3 had been dispatched to either side of the bank, where they had been told their target was to be found. The targets were unknown to everyone else but the team working on that target. No sounds of gunfire could be heard, meaning the teams had made it up the river without any incident.

15 minutes later...

All the teams had departed. The river was void of all life now, the river was spookily empty of Del Folian presence...A little too void. All that showed of the enemy was some river mines lurking just below the surface, which had to be quickly defused. The teams heard military aircraft moving overheard, and in the distance, vehicles moving towards the border with Smeebobfred. The Commander of the operations unit made a note to send HQ a quick-burst message to warn Smeebobfred. But this was to happen later...The military targets needed removing for the invasion.

The teams buried their boats and loaded up their gear for the "yomp" across the barren landscape of Del Folio until they reached their military targets.

Del Folio would pay.

"General Caracas, this is Admiral Dagon. Standby to land."

Almost midday, the Imperial transports, ground up at the Southern Del Folio coast. During the next hour thousands of Infantry and Armour would pour onshore.

The navy formed a blockade around the coast to protect the transports. Fighter patrols flew CAP over the fleet and ground forces.

General Caracas called over his officers. "Captain, establish an HQ Bunker, at least 40ft underground. Then contact the Del Folio government and find out what sort of attack plan they have and what defensive strategies are in place."

10 mins later after handing out orders, Captain Mauriac, departed with his battalion into Catalan Harbour and secured the city, post Guards squads throughtout, and camo MG positions around the perimeter.

The Wraith Commander, codenamed Ghost, sat around a crate with 4 other wraiths. Each of the 4 led a team of 10. The other 30 Wraiths would stay at the warehouse. On top of the crate was a map. The map showed Del Folio. They also had a map of the capital on the crate. They would not know what was going on outside unless they got another Ybronneb communications set. Therefore they would choose their own ops. Ghost didn't mind...he didn't like how the government was always looking over his shoulder anyway. They chose as their target a tank factory near the warehouse. They immediately sent out a team of 3 Wraiths to scope it out.

I was the one who wrote that in the second post of this thread.
Now plz stop flaming(infact; edit that post, its offensive), This is an RP forum. We roleplay as the government of our nation. None of us is Nazi or even extremist(atleast not as far as i know), some of us might be playing as bad/evil guys but thats all roleplay. So: get along with the game or get out.

When Field Marshall Putnik checked the Intel reports today, he noticed the Yallak forces, they were much larger than the ones Vollmeria had sent. The Field Marshall saw no other option but to speed up the mobilization of the 2nd Armeegruppe under Field Marshall Von Bock and ordered General Von Manteuffel to activate the 3rd Armeegruppe.

Hasso von Manteuffels forces are a mix of mecanized and armored divisions, the elite of the Vollmerian Army. They will be ready for transport by tomorrow(RL).

The scouts surveyed the factory through binoculars. There were towers and walls surrounding it. They would have to find another way in. They went back to the warehouse, and moved the crate that was over the grate. Then the three went through the sewers, looking for a grate leading to the factory. Finally, the sound of machinery came through a grate ahead. They went to it and slowly peeked out. They each had their pistols drawn. They had permission to shoot any targets of oppurtunity.

The scouts, after seeing that the grate led to a small area outside the building where the machinery was housed, crawled out of the sewers. Quickly they looked around, looking for gaurds. None were near them. The three crept over to a door. One picked the lock on the door. Another waited with him to help scout the uilding. The third went around the building and found a ladder to the roof. He slowly climbed it. Once on top he counted guards. There was a total of about ten in the towers, and 2 more patrolled. Then he went back down to assist in scouting the building.

Inside was machinery and a long conveyor belt. Tanks rolled across it and exited into another building. There was one guard in the room. He was watching the tanks roll by and had not noticed the door open. One Wraith leveled his pistol and took aim. He pulled the trigger once...twice. The guard, hit in the chest, cried out. Suddenly two more guards ran in. One shot at one Wraith, killing him instantly. The other two Wraiths killed the guards with relative ease. The dragged the fallen Wraith, Jacobs, outside and dumped him back into the sewers. Then they went inside. One scout, named Wrigley, set a bag of grenades by the door and wired a trip wire. If anyone were to trip on the wire, the building would be reduced to rubble. Next, he went through a door. It was an office, with a safe against the wall. The second Wraith, Johnson, picked the combination using a stethoscope, and grabbed the papers inside. He would give them to Ghost to read and perhaps send to Rufai. Then they left, careful to not set off their own trap. Next they searched the second building, which was larger. It seemed to be a parking area for the tanks. It was void of human life. They set the same trap there and left. The last building was largest. It was the actual factory. They searched it, and it too had nothing useful. They set the same trap again and also put a remote detonated bomb in one corner near the conveyor belt, and another on the machinery itself. Then they left, dragging Jacobs' body through the sewers, back to the warehouse.

OOC: Is Del Folio gonna post? It would be nice to see him RP the factory a little... Either way, it will be done. *Sigh*

The village Police force had been informed by one of the locals who thought he might have seen movement by suspicious characters in the area.

3 miles away the Police officer at reception in the village station telephoned the factory. He waited. No answer came.

"What do we do, boss?" The boss sighed. He used to serve in the Elite Del Folio SEALs 3rd Division Unit in the war on DAD and had experience of this sort of thing.

"We'll have to clear the area. We don't want to have to have any more casualties than we need to".

10 minutes later the Commander of the regional Folio barracks had ordered the demolition of the two factories.

"2 units will go out. The first will take out the factories, and the second - get the whole area cleaned up. I want no stone unturned", he ordered. Find them. Find them and get them. Dismissed!".

"Sir, we have rigged the two factories. We have also taken some papers from a safe. Here they are." Wrigley gave Ghost the papers.

"Good...blow the factories....we have bigger fish to fry." Ghost ordered.

"Yes Sir."

Twenty minutes later the factories exploded, reduced to rubble. Also, a radio was stolen before the detonation. It would help the Wraiths intercept any transmissions on certain Del Folio frequencies, most civilian, no encrypted or such. Wrigley then returned to the warehouse.

Meanwhile, in Ybronneb

"General, what is the status on our forces?" Lord Do'Calamar asked over the phone. (He was at the 50th anual death games)

"Sir, we have our forces in position. We wait only for your order."

"Good....thank you, General."

"You are welcome, sir."

The two hung up their phones.

In Del Folio's Capital

Agent Bradson of Spectre Unit finished his survey of the general's house. The target was in charge of a medium sized force that was due to move out for Rufai soon. The house was swarming with MP's, but Bradson was on a hill behind the house. He leveled his rifle at the General's bedroom window. Occasionally the General would cross the window...after 3 of these crossings, Bradson shot the military leader. :sniper:The shot from the rifle rang out. The general fell, clutching his chest. Bradson quickly packed up and left for his hotel.
-------------------------
Agent Gare of Spectre Unit stood on the roof of a hotel near the capital building. He was kneeling, with his rocket launcher aimed at the capital building. Knowing he would probably be caught in time, he launched the rocket. It streaked in on the capital building. The leader of Del Folio was not there at the time. Gare ran down the fire escape stairs, leaving the rocket launcher in a cardboard box. He immediately went to his hotel, via taxi.

OOC: Thanks Del Folio....I didn't mean to sound rude earlier.

Staging area on Rufai/del folio border

General Bengtssen surveyed the scene intently from his humvee. Taking his binoculars out, he looked on. This was a small border town, large enough to hold a railway station. Fortunatly, it was intact, and tanks, trucks, and armored vehicles were pouring in. The local municipal airport was taken over, and local highways were converted into makeshift runways for A-10s and F-15s. Troops poured in from Rufai port cities guarded by Bonstocknian carrier groups.

An orderly drove up in a humvee to Bengtssen. "Sir, message from VI Corps. They're ready to move out."

"What about IX Corps?"

"Don't know sir."

"Tell VI Corps to start operations immediatly."

"Yes, sir." He then drove off.

Bengtssen grabbed the radio. "Get me IX Corps HQ."

After a brief pause, a radioman came online. "Sir?"

"This is Army HQ. I want IX Corps to move out."

"Yes, sir."

A few minutes went by. All of a sudden, the entire front erupted into an artillery barrage. Three hundred 155mm Crusader howitzers and 450 105mm howitzers opened up on enemy positions.

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ground/images/crusader-rateoffire.mov

Bengtssen looked again into his binoculars. Overhad he could hear six-hundred F-15s take to the air to knock out any opposition they might face. Then, the low, distinct drone of A-10s. They flew low and slow over enemy positions. Their 30mm guns tore through any armor in Bonstock's way. Smoke began to cloud the view. The sound was one, endless, deafening explosion. Each howitzer fired about 30 shots. In five minutes, the great barrage was over.

Bengtssen turned to the driver. "Tell the tanks to move on forward. We are moving out!"

"Yes, sir."

Bradson and Garew met up in their hotel. Knowing that they would be caught soon, and probably killed, they put all their ID and other revealing items in the oven, and turned it onto its highest setting. Then they loaded the submachine guns that they had hidden under their bed and waited. Yallak's forces had already found them.....they had followed Gare to the hotel. It was only a matter of time. They set a trip wire trap with a grenade on the end by the door. Then they moved into a corner and waited. The blast would probably kill them too, but they would become war heroes in Ybronneb. "Sir, our forces have the hotel surrounded, what are your orders?"

"Hold here."

As the soldiers moved off to coordinate the siege, Captain Ahren picked up a rock. To it he tied a message before hurling the rock into one of the hotel windows.

All around the hotel, APC's rolled into the streets. Assult infantry deployed behind the armoured beasts. There was no exit from the building not protected by at least 20 men with armour to cover behind.

"Okay. What now?

"Now, pull the pins from 2 of 'em. And toss 'em out the window. OVER OUR DEAD BODIES!" Gare hollered as Bradson lobbed the grenades out the window.

"Now. Get the two chunks of C4. Strap 'em to me. You will stay and toss the rest of the grenades."

Gare read the note. He spoke with Bradson.

"Listen Bradson. We can't die in vain. Now, neither of us have families. Just a country that we need to fight for. Grab the grenades."

"Okay.

"Okay."

Strapped up, Gare jumped out the window. When he was about five feet from the ground, he detonated himself.

Bradson tossed the remaining three grenades, then strapped himself up and did the same.

In their minds, they died for the glory of Ybronneb.

OOC: I think Folio should post more than the rest of us....However, even Rufai hasn't posted much....Ah well.

A warning cry went out from one of the guards as the grenade came flying out of the windows. The soldiers scrambled to cover allowing the frag's to explode harmlessly against the APC's armour.
The unexpected C4 explosion that followed however ripped apart the closest vehicle. The 5 men hiding behind it went flying backwards. Medics ran in but for 3 of them, they were beyond help.
Moving the APC's back, ground forces opened fire on the second jumper as to kill him before he could detonante his bomb.

After their arrival in Rufai, the 1st Armeegruppe moved to the frontline near the Bonstockian forces,

"General von Kuchler sir, Yallak is counterattacking our allie. What shall we do?

"We cannot allow the enemy to invade Rufai, form a defensive line to support Bonstock and ask field marshall von Bock his armor first so they can be used as startegical reserve.
Use bombers to slow down or even stop the Yallakian advance, dont fly to deep in Yallakian territory, i dont want to lose to many aircraft from enemy AA"

ooc: sorry, didn't see that.

ic: "General Bengtssen, radar reports hostile air movements in the area."

"Well are the F-15s up?"

"Yes, sir. Nearly 300 of them."

"Good. Tell them to intercept."

"Roger, sir."

"And get the damn navy to blow their ships out of the water."

"Yes, sir."

300 F-15s which had been performing CAP started intercepting the enemy bombers.

The area was too far from the coast to be shelled, but missiles quickly streaked into Bonstocknian positions. Artillery cannons, which had been recently shelling positions, were attempting to scoot away, making it hard for missiles to target. Still, 25 Crusaders were destroyed. Yet casualties among the less mobile 105mm howizers were horrendous. 150 of them were blown to bits, and most Bonstocknian light forces were left without artillery support.

The tanks constinued to advance, though 80 tanks and 160 IFVs were taken out by enemy cruise missiles. Still, the advance continued, but more sluggishly. Infantry got out of their CV-90s, supported by the 40mm chain guns of the vehicles, and shot any enemy soldier they could find. Explosions from cruise missiles caused more casualties among them.

Helicopters quickly swooped in to evacuate wounded men. Some 800 were dead, and about that number were seriously wounded.

Meanwhile, aboard the Bonstocknian carriers, a strike group formed to take out the enemy fleet, or at least keep it from mauling Bonstocknian troops. A wave of 60 F-35s took off from the carrier Respite, and separated into five squadrons of 12. The waves flew low and far apart, to avoid detection if at all possible. The squadrons of 12 then separated into flights of 4, and each flight locked on a seprate target. Then each plane fired 2 Harpoon anti-ship missiles at the enemy fleet.

Meanwhile, Bengtssen continued looking into his binoculares, and saw the enemy advance. His jaw dropped. "Son of a bitch!" he said.

"Sir?"

"I want an immediate withdrawl to prepared defense posistions. We're gonna be destroyed if we press any farther."

"Yes, sir."

Bengtssen grabbed the telephone. "Get me a line with Lord Harald," he screamed to the signals operators.

After a few minutes, he got his wish.

"Hello?"

"My lord, the enemy's forces are far greater then we have expected. I ask permission to withdraw to defensive positions, and I request more troops. Far more then we have now. I need 300 Infantry Divisions, 150 armored divisions and 150 heavy artillery divisions if I have a single prayer of getting the job done."

"That may take a year or more. Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure. We need more troops. I need millions. I have twenty thousand enemy tanks and 2 million enemy troops advancing. I can't go on here!"

"I will see what can be done, but it will take a total mobilization and at least a year to get you the desired troops. Hold up the enemy as best you can, but don't let go of the ports! If we lose those, we're lost."

"Yes, sir. In the manwhile, I'dlike to request as many .50 caliber machine guns and TOW missiles as I can get."

"I'll grant that. They'll be sent by C-17 as soon as we get them out of our arsenals."

"I need at least 4,000 TOWs, and 8,000 .50 caliber machine guns."

"That can be done. Ask if you need more."

"Roger, sir."

"I'll covene a meeting with the Joint Chiefs of Staff regarding a total mobilizaion. Meanwhile, hold the line, and if the nemy breaks through, use the Vollmerians."

"Aye. Goodbye, sir."

"Good luck. May the Fates be on our side."

The line was then closed. Bengtssen got on the radio again. "Get me von Bock."

"But sir, Vollmerian..."

"Do it, or I'll have you court martialed."

"Yes, sir."

The line came through. "Yes?"

"Field Marshall, I need your tanks to go behind our lines and destroy any breakthroughs. Our guys are trying to get reinforcements. If our troops cannot hold off the enemy, I need you to go in."

Meanwhile, Port Yuko, Bonstock.

Lord Harald sat at the front of the table, where the Joint Chiefs of Staff sat ready to help him. Harald stroked his reddish beard as Field Marshall Erikssen outlined the situation.

"Sir, to perform a total mobilization, we would need to activate all factories in Bonstock, and allow for millions of new troops to be trained and equipped. Needless to say, this requires a state of war between ourselves and all enemy combatant nations."

Harald spoke "Already done. The Riksdag is voting on it now, and I expect it to be done."

"Anyway, rationing would take place, and fuel, metal, and food will have to be made into rare things. Now, the force we are planning calls for 30,000 Main Battle Tanks, 15,000 large caliber artillery pieces, and nearly 3 million inantrymen. My best estimate says for that force, 60 million support troops would be required."

"60 million?" Lord Harald said.

"Yes. We need sailors, airmen, truck drivers, cooks, nurses, engineers, all sorts of men to perform these tasks."

"How long will it take?"

"Probably a year."

"You have four months."

"But sir!"

"No, I'm serious."

"That will strain us to the breaking point. Is it possible?"

"I don't care if its possible. It will be done. Build so many ships, tanks, trucks, and bombers that they won't even concieve of defeating us."

"Sir, do you realize how difficult it will be?"

"Do it."

"Yes, sir."

Meanwhile, factories come to life producing everything from uniforms and rifles to tanks and bombers. Draft calls go out, and men report for duty, with more spirit then skill. They are handed AK-47s, told how to shoot, and trained brutally for about two weeks. Some go to work learning how to drive tanks, or fire artillery guns. Though even they are poorly trained, and seem to have little hope of surviving long in a combat situation.

Meanwhile, every ship in the Bonstocknian merchant fleet is recalled, and organized to carry men and equipment to the combat zone.

Stocks of weapons, meant for the defense of the Bonstocknian homeland, were broken out. Nearly 60,000 T-72, 30,000 Smerch artillery rockets, and millions of rifles are sent out. About half are put on ships, the rest used for training, though many soldiers are trained with wooden rifles, fake tanks, and other hastily assembled contraptions. Bonstocknian troops already in battle attempt to hold back the tide while awaiting these reinforcements.

In brief.

My forces stoped moving the attack on Bonstock (infantry have begun fortifying the place and setting up many hundred Stinger AA positions - General Cruniac sent a letter call for Bonstocks withdrawl from this conflict otherwise a fullscale attack will start. 1 hour given to reply (ie Bonstock next post).

520 F-22's + 520 F-14's at a range of 160km have begun the attack on Bonstocks 300 F-15 fighters. Each launched 1 missile at them (1040 missiles guided by radar, infra-red and AWAC's)

180 F-18's have moved to attack the Vollmerian bombers.

My fleet has been resupplied and begun a cruise missile strike on Vollmerian forces arriving on field.

22 of my frigates have fired 6 ESSM missle each to intercept Bonstock's anti ship missiles. (132 missile with 92+% hit ratio)

i think that was about it if i missed replying to anything in anyones post let me know and ill do that tomorrow.

On the VMS Gneisenau, Admiral Saalwachter received a call

Admiral, This is von Bock. The enemy is launching cruise missiles at our forces, do whatever you have to to stop them.

No problem, we will launch diplomat missiles at their navy while they are diverted by Bonstocks anti shipping attack... but i would like to withdraw our aircraft from their mission against Yallakian groundforces.
Intel shows the enemy has stopped its advance and is bringing in large amounts of AA defenses. We have lost about 30 aircraft. It is good we did not send them to far into enemy territory or losses would have been much greater.

Very well pull them back, use your aircraft to protect your fleet.

In the meantime von Kuchler contacted Field marshall Putnik
Sir, we need more aircraft and ground forces, a fourth Armeegruppe would also be most welcome

I will see what i can do, i will send von Greims airfleet imediatly. And i'll try to get some extra armor into a 4th Armeegruppe under command of General Guderian, i'll give you more details once the gruppe is formed.
And general, contact the Bonstocknians... we need to cooperate if we want to go on the offensive. Together we can beat Yallak and Del folio!

von Manteuffel had the same idea, he will go to their HQ to talk to them.

Excellent, our combined forces will have these warmongering pigs on their knees in no time

ic:

"Lord Harald, we have enough Leopard IIs to field an army, but we'll have to modify it a bit. We don't have enough Crusaders or CV-90s for a traditional division, so we'll have to use traditional howitzers and trucks instead."

"Perfect. How soon can we get them to battle?"

"We'll have to call up the past four years of military trainees, and we'll have a total of 240 divisions in the battle within two months, given good travelling conditions."

He looked at a man in a naval admiral's uniform. "Well, can the Navy secure the waters, Admiral von Wiessland?"

"With enough subs and destroyers, of course, sir."

"Good. I want the Yallak fleet eliminated. How was the preliminary strike?"

"I'm not sure. We have 24 Seawolf attack subs in the area working on the enemy."

"Good. Finish them."

"Aye, sir."

"Anyway," he said, turning to his Army general, "What will be the composition of these new divisions?"

"Fifteen thousand men, five-hundred trucks, seventy five howitzers, and one-hundred-fifty Leopard tanks."

"Good enough."

Meanwhile

"General Bengtssen, the attack has stopped, but a fierce dogfight rages in the air."

Bengtssen looked to the sky, at the Bonstocknian fighters firing missiles at the Yallak fighters. "I can bloody damn well see that, whats the casualty report?"

"At least 150 Bonstocknian fighters have been shot down."

"Don't we have another wave waiting?"

"Yes, but..."

"Send them in dammit!"

"Yes, sir."

With the remaining F-15s in a fierce dogfight with the Yallakian fighters, three hundred more quckly took off, and each fired two AIM-120 AMRAAMs at the enemy fighters before getting wrapped in the dogfight themselves.

Meanwhile, past conscripts were quickly forced into service again. Bonstocknian universities were practically emptied overnight. Not without protest though, sometimes violent. At least half refused to report for duty.

Meanwhile, with Yallak fighters engaged, four B-2 bombers take off from thier forward base. Since there were only four, they were more or less invisible to enemy radars. They approached the del folio capital. Instantly, two were shot down by SAMs and AAA batteries, and thier pilots ejected, four Bonstocknians becoming POWs. The rest dropped 160 500-lb. dumb-bombs on a heavily populated area. Then they too become victims. Four more Bonstocknians became POWs. Suicide as the mission was, it was considered important.

Meanwhile, a convoy of 60 cargo ships departs from Port Yuko, en route to Rufai, escorted by 24 destroyers and four aircraft carriers. F-35s patrol overhead, and destroyers keep a constant vigil for any threat.

The 20 Poseidon Unit members selected to perform the operation against Yallak's navy were lined up on the Ybronneb destroyer: Zabre. They were being briefed on the current objectives for the op.

"You will go to each targeted vessel through clandestine means. The details of those means are still being decided. You will then board the vessels and set C4 charges on their amunition stockpiles. Then you will set the timer for approximately 20 minutes. They will all blow at the same time, if all goes as planned. This will severly cripple Yallak's navy, which will leave it open for a full assault on the part of our navy. Then you and other Poaseidon Unit members will set your sights on the Del Folian fleets. Now go to your seperate briefing rooms to receive your targets and gear. Dismissed!" The Poseidon Unit commander briefed.

The 20 operatives split into 10 groups of 2. Then they went to their specific briefing rooms. There they were given targets within the Yallak fleet. The ten targets were all high-class ships of the Yallak fleet: Aircraft Carriers, Destroyers, and Battleships. They were each given 5 pounds of C4. They would then set them to a specific frequency which would be transmitted upon either all members safe return or 30 minutes....whichever happened first. They were each given a silenced pistol, waterproof packs, and the C4. All ID was stripped from them. They boarded choppers which would drop them near their targets in two hours.....

"General - 1st Fleet reports many enemy casulties"

"Losses?"

"About 9%"

"Hmmm, engage all remaining fighters"

As the enemy reinforcements entered the dog fighting, 180 F-18 Superhornet's screamed in on the flank (coming up from the side where the Volmerian bombers had retreated), firing over 700 missiles at their targets then moving themselves into the fray.

Shouts echoed among the massive armoured cohorts as Captain Mauriac ready the Yallakian Legions.

"All Divisions, commence firing"

With 50% of the armour in position to fire, over 10,000 180mm guns began bombarding the enemy positions.
Behind them the newly arrived artillery batteries, totaling 5,000 200mm guns opened up too.
400 MLRS launchers were used to suppress the closer sections of the Volmerian forces.

All the time, hundreds of trucks and divisions of Yallakian APC's ferried supplies and ammunition to the frontline.

General Bengtssen sends a frantic message to Vollmerian forces:

"Herr von Griems, I want you to fly as many fighters into the air. Also, get bombers into airbases. We need them for a tactical mission."

"Herr von Bock, we need to prepare for the attack. We'll lose some ground, but we shall lure them and hit them while they're moving fast. Sure, we'll lose ground, but we must. Reinforcements are coming, and we'll have 60 divisions next month, 240 ater three months. We ask that you request similar forces from your government."

Meanwhile, 600 more Bonstocknian F-15s take off from bases in Bonstock. Refeuled multiple times by KC-10s from Bonstocknian bases, they land in hastily constructed forward bases in Rufai, with their crews tired and exhausted. In addition, a stream of C-17s fly in more Bonstocknian troops; about 15000 per day start entering Rufai bases, escorted by yet more F-15s and F-22s, which have been held back to protect Bonstocknian supply lines. Forward bases well up with troops, and barracks quickly go up. Activity seems great.

Meanwhile, the artillery shatters frontline Bonstocknian divisions. Burning hulks that were once tanks, trucks, and armored vehicles litter the area. Bonstocknian Crusader artillery pieces remain unhurt due to their being far away, with only 5 destroyed. They responded en masse: nearly 250 started firing new sattelite guided shells at the enemy. Sattelites located enemy artillery emplacements, and the Crusaders fired rounds at them. Thousands of these guided rounds were fired.

Meanwhile, frontline units, having lost 300 tanks and 600 IFVs, and thousand of men, are all but destroyed.

Also, the Bonstocknian convoy makes the half-way point. Another convoy starts on its way, with the same numbers.'

Field marshall Putnik paid a visit to von Bocks HQ, an excellent opportunity to discuss the current situation

Radomir (Putnik), General Bengtssen of Bonstock asks us to send more troops to Rufai for an upcoming offensive of our combined forces, i wanted to send general Bayerlein to ask you but now that youre here...

Yes, I will ask Khamul to free up the six Armeegruppes in Lhasa, he will have to ask the Emperor... and the Emperor will only give them if he thinks it is really necessary... Fedor, you must convince... no, interest him in these matters.

Well, there are indications that the enemy wants to attack, and i have this report for him about recent cruise missile and artillery attacks. i had to pull back nine divisions, two mecanized and seven infantry, all nine fell back to 1/3 of their combat strength. That should interest him.

What about your other divisions? the armor?

The armored divisions suffered some casualties too, but most are still at 95% or higher, we'll get some new equipment and men as soon as we can

And your tactical plans for the future, Fedor?

I left that to von Manteuffel and he has come up with a great plan, we strengthen our flanks and let the enemy go into our center, von Manteuffel wants to let them go on for a while and stop them with his 3rd Armeegruppe, at the same time we, Vollmerian and Bonstock armor, hit their flanks and cut off the head of their spearhead. I have already sent a copy of this plan to General Bengtssen. Our troops are already in the right position, all Bengtssen has to do is approve and do the same.

What if the enemy breaks trough the 3rd Armeegruppe?

No problem, I'll have Guderian, who is arriving today, counterattack them with the extra armored divisions you attached to his Armeegruppe

Ah yes, I found nine panzerdivisions for him, sitting around doing nothing. together with twelve panzerdivisions in the 4th he now has Twenty-one panzerdivisions. I suppose that is enough.
Good, I will return to Vollmeria and try to get reinforcements for you

Radomir, one more thing. Extra airpower. That would be useful for our future operations.

I'll see what i can do Fedor! I'll see what i can do.

Explosions rocked the rear of the Yallakian position, at first causing little damage, but it took little time for the enemy satellites to obtain lock on artillery positions.
Hundreds of guns were lost - with more than 85% of their crews killed, before A6 Blackouts launched from the land base could arrive on the scene, their highly advanced jamming systems creating false targets for the shells or causing them to explode in midair. Yet everynow and then a lucky shell found its mark.

"General Cruniac, several ammunition dumps were hit during the attack"

"Do we have enough left to continue the bombardment?"

"Yes, more than enough. General Caracas made sure we were supplied with shells enough for 3 Legions"

"Very well, recom....

Just then a soldier came running up

"General, message from Caracas"

"hmm, thankyou Corporal.
Captain you may stand down your forces"

General Cruniac then climbed into his jeep and took off towards the enemy lines - his radio transmitting a call to the enemy forces for a cease fire/ diplomatic session.

Air over Frontline*

With fighter squadrons fuel levels running very low and a new body of enemy fighters moving in to the side, all wings were given the order to get low and return to base. (im assuming by now Bonstock has negligable air forces left in the battle being outnumber more than 3 to 1 against superior aircraft)
On the ground thousands of Stinger AA positions would ensure any craft that followed became nothing more than scrap metal.

The first convoy made it safely to Rufai, disembarked its cargo and set back off for Bonstock. Meanwhile, another 600 Bonstocknian F-15s made it to Rufai, but again their pilots would have to rest after the 20 hour flight. Bonstocknian factories were hard at work building more. Another convoy of ships, same numbers as before, leaves Bonstock, and the second one gets about halfway. C-17s quickly start flying in yet more troops, bringing Bonstocknian troop counts to nearly a million men, though most were support troops.

Bonstocknian artillery crews rejoiced in their sucesses, for now, as sixty F-15s rose to challenge the A6s. After firing 120 AIM-120 missiles and losing 15 of their own to Stinger missiles, they flew back to base.

Quickly, General Bengtssen heard the message for a diplomatic truce. "All forces stand down, but remain on absolute full alert," was the message that filtered through Bonstocknian positions. Bonstocknian artillery crews stopped shelling, though sentries kept a watchful eye for any violations of the new-born ceasefire.

The many Del Folian troops deported in Rufai wearily made their way back to the mother-nation. They were exhausted, but knew they had fought for an honourable cause.

At midday on the 15th September 2004, The Holy Del Folian Emperor proposed a treaty. The treaty ensured the future of Del Folio would remain safe; the country would be left alone by the nations involved in the war, in return for the 10 billion USD requested. The remaining hospitals of Del Folio would also offer wounded troops of the enemy nations support while they recovered from their injuries.

Del Folio hopes its appologies are accepted.

After one year, Ybronneb agrees to pull them out as well.

OOC: Um...doesn't Del Folio have to say what he is going to do? You can't dictate what his country does without his permission....just a thought.

Yeah....but he hadn't been posting.

IC: Imperial Forces will be pulled out of Del Folio over the next 2 weeks. Elements of the 7th Legion will remain for the duration of Ybronneb's occupation (for the purposes of retaining stability) as will the 4th fleet (their transports home) which will remain outside Del Folian waters until removing the last ground forces.
