Need mining equipment.

Last night a huge, and i mean HUGE source of Uranium was discovered from Raven Moutain Pass, northeast from Gemma Plateau. This could be provide a stable source of Uranium for YEARS to come - however, the economy of Keimonia is not sufficent to support efficent mining.

Will buy drilling vehicles, Uranium detectors, mining elevators, seismic stabilazers, everything needed in uranium mining. Keimonia cant pay in cash, the budget can only afford 500,000 Keimos (6 million USD. 12 USD = 1 KK). However, the Uranium is more than sufficent for our pre-planned Nuclear program. Everything is set, except for uranium, witch we cant mine without sufficent equipment, witch we cant afford. So, we are willing to sell the uranium, or apply uranium as direct payment.

The mining can be started in 10 days....if we get the machines before that.

Well for 6 million I would suggest that you contract foreign companies to mine the Uranium. United Federation Mining INC. would be willing to be contracted for mining and drilling operations.

WHAT im saying that I can't pay upfront. The mining operation would produce a nice load of dought, plenty for anyone who can contribute the effort.

****Telefax from LasProd****

Sirs,

Given your urgent need for Uranium mining equipment and our nation's position as a major player in the uranium sector, we would be interested in assisting you. However, we would wish to see figures concerning the potential of the mines. Additionally, we would propose acquiring mining rights for the next 20 years, proceeds from which would be split 60-40. At the end of these 20 years, we would leave the equipment in place for your own use.

If you wish to discuss this further, please reply soon with your figures.

Keimonia experts believe this could produce 1000 tons of Uranium a month at maximum. Stock price of Uranium is as far i know, around 320 USD per Kg.
That would make the profit 320 million USD a month.

Ofcourse that would be with state-of-the-art technology and relentless manpower, but with minimal equipment, it should produce a fair 30 million per month. Not much for Lasatania, but a one-fifth of Keimonia's budget.

/edit: estimations are about 85% correct.

OOC: That works out at $76.8bn maximum over 20 years... resulting in $46.08bn on a 60-40 split... minus an initial investment of around $10bn would result in $36.08bn...

If you want, we'll make the initial investment.. but thereafter we expect $2.3bn a year in mining returns..

10 billion would get enough equipment supply enough uranium as 2,3 bn for you and 1,5 bn for me... my debt would be paid in a little more than 4 years.

Sounds fair enough.
Preparations have been ahead of schedcule, operation can begin in 8 days.

Its a deal!

OOC: First time. Did i do well?

Of course, i forgot: 8 days IF the terrorist threat has been lifted.
See this. (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=6740693)
But it should be no problem, in 8 days, i'll have those fuckers executed.

OOC: Not too bad..

Now for the details.. what I detailed was as follows

60-40% profit split in my favour..

However, I make initial investment of $10bn

Overall profit over 20 years is $76bn

60% of that = $46bn
-$10bn initial investment + operating costs

My profit = $36bn over 20 years

Your profit = 40% of $76bn = $30.4bn over 20 years

So I make $6bn more than you but after 20 years, the mining rights return to you..

(In NS terms this should only take about three weeks! if you work on 1 day = 1NS year)

OOC: As for the terrorist threat, we will deploy 10,000 troops at the mining facilities for protection if you consent
Keimonia

How much do you think the operating costs will be?

And, there are already 2000 NDA men patrolling all over Raven Mt. Pass.
With support of 100 men from The Rangers, and 500 regular order keepers, with even 4 helicopters (unarmed, recoissance only) patrolling the area.
(4 helicopters are about one fourth of the Keimonian Air Force  )

OOC: I was factoring that into the $10bn cost - around $5bn to establish it and then costs of $250m per year. IN addition, we would rather have our own forces for security given that their deployment presents less of a strain on our military than it would yours..

I cant allow more than 3000 troops in our territory.

Sending vehicles would be useless: R. Mt. Pass is very jagged terrain, expect for one old, but still in use road that is the only way in or out the planned mining compound. When the Air Force has only 1 fighter jet, and 2 armed helicopters, the terrorist could not possible have an armed airborne vehicle. Still, Anti-Air battle copters would be helpful.

The rangers are the Elite of The Elite. They have an extensive training, and the best equipment Keimonia can supply. Besides, 50 rangers are always patrolling the outskirts of Raven Pass for illegal immigrants. Positioning 50 more on the Mt. Pass itself is no strain, even though there are only 2000 rangers.

Well, the order keepers are a bit on they way, since they are mostly trained for brining in druken and aggresive people. They'll have to withdraw.

OOC: That would be acceptable, we can deploy 3,000 troops under the auspices of the Overseas Volunteer Force, namely 3,000 troops of the 3rd Airborne Division of the 1st Shock Army. Their remit would be to defend the mining interests in the region, nothing more than that. We can deploy them within 72 hours and withdraw within the same period of time if need be. If all this is satisfactory, I'll make an official announcement via a new thread..

OOC: Are you on 56k or broadband.. as we will probably donate your nation half a dozen aging aircraft for counter-insurgency purposes..
Keimonia

OOC: Broadband. What type of aircraft?
Lasatania
10-08-2004, 16:36
OOC: The LAS-F1000 - its a refurb of the Sukhoi Su-9, pretty lame in air to air but fine for bombing rebels - we'll give you 12 of them.. details are in my storefront (address is in the link in my signature [the click HERE ]

Dear Ambasador of Keimonia and fellow peoples of the world.

The people of Rampeageina understand your need to sustain a strong industry to the benefit of the good people of Keimonia.

But given the UNs ban on spreading of Nuclear Weapons Technology the Rampageinian people feel that you should use your newfound wealth in the most causious manner. Allowing private operators to mine and distribute this uranium is a serious threat to the sercurity of the region and the world in general.

On behalf of the peacfull people of Rampeageina I strongly urge the honurable government of Keimonia to stop the proliferation of nuclear technology, and high grade uranium. Allthough most use of uranium today is for electricity, and Keimonia hasn't disclosed any ores of plutonium or any insight as to what kind of Nuclear program you're researching.

If I dare venture an advice to a nation who obviously needs a good neighbour; it's that you disclose as soon as possible to the UN; or your regional pan national organ what your needs and intentions are. You may well use this blessing to the benefit of your people without placing them and the safety of the world in jeapordy.

Rampageina has a struggling economy itself, and it's only of late that we dare put our hopes into the fish farming that we've managed to create in our floating farms offshore. We surely can understand the need of Keimonia to find a viable source of income to it's people, but strongly feel that we must find another way for it's people to prosper. I can on behalf of my government and the soverign ruler of Rampageina promise our complete dedication to find a way in this fog of capitalistic oportunism that has risen from your unfortunate finding of this dangerous material.

In regards to recent terrorist threats, Rampageina can deploy a lighly armed troup of 2000 men of our proud historic Royal Infantry. But these highly trained men are well proficient in securing a few strategic installations, but will only serve as an interim solution until such a time that the UN or your organization of choice can provide a long term solution.

The solution of late; to deploy a private army is dangerous gambling, history is scattered with merchant armies run rampage and it's employers overrun.

To conclude my letter I once again must draw your, the UNs and the world in generals attention to our peoples growing concern: That this is yet another expansion of the Neuclear zone that sadly engulfs parts of our world in fear and environmental hazzard.

Dear Ambassador, fellow humans. Lets find a prosperous alternative!

Respectfully yours.
