The Bayonet ATGM Family consists of missiles suited for several platforms, multiple ranges and a variety of targets. The missiles in this family have sophisticated electro-optic CCD or IR sensors for operation day and night and in adverse weather conditions and a tandem warheads. Their lofted trajectories enable the warhead to hit the target at its most vulnerable part with pinpoint precision. All of the Bayonet Family members have a low Life Cycle Cost, due to high reliability and operational, logistic support and production commonality between members.

The Bayonet-MR-S is a lightweight, man-portable, Fire and Forget, multi-purpose missile system with a range of up to 5,000+ meters. Its Fire and Forget operational mode guarantees maximum gunner survivability and high hit probability. The Bayonet-MR-S has an optional Fire, Observe and Update mode of operation for the modern, multi-faceted battle.

1) Versatility: The missile can be adapted to naval, aerial, and land platforms.

2) Range: Range of 5+ km.

3) The warhead seeker: The warhead seeker is electro-optical (TV) and enables tracking as well as pinpoint target acquisition. In addition, the "Bayonet's" fiber-optic communcations system allows for the collection of vital intelligence gathering, the ability to seek hidden targets, and prevents firing against targets which have been previously destroyed.

4) All weather capability: The missile operates in all weather conditions and in nocturnal scenarios. The ability of the "Bayonet" to operate in the above-mentioned conditions represents a signifcant technological advance.

5) Tandem (double) warhead: The tandem double warhead allows for increased penetration, especially against reactive armor, and enables the second warhead to penetrate the target.

6) Fire and forget capability: Automatic target guidance.

7) Fire and optic capabilities: This includes the ability to update target information and to switch between targets during a flight.

8) Vertical assault trajectory.

9) Fiber optic communication.

10) Lightweight: Each infantry soldier can carry up to two missiles on his back.

The Bayonet-UL-A/V is a stand-alone anti-armour weapon system that is designed for mounting on combat vehicles. It can also be dismounted to a ground position, fitted onto a tripod, or a tank, The compact system includes the Bayonet-MR missile in its canister, the Command Launch Unit (CLU), a thermal sight and the Bayonet-MR launcher.

Bayonet-UL-A/V Weapon Package For Light Combat Vehicles
This mounted, remote controlled Bayonet-UL-A/V Anti-Armour Weapon System provides a complete armament package for Light Combat Vehicles (LCV). The system is modular and can be easily adapted to a variety of platforms. The package includes the Bayonet-UL-A/V or Bayonet-CR missile in its canister, a remote-controlled turret, housing a target acquisition system, launcher electronics unit and servo unit, and a gunner crew station accommodating the armament control panel, multi-functional display and handgrip.

in the Fire and Forget mode and the Fire, Observe and Update mode the Bayonet-UL-A/V's seeker dictates lock-on before launch. In the Fire and Steer mode, there is no need to lock-on target before launch; the pilot has the ability to choose the target after launch and steer the missile to the most vulnerable part of the target or lock-on and proceed with the Fire and Forget. In both, the Fire, Observe and Update, and and Fire and Steer modes, a bi-directional fiber-optic communication link transmits target images back to the launch platform enabling the pilot to update aim point or change targets mid-flight. The link also enables precision maneuvers within urban areas, mask down capability and real-time surveillance. the Bayonet-UL-A/V can be installed in any helicopter.


The Bayonet-UL-A/V helicopter-launcher, equipped with full helicopter interface, hosts up to 8 missiles within their canisters. It implements all aspects of missile operation including missile selection and activation, down and uplinks and firing sequence. The launcher is connected to the fixed helicopter pylon via 14" standard lugs on each side on each side of the helicopter and requires no helicopter modifications, other than software integration.

The launcher provides the following functions:
