According to President Maffret, the Republic of Lacomb will not be paticipating in the Olympics this year. Concern about Greece's Security has been an issue for sometime now. With only three days left this has come to a suprise to the world. President Maffret was quoted as saying "At this time our nation does not need another terrorist attack against us or anyone associated with us. We all feel that by pulling out now we are making it a safer place, due to the recent terror inccident from Raven Corps. My people apologize to the world as do i, but safety [for everyone] is our primary goal". The pulling out of the Olympics is not the first for a nation, in fact during the early world wars, some other smaller nations also declined the invite. Could this action cause other nations to do the same? With three days left other nations leaving could jeapordize the already fragile Greek Olympics.
