HNN live: "Today it has been leaked that the Emperor's cabinet has made a substancial offer to the Norwegian government to buy Norway and make it a province of Huzen Hagen. It is not known exactly what the offer entails but it is likely that it involves a sum of around 18 trillion or more. As to how our Empire can afford this i have been told that the Emperor has been stowing away any leftover funds from the budget for some time and estimates for this stash indicate it is around 350trillion.
It is widely known that Huzen Hagen already owns the Island of Svalbard but it is deciding to try to atain its goal peacfully this time with several points designed to make the offer more generous belived to be:
-Norway will retain some form of self rule as a province of Huzen Hagen but the power of the council would be far less then the government currently holds
-Investment in Norway to further boost it's economy and quality of life
-The simple fact that if the goverment of Norway refuses this offer military action will be used and once you compare The Holy Empires military budget of 2.4trillion to Norways 4million you can see this is not a desirable option.

HNN breaking news: "After being locked in talks for an entire day and night Norway willl officially become part of Huzen Hagen. The sum has not been disclosed but the fact that the final agreement cam so close after the initiall offer means the sum must have been huge. There have been some protests around Norway but on the whole those who have seen what this means for their nation realise this is a good thing. It is belived some Huzeny Engineers have already landed and have begun plotting a military base, and Royal Navy frigates are patrolling the coast. This is a great day for both Norway and Huzen Hagen."

You can't just role play the takeover of an entire nation, without any resistance. First of all, there is no doubt that Norway, or any nation for that matter, would have declined the offer. Secondly, for example, "My nation and Russia have joined forces, and become one nation", that is a terrible way to RP it. It just wouldn't happen like that. Thirdly, it is unfair to suddenly claim a nation, at the fact that someone else might own it. If you want to RP well, find the person who owns Norway first, discuss ideas with them, and if you both decide to go to war over it, then fine. I doubt that they will just hand it to you.
You need to be realistic when RP'ing these things. For a nation to just give up its independence like that is ridiculous.

It's just like the US forcing Canada to join us. Yea, the US is much stronger, and could easily defeat them, but Canada isn't just going to give up their independence.
I never knew of the Sirens of Titans, so I really don't care.
Norway would at least put up some sort of resistance. No nation in the entire world would so easily give up their independence for money.
