Mayor Kabapus and several scientists congregate inside a hidden lab underneath the Mirathan Asylum.
"I assume it's ready for testing?" Says Mayor Kabapus.
"Uh, almost..."
"Idiot! Do it NOW."
"But, it's not safe. Something could go wrong."
"To say that it's not already going wrong would be incorrect; to tamper with life in such a way, is so wrong, yet so beautiful..."
"Fine, let's start it."
They leave to another room. An asylum patient is chained up and connected to numerous tubes, ready to pour who knows what godforsaken ingredient into the body.
"Start it."
The patient starts to scream as numerous pumps begin to operate. Another scientist comes up from behind him and puts a hand over his mouth, muffling his screams.
Soon, the experiment is complete. The patient, once human, has turned into something different. His skin ripples with his beating heart. His body has become much more muscular and in general, bigger, and he breaks through the chains with a scream of bloodlusting fury.
"He will no longer feel pain. He can rip through tough metal with his teeth and bare hands. His flesh is the toughest leather. His immune system is, in all regards, perfect. His need for food, drink, sleep, even air, has been greatly diminished. He is completely subservient."
"Can we be sure of that?"
"His mind has been weakened in the process, and has retreated into a simple instinct to hunt. If we can find something to hunt soon enough, he'll follow us wherever. How many more should we make?"
"Oh, there's room for plenty more. After all, the prisons are overloaded, these patients are hopeless, the street vagabonds have no future, and the few citizens who aren't enlisted in military already aren't doing enough for this country. Get as many as we can."
