OOC: My nation has opposed the expansion of the Ortagan Hegemony and has paid the price, we won the battle of thetis but this is the cost we paid. IM not looking for support in the war, but if u send military units as security i wont mind. Please do a search for the raumriech before u come in as a lot of stuff is happening in this region and well you should read about it a bit first also.

Man has two supreme loyalties- to country and to family....So long as their families are safe, they will defend their country, believing that by their sacrifice they are safeguarding their families also. B.H. Liddel Hart

President Mike Sterns was a disappointed man, somehow he could not help but think that there was something else he could have done to avoid this…outcome. His people held to their principles and Opposed any Hegemony incursion into the Southern March of the Raumreich for everyone knew the cost of subjugation under Hegemon Ansel.

Oh how the sons and daughters of the WIckian Commonwealth fought to protect their homes, and the price they have paid! Yet, that price could not hope to equal the cost his people were going to pay. For a week now evacuation efforts have been on going, yet to evacuate a city of a billion and a half people was impossible, no the Solar Navy would have plenty of victims.

Blinding flashes were seen in the night sky, it would all be over soon. Lances of crimson energy impacted upon the surrounding country side digging deep into the planetary crust sending huge amounts of debris into the sky, some even struck the city itself. 450 cm graser killed many of their own people as they made one final effort to avert the inevitable.

“DAMN THE HEGEMONY AND DAMN THE HEGEMON” Sterns yelled into the night air as he fell to his knees and wept for his people….

The fireball that lit the sky last for only two second as the Behemoth acted as a cee-fractional weapon herself and plunged into the center of the Capital city, the resulting devastation was greater then any nuclear weapon could ever match. In less then a second the city was simply gone all that remained was a crater, this was the price of opposition to the expansion of the Ortagan Hegemony.

OOC: Arduous City had a population of a billion people when the Ortagan vessel struck, they all died relatively painless deaths. Though fallout would be high and the other 20 million or so on the planet would suffer from that.
