Commonwealth Authority and Federal Authority have decided to host wargames in Mississippian Libya. All units not on the border will be taking part in these massive wargames. The Commonwealth and Federal authorities will be fighting on the defensive in the first part of the games. They will be in static lines attempting to repel a massed enemy armored assault. Also the battle will then move into the CM forces counter-attacking as armored and mechanized reserves move up.

CM forces will be using standard CM tactics.

Parthia is invited to send 1 million soldiers to ML and assume the role of standard DPUO tactics and handle the opposing side.

Likely scenarios will include mock chemical attacks. The capture of the border city of New Jerusalem by Parthian "Enemy" forces and then the guerilla campaign by WKM inside the city to drive out and harass the "enemy forces"

All memebers of the League of Empire Loyalists are invited to attend:

The roles assumed will thus far be: Note the roles will be switched after the first series of games and then a new series will begin.

CM and League Forces:
1) Communist Mississippi

DPUO and his allied forces:

Reme
Legion High Command

They poured over the 'sandbox' maps of the Remelian Border with Lybia. The Legates knew that there wasnt any current animosity with those controlling the territories over the borders, but the heightened troop strengths needed attention irregardless. The Imperator and the Senate wouldnt not be pleased if the forthcoming operation left an opening into the outer provinces of the empire.

Legate Octavius scanned over the map and took note of the positions of the four legions in the final prepatory stages of their own operation along the border with Tunisia. He tapped his fingers along the edge of the map.

Reservists and the Home Gaurd were to be called up at the start of the operation in any case, it wouldnt do much harm to call them up early. They could move the 15th, 9th, 3rd and 16th Legions from their central locations and send them eastward to reinforce the 6th and the 5th. He nooded to himself. a few of the Reservist Legions would be emplaced there as well.

He sighed to himself and was thankful that he wasnt the one who had to deal with the political side of the situation. But, he could do his best to aide the politicians and ambassadors by ensuring that the troops that were moving to the border with Lybia began working on fortifications. Just to be on the safe side. It would have the added side effect of not appearing as a prepatory invasionary force.

Not that Octavius was at all interested in sending a handfull of legions over the border to be outnumbered. No, his legionaires were combat veterans and near experts in their fields, but that didnt mean that he was willing to test this against a number of forces that large.

He wrote the orders and sent them on their way with his adjutant to be disseminated throughout the Legions.

CM opens up the war games by dropping 2 parachute brigades from the Commonwealth division and 3 parachute brigades from a Federal division to serve as a "speed bump" against the massive Parthian armored spearhead until the Commonwealth and Federal can move up the massive armored and mechanized reserves.

Commonwealth and Federal artillery also begin pounding the massive advance of Parthian tanks and troops (not really though, it's all like laser tag, except much more advanced)

2 Brigades from the 18th Armored Division along with 2 brigades from the 14th BMP Mechanized Infantry Division and 3 brigades from the 17th Warrior Mechanized Infantry Division are racing past Tripoli to confront the advancing Parthia forces. 1 Brigade from the 18th Armored Division and 1 Brigade from the 14th BMP Mechanized Infantry Division are swinging west so they can hit the Parthians in the rear and flank as they are drawn forward into the jaws of the forces racing from Tripoli.

12 Federal Reserve Divisions are advancing in trucks and hummers from Tripoli.

3 Commonwealth Armored and 4 Commonwealth Mechanized Divisions are swinging into positions to be able to charge straight at the Parthian forces from the south as they advance towards Tripoli .

The Parthian units took heavy fire from the enemy artillery, kill lights on 1,000 infantry and 10 Tanks lit up as the Parthian units advanced towards the CM speedbump. At the head of the fray was the 1st Armored- 700 Tanks and supporting artillery. Tanks and their supporting artillery opened fire on the speedbump while the M-1s moved forward to make a breakethrough which would be exploited by the 2 infantry divisions following in their APCs and M2 Bradleys.

Commonwealth air forces fly 1,200 F-16Ds and 300 Su-25s along with 500 Mi-24s to provide close air support to parachute units.

1 brigade landed in the midst of the parthian armored spearhead and managed to take out a few dozen tanks with milans before the brigade members were "killed" or surrendered.

The other brigades dug firmly into positions and setup the MILANs and other AT weapons.

500 F-16s and 120 F-22s swoop in on the Mississippian aircraft and fire AIRAAM "missiles" at the enemy, a total of 620 missiles now flew towards the CM planes. A-10s and AH-64s moved close to the ground firing their "weapons" at the CM paratroopers. A-10s simulated use of cluster munitions and napalm while Apaches fired their guns and rockets an infantry.

On the flank 2 Immortals divisions and one full strength armored division (We use 2000 Tanks in each armored division but have broken the divisions into smaller sizes to represent DPUO tactics.) of 2000 tanks wheeled to face the enemy, firing the division's 350 Artillery pieces at the advancing Mississippians.

Kill lights went off all along the line, a further 10,000 now were "dead". Parthian JSFs armed with Tabun and VX unleashed their munitions on the flanking Mississippians to further escalate the conflict while Parthian troops donned CBW suits.

The planes fired counter-measures and disruption equipment went into action, but still 100 of the planes flew back to base, listed as "downed" The remaining planes fired their AIM-120 at the parthian aircraft.

Also the Commonwealth fleet sitting idle off the shores began to open a massive barrage against advancing parthian forces. The massive guns of
3 Arizona BBG Battleships
3 Baron Class Battleship (Iowa Class just renamed)
9 Hitler Class Destroyers (Arleigh Burke just renamed)
9 Stalin Class Frigates (Oliver Hazard Perry just renamed)
9 Kirov CGN
9 Farragut DDG (stealth)

were brought to bear against the advancing Parthian forces.

The 3rd and 4th fleets from nearby Benghazi and Al Khums were steaming for the area as fast as they could to provide more support.

CM and Commonwealth forces were already in their suits when the gas landed, but as usual, the Sgts and Lieutenants decided that some of the greenhorns wouldn't have been paying proper attention in training and thus had put parts of their suits on wrong. They tapped 500 men out as "dead".

Parthian forces raced into New Jerusalem, the largest and nearest city on the coast, it was defended by only 500 paratroopers and 100 Libyan Special Air Assault Squads operators. The Parthian commander saw this an opportunity to drive into the city with a massive armored spearhead and crush the garrison.

Inside the garages of many of the building in the city were the tanks of a brigade of commonwealth armor. 30 T-98 super heavy tanks in total. Outside the city buried in the sand were 200 T-98 tanks and 1,000 BMP-3s from 2 Commonwealth Armored Divisions. There were also 8 Commonwealth Infantry Divisions concealed in positions outside the city. The Parthian forces began to draw closer into the jaws of the city.

77 Parthian F-16s and 10 F-22s could not be saved even with countermeasures and decoys. The remainder... 233 F-16s and 110 F-22s moved in closer to bring their sidewinders to bear.

The battleships tore into the advancing Parthians, "killing" 1,000 in the Barrage. Only one thing could stop the ships off the coast.

Off the coast a wolfpack of 4 Seawolf submarines moved forward at 2 knots with mk48 torpedoes at the ready. Sonar readings began to flash in, it was a fleet... just a few miles away. The subs sprang into action, each one prepared four torpedo tubes and launched them, sending them toawrds the "enemy" fleet.

The captain of the "Curtis Fabus" BB-04A yelled "Fire counter-measures!" dozens of counter-measures were fired into the sea to distract the torpedoes and lure them from their real targets.

All but one of the torpedoes was lured away, the other "impacted" against the side of the massive Curtis Fabus BB-04A and the ship "listed" slightly to the side, but tests on the old design flaw BB-04 models had revealed at least 30-40 simultaneous torpedo hits would be needed to sink a Curtis Fabus Class Battleship. The ship listed 40 crew as killed.

The Commonwealth Libyan Navy submarines sprang into action and began seeking out the "enemy navies"

Commonwealth destroyers lobbed depth charges and other anti-submarine weapons into the sea.

The artillery of five armoured divisions, 1250 pieces in all, fired an artillery barrage onto the city. Shells were mostly "incindiary" or cluster munitions, though standard ones were still fired. For 15 minutes the barrage continued, and then as it ended the 672 Tanks of the 1st armored regiment and the 20,000 men of the 1st infantry division descended on the city. 25,000 Immortals and one more armoured division began to move around the city and surround it, unleashing artillery at unconquered parts.

The M1-A2 tanks of Parthia continued to fire at the behemoths, unable to penetrate their massive armor. Then crashing through the streets, an R-409, a 180 ton monstrosity with 2 155mm cannons opened fire on a CM tank. Many of the LSAAS operators had concealed themelves in sewers, and as the R-409s rolled by, they popped out and fired Milans at the bellies of the tanks.

The T-98s had suffered 5 tanks "knocked-out" due to the R-409s, and they began to drive in reverse back towards the center of the city, all the while pummeling the M1-A2s with their 145mm guns. The M1-A2s shells literally bounced off the sides of the T-98s.

10 Destroyers and 2 frigates exploded under the missile barrage. The Nimitz class carriers swang into action as her air wing of 35 F-18s, 15 F-35s, and 30 F-14s moved in to engage the Mississippian carrier fleet. F-18s turned towards the enemy fighters and unleashed AIRAAMS while JSFs and F-14s launched 90 Harpoon missiles at the enemy fleet.

More ships and an amphibious division of Immortals were on their way. It was the majority of the Red Sea fleet:
5 Nimitz class carriers
4 Gullien class superbattleships
8 Iowa class blattleships
35 Ticonderoga class cruisiers
45 Arleighj Burke class destroyers
25 Oliver Hazard Perry class frigates.
20 Los Angeles SSNs
15 Seawolf Class SSNs
2 Tarawa class landing vessels
many transports

In New Jerusalem Parthian tank crews began to use depleted uranium "shells" to destroy the enemy tanks now that 3 R-409s had been immobilized into massive bunkers. A-10s and AH-64s attacked the massive T-98s with vulcan cannons and hellfire missiles. Parthian infantry continued to advance under heavy fire from snipers and tanks, clearing each buidling with armor alongside to assist.

Suddenly all around the city, the units and tanks concealed in the sand sprang into action, the units approaching from the south and the flanks slammed into the Parthia rear guard units holding the roads into the city open. Inside the city over 50,000 citizens in the reserves, armed with AT and other weapons begin firing from every alley, window, building, etc.

The Air force in Egypt flew over 5,000 F-16Ds and Su-25s to stop the advancing Parthian navy through Suez, the canal was hit by 100 B-52s and several merchant ships that were using the canal would have been listed as "sunk and blocking passage"

Back in New Jerusalem over 4,000 BMP-3s and 500 T-98s along with 400,000 soldiers, surrounded the city. As 300 T-98s and over 200,000 soldiers slammed into the rear guards units in massive steamroller assaults.

Now it was time....

The bulk of the Parthian army began to advance upon the city, shelling the outskirts with cluster and airburst munitions. This time at the head was the 4th infantry and the 3rd armor. Behind them were two divisions of Immortals, armed with Scimitars and XM-8s. 30 Infantry divisions (600,000 Troops in M-113s or M2-A3s with mortar and M-777 support), 10 Tank divisions (20,000 M1-A2s, 100 R-409s, 1500 M-109s, 1000 MLRS, 100 Patriot batteries.), and 2 Immortals Legions (50,000 men in M2-A3 bradleys with 300 M1-A2s plus mortar and M-777 support) began to march on the city. Parthian armor far outnumbered the Mississippian armor and would overwhelm them with sheer numbers. A-10s guarded by 300 F-22s led the assault, firing their cannons at the enemy tanks before unleashing dummy missiles. Artillery once again hit the city as the first wave began to close in.

Off the coast of Libya the Parthian fleet began to retreat, fleeing for saftey in Port Said until the canal could be fixed so they could return to New Persepolis.

Over 1,000 B-52s pounded Parthian positions as 7,000 F-16Ds flew into the air along with 200 F-35s to achieve total air supremacy. The city also saw over 50,000 more ex-CMB members begin throwing themselves into enemy troop concentrations and under tanks and detonating "Explosives" (OOC- this will be a common tactic)

The T-98s were more than a match for all of the Parthian tanks except the R-409s, but the 409s were over twice the weight and twice as slow as the T-98s. The T-98s suffered over 300 losses but they managed to maneuver over 200 tanks behind the R-409s and slammed hundreds of rounds into the rear armor of hundreds of R-409s.

Patriot batteries unleashed 1600 missiles at the planes above after 35,000 troops had been "killed". 3500 F-16s and 800 F-22s followed in and unleashed AIRAAMS on the incoming planes (2 per plane, 8600 more missiles). Before closing to engage with sidewinders.

On the ground 100 tanks had been disabled or destroyed by the CBW attacks over 300 APCs and 5000 infantry were also gone. The Parthian tanks continued to pound at the T-98s, firing mock DU shells at the massive armoured behemoths. R-409s stood a chance however, their massive 155mm cannons fired shells able to penetrate the armor of the most well-armoured structures. But they were outmanouvered, tanks were firing shells into their rears... not that it mattered, it had depleted uranium/ steel armor all over the tank and could really only be penetrated by a DU sabot round to the rear.

Over 800 F-16Ds were listed as "Downed" and returned to base. Around the city the now approximately 2 million soldiers, 3,000 T-98s, and 12,000 BMP3s, along with 15,000 155mm both towed and SPA, dug into positions and began to hammer the Parthian forces trapped in the city. The parthian forces in the city were also being harassed and pinned down by AT teams, snipers, and sapper units.
