In a stunning development yesterday afternoon, the election of the House of Seryown put the office of House President in the hands of a well known white-suprmachist and Christian fundamentalist, Frederick Mason. Although this position is not as powerful as the position of Prime Minister or President in other republican governments, his ability to guide the Houses's decision process could lead to an era of racism inside the country. Other House positions were filled by notable imperialists as concerns about overpopulation in the small holdings of Seryown grew. In his acceptance speech, Mason promised a new era for Seryown and significant changes for the rights of whites and other races. Other acceptance speeches preceded his, in which a promise of expansion into other nations was promised for Seryown, which were met with riotous applause. The news is spreading throughout the international community quickly.

A few hours into his administration, President Mason extended a hand to Premier Fabus of Communist Mississippi, asking for an exchange of embassies and an end to tensions between the nations.
