OOC: I recently got POrter and Lake Counties in Indiana.
Secret IC: "I want to launch operation Chicago Fire in about a week," said NW Indiana Province Governor Ben Tallman.
"We are almost done with the mobilization of forces," said Head of the Joint Chiefs Admiral Scott Dunsmire.
"Good," said Tallman. "I want to make sure the take over of Chicago and the suburbs goes smoothly. How long until we have the ships available to support the operation?"
"Pretty soon," said Dunsmire. "The surface action groups and sub squadrons are through the St. Lawrence and actually making good time through the Great Lakes. They are now off of Sandusky Ohio near Cedar Point, a theme park. THey are 60 hours from the Mackinac straights and 78 from the Port of Indiana at Burns Harbor where you will base them."
"Sounds good," said tAllman. "Too bad we can't get a carrier through the St.Lawrence SEaway and Niagara River."
"If we can build new locks in the future then we can. You will have 2.5 million ground troops ready by the time of the invasion."
The plan for the invasion was to take back the land that IDF's leaders were from. They weren't from Israel but rather the Chicago area and they wanted their home town back. Governor Tallman had been told he would get a choice of 1 team to own, he was debating between his beloved Bears and White Sox. Tough choice on his part, but a mission had to be completed 1st.
He had overseen the building of airfields and AF bases on civilian runways from airports like GAry Chicago and Valparaiso.
