The Borderlands of Naxivan today announced its national defence company, Naxarm, had began production of the new N-3 "Sunburn" combat aircraft. The Naxivan National Air Force has ordered 24 of the aircraft with the first batch of N-3s to be delivered within days. Naxivan decided to develop its own arms industry instead of buying arms from other nations.

Naxivan, a small nation located in the Caucaus region, only recently gained independence from the United Socialist States of Drabikstan. The N-3 "Sunburn" is based on the Russian-built Su-22 "Fitter-F". While the aircraft is outdated compared to the latest generation fighters, the N-3 "Sunburn" fighter-bomber is an important first step for Naxivan's arms industry. Naxarm has said it is interested in co-developing weaponary with other nations.

Wow, someone with the creativity to reincarnate an old fighter (in a realistic sense even!). Tagged! And Kudos!

Very nice. We do hope you took steps to modernize the ECM systems. Such a fighter has a large IR signature and would require a lot of flares. IIRC, IRL, the most recent Fitter versions carried 192 flares.

Hmmm....Would you be willing to give us the technology of your Rocket Planes? As of yet we only have prop engines. We seek to compete with the rest of the world, but our technology is sorely lacking.

Hmmm....Would you be willing to give us the technology of your Rocket Planes? As of yet we only have prop engines. We seek to compete with the rest of the world, but our technology is sorely lacking.

OOC: Currently at ww2 tech Naxarm is willing to provide you with a single Lyulka AL-21F-3 turbojet. This should allow you to develop your own jet engines.

Further more, Naxarm is willing to provide you with an entire N-3 "Sunburn" fighter-bomber for a discount price.

Naxivan's national arms company, Naxarm, has completed the upgrade of 24 Su-9 "Fishpot" interceptors for the Drabikstani Air Force. All of the fighters have now returned to active service. The last two upgraded Su-9s arrived at the Enilegnave air base from Naxivan yesterday. The upgrades allow the outdated fighter to carry the latest armaments. It also provides modern radar capabilities and new avionics.

Drabikstan's Air Force spokesman Yuri Cherneko applauded the upgrades. "The Su-9s are now capable aircraft and provide an important air interceptor capability alongside our MiG-21s and MiG-29s," he stated.
