Right, I do not have time to maintain a map, so if anyone here is good with Photoshop (or whatever), please could they make and maintain a map with all the colours showing different nations?

Calling the world Terra is, I think, short sighted, and will only create confusion. There is no reason to do so.

Actually, your reasons are anything but obvious.

I may be interested in staking a claim, but I'll need to know more, like, for starters, where it's located. What the rest of the star system is like would also be nice, tho I suspect that you'll just copy the solar system.

Any tech and/or race/species restrictions are also desirible. Oh, and will you be meddeling in our affairs, or are we free to proceed as desired after things get settled?

In fact, unless this is suposed to be an RP continuum entirly seperate from the rest of NS, there really should be some kind of IC explination, or OOC explination for how this will work ICly, so we can better tie this in with the rest of our respective nations.

Ah, well, I guess I'm out; I'm a space nation, with an absurd diversity in my population(everything from dragons to sentient mold, tho I could easily limit races to hunamoid 'by chance').

And, um, if it's modern tech, how can you have an military base on another world? That'd be rather impractical with modern technology; impossible, even, if it's suposed to be secret.

Ah, well, I made the name a hyperlink, so click it and go read; it's one of the best sci-fi webcomics on the net, IMHO.

As for being a 'maintainer'? Eh, I have the tech, but that wouldn't really jive with my nation. Uniphase Armouries Interversal, a Kanuckistani mega-corperation, might do it for money, tho. Either charging folks to use it, or charging you to maintain it.

Rather than teleporting directly to someone's nation, you'd probally want to locate a transfer station on Earth; say, a floating city type-arrangement, off the coast of Madagascar on Earth. Or there could be teleportation stations located in each of the Earth nations with land on Terra, with all the 'other side' stations on Terra located on Madagascar. There are strategic implications to consider, afterall.


As for land, how about about Greenland, and all the Canadian islands in the Arctic Ocean? A big chunk of land, but it's pretty much all wasteland anyway, eh? And well out of anyone's way.

Being that IN is probably getting overwhelmed with all these requests, I'll try to give him a hand. That is waaaaaaaay too many countries for you, seeing as you were just made this month. He may allow you to have one larger country and one smaller country, at the most. You practically claimed the entire continent, besides Brazil and Uruguay.

10 Billion/year base cost + 1 billion/year per nation for their individual instalations, with no up front costs, should be fair. That acounts for hardware and facility construction, power, personel, and maintaince.

You can pay it yourself or collect from individual nations to spread the costs out at your discretion; as a corperation, UAI doesn't really care where the money comes from.

And remember, the government of Kanuckistan isn't involved in this.

This is a map of the world. As you can see, I only have colors on it for now. I also deleted the national borders because, since we are colonizing a different planet, it is highly unlikely that both worlds would have the same borders. The borders that everyone has now, are the new nations that will form, etc... Anyways, I'll add in little boxes of colors, with nations' names next to them (a key) today. This is just the first draft, so bear in mind, it probably doesn't look very well. I will also be adding regional maps. Please be patient.

I figured you'd have wanted more land to colonize, rather than mountains. You can't really do much with those...

Mountains are nice for my skaven, but so is fertile land, which is why I was so happy when IN threw all in the middle too(which is also why I'm not bothering IN for more land).

I congratulate you for your efforts, not many non-English speaking people (as a primary language) play NS, and I think it is good to have a wider cultural range of players.
