Al-Revir joins Commonwealth, Recognises Queen

Al-Revir has in a stunning move officialy rejoined The Commonwealth of Nations (foremerly the British Commonwealth) it was announced today by the Quartz Palace. Al-Revir of course was a former British colony and has maintained close links with that country, including the recent order of a force of Harrier 'Jump Jet' aircfrat for the RRAC (Royal Al-Revirian Air Corps).

In a televised speech Sultan Mus'ad spoke of the brave new future for the Revirian people in the Commonwealth.

"My subjects... I have in consultation with my advisors decided to restore the position of the Queen Elizabeth III of Great Britain as Queen of Al-Revir. Henceforth Al-Revir shall once again be a Dominion as we were between 1896 and 1954. The house of Ibn Nasim shall continue to rule as a form of govenor generalship and the title of 'Sultan' shall remain..."

Al-Revirian officials have sent the priceless Falcon Crown of Al-Revir to London so that Queen Elizabeth may be crowned Queen of Al-Revir in the near future.
