Gunfire was heard in the streets of Havana today, as police officers chased a car that apparently had a broken tail light from the country-side into the dock area, where the 2 suspects ditched the car and ran into a seemingly abandoned wharf building. 3 officers pursued and were immediately killed by hostile fire upon entering the building, which turned out to be a base of operations for as many as 20 drug dealers and possible terrorists. 2 more officers were killed when a rocket-propelled grenade was fired from the building at the patrol car they were behind. More officers soon arrived on the scene and exchanged fire with the criminals. After 2 hours of fighting, when night came, a reported 8 Ithraxian Tactical Anti-Terrorist Special Operations (ITATSO) operatives raided the building. The attack lasted less than 5 minutes before all of the threats were taken down. 1 operative was killed in the attack when a hispanic male ambushed him with a high caliber assault weapon from a balcony above. The names of the oficers that were killed are not being given at this time.
"There were enough drugs and weapons at the site to know the unknown men had been recieving illicit goods for at least 3 months," stated Hunter Johnson, the Secretary of Law and Order. The police do not currently know how the materials were transported without being caught. Updates will come regularly.
