In an emegergeny meeting today it was announced that the Markacian government are having difficulty on what to do with gang leader Dave Poindexter.

It has been found by Police Intelligence that although Poindexter has been in jail for the past eight years for First Degree murder he still is in total control of his gang outsode of prison. Poindexter is forcing his gang members to register for voting and getting them to vote for his right hand man who is due to run in the upcoming elections.

The Markacian government fears Poindexters right hand man becoming part of the elected committee and is deciding between one of two ideas.

1) Let Poindexter carry on a he is, hoping that the candidate doesn't win and once Poindexter has commited another crime put him into isolation for the rest of his sentence.

2) Ban any member of any gang from running for the Elected Committee. This is the least favourite of ideas as it surpresses political freedom.

OOC: Well you could do what the FBI did to the KKK (example): Kill them with bombs, snipers, and anyother means. In my opinion kill the right hand man discretly(?) and wait for the gang to uprise, then kill them off. Turetel used to have gang problems until they were either blown to pieces, in cuffs/isolation, or with a bullet between the eyes. (Just some helpful hints)

THe Markacian Home Office has decided to let Poindexter carry on as he is while the police carries out intelligence reports and surveillance on his gang members and will come down hard on any that are found to be breaking the law.

The Empire of Layarteb, had this been the case in our empire though we don't have elections, would have put him in solitary for the rest of his life at a prison that is completely classified and known to no one.

Dave Poindexter after extensive police investigations has been arrested and charged with the conspiracy to conduct a criminal enterprise.

At the time of his arrest Poindexter commented "The Markacian political machine can't control the apathetic vote, and that's what I was advocating that we wake up- street gang members, people who live in the projects, homeless...Mayor Daley is afraid of me because he understands the potential of the type of movement I'm tryin to push..."

He also said "" I realized that these street gangs could be the salvation of the community, because street gangs were at the core of most of the negative things goin on....If the leadership would start thinking positive then they could redirect that negative energy and become a viable part of the community. You can't deal with street organizations from the outside....I've ben out there, I've done everything they have. I've robbed and been shot...so they can relate to me."
