Sultan Mus'ad to open international relations

Wild scenes of jubilation today in the capital as 24 year old Sultan Mus'ad Ibn Nasim made his first public appearance as Sultan since the death of his father Nasim last week. In an hour long speech televised speech from his personal office in the Quartz Palace in Qaraja the new Sultan informed his people that considerable changes would be taking place in the nation's foreign policy.

"My beloved subjects... my late father was a great man and a fine ruler but his policy of isolation is no longer appropriate in todays world. If Al-Revir is to thrive we must seek out other nations and open diplomatic relations with them. Doubtless many of you are afraid of outward corrupting influences from the barbarian, infidel world of the West, East, North and South, but I asure you that we shall be bringing our belief in the three great public observances: Virtue, chastity, piety. I am sure we are strong enough in our faith in Allah to resist the sirens. Besides the outside world is not entirely lacking in qualities: like many of you I have been on tenderhooks these past few weeks over our top rated show, which need I remind you is a new important from the United States of America. Yes I too can hardly wait to see who it was who shot JR in the brand new Season of Dallas..."

The Sultan also spoke on matters of millitary service, reassuring the Sultanate that the draft that provides much needed work for our young men is to be retained. Upon completing his speech the Sultan went out to the Palace balcony and waved to the cheering thousands thronging the Royal Square below.

Palace sources have indicated that His Majesty could choose and appoint a Cabinet as swiftly as next week.

FUHRER'S OFFICE:

I will immediately begin to put troops on alert to send to you to establish a Counter-Terrorism and Intelligence gathering unti for Al-Revir.

The Unit will be based around 4 Squadrons, each having their own speciality, but overall specialising in CT operations.

The Intelligence Unit will be trained by a Federal Agency, the Hirgizstanian Central Intelligence Agency. They will be trained in basic CT and highly expert in technology-based intelligence gathering as well as advanced ground work.



The COH will monitor the terrorist cells in Al-Rveir until such a time as we can hand over this duty to the Al-Revir authorities.

The units that will be sent will be, B and E Squadron of the 1st SFOD-D (Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta). B Squadron are CT Assaulters and E Squadron are Snipers.
We will also be sending the 9th Special Forces Group, 9th SFG (Airborne). They are Green Berets who specialise in CT, Anti-smuggling operations and EOD Handling, including WMD Defusal.
For the Intelligence side we will send a team of Agents from the HCIA and for Intelligence CT Offensive Ground Work we'll send a few members from the CIA Task Force, 3rd Black Operations Unit.

All elements should have arrived with their respective equipment within 2 RL Days. Once inside Al-Revir they should be taken to the designated Training Areas where they will begin their work with the chosen Al-Revir units.
