Eastern Destruction: Clash of the Titans (Austar Union Vs Russian Forces)

Austar Union
04-08-2004, 09:51
President Madison stood at the podium in a world media conference being held in Anatoba City. With a grave face, he began his announcement to his country, and to the global community.

"Citizens of the globe, Citizens of the Union. Just last week, you saw the blatent aggression and imperialist attitudes shown by the leaders of Russian Forces against the Austar Union.

We have made all attempts at peace with the Russians, including trying to forgive their attempts to ensure conflict with us. And finally, we have given them one last warning to stand down from building their forces on our border, stating that we would ensure a first-strike against their forces if they did not stand down from their threats.

Now people, it is guarenteed that the Russians wish for war with the Austar Union, for they have stated specific things, that point they intend for a conflict with the Austar Union. It is only now a matter of time that they attack, possibly stronger with the help of their foolish allies.

We had promised a first-strike against their forces if they did not back down, and it is that promise we will keep. Thankyou."

-------------------------------------
Hugo Missile Center: Poland
-------------------------------------

Commander Robert Gimpson read the communication he recieved. Frowning, he walked over to the main control panel. Entering the security codes, he logged into his network access, and punched in the relevant keys.

With the help of several of his assistants, he set the details for the strike that was to be made.

<Uploading Orders>
<Orders Complete>
<Set Missile Course to Coordinate Set 11BX>
<Quantity: 600 Missiles (Cruise: Conventional)>
<Firing Sequence: Ready>
<Firing Sequence: Active>
<Countdown Sequence: Activated>

Just ten seconds later, Commander Gimpson watched as some 600 Cruise Missiles were launched, all heading to specific targets inside the Ukraine. All were targetted at the Russian troop encampments along the Austarian/Russian Border.

Turning to watch the radar screen, he observed the missiles close into their targets, and smiled as one by one, the missiles detonated...

----------------------------------------
In the skies just west of the Austarian/Russian Border...
----------------------------------------

"Stealth Squadron A, whats your position?", crackled over the radio.
Squadron Leader Thomas Anderson replied quickly, "We have a visual on our targets HQ..."

Not too far up ahead, the squadrons could make out the Russian Encampments along the border. It was a strong force of aircraft which were destined to make a first strike. Most of them being Harriers, they would be very effective in their strikes against the Russian positions.

As they neared the Russians along the ground, they broke formation, and began air-strike manoevers, firing every weapon they had at the Russians below. As they unloaded their payloads, the pilots watched with amusement as the enemy soldiers ran in panick. Quiet right too, as the entire area was being filled with explosion, fire, and black smoke...

OOC: Im sure many of you are aware of the situation... Here is the post I made warning him that I would strike if he didnt back down. I gave him plenty of warning. (Click Here (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=6696510&postcount=21))

Communique From 4th Combined Expeditionary Force Command to Austarian High Command

In response to your first strike on the Russians, 4th CEF has been ordered to increase speed toward Austar. In approximately 72 hours, the warships, men, and materiale of the 4th CEF shall be put at the full disposal of President Madison.

Additionally, the Grand Duke has begun moblizing the 3rd Combined Fleet and the 21st Grand Division for possible action in the Austar Union/Russian Forces Theater.

Christina and Gale were sleeping, in the same bed - which was a first for the two - when an aide rushed in and started shouting.

Gale woke up startled, grabbed her whip and snapped it at the aide, who dropped a few folders full of paper due to the pain on his now wounded hand.

"WHO DARES RUN INTO MY CHAMBERS AND YELLS?" she bellowed.

"Empress, it's a matter of utmost urgency. Austa.."

The whip snapped again across his face. The assistant yelped and began crying softly.

"I asked you a question, who are you."

"Stevenson, ma'am. Benjamin Stevenson, assistant to Jonathon Whitte."

"Hm. I apologize then, continue."

"Our satellites over the Austar Union/Russian Forces border detected increased military activity by Austar Union, and three photos..]Stevenson approchaed Gale and handed her a couple photos with a lighted top[ show the launch of what we believe to be cruise missiles at Russian Forces. We believe that Austar Union has made a first strike."

"That fucking bastard. Fuck President Madison. Send word to Russian Forces requesting our permission to help, and send in the 5 Fleets near the Baltic Sea to enter it and take position around the Bay of Gdansk. Order the 6 Fleets on the edge of the Barents Sea to assume defensive positions of Russia, and mobilize the rest of the Navy."

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Oh, and also make a generic condemnation about Austar Unions choice of action, and declare our intentions. I'll make a more detailed speech later."

"As you wish."

With that, Gale walked back over to he bed and looked at Christina looking so peacefully there. She crawled back into the silk sheets, kissed her forehead and exhaled a deep sigh. Closing her eyes, she fell into a light sleep before her now frustrating day tomorrow.

Doujin Intelligence revealed that Austar Union launched a cruise missile attack on the nation of Russian Forces. Doujin hereby condemns this act of warmongering and Imperialism, and overall act of pure evil. Austar Union is nothing more than a pupeteer, and Doujin will not stand for it's ways. Doujin warships are assuming defensive positions around Russian Forces waters, and will engage any target that attempts to enter territorial waters of Russian Forces.

OOC: JJR, I'm ignoring your Terracostes, because not only are they unfeasible, unreliable, and unanything you can think of - you couldn't afford more than a few, as the operating costs and construction costs would be so astronimcal that your entire GDP would have to be dedicated to your military. I will not be using any Doujin's in any conflicts that may arise through this.

President Madison frowned, those idiotic Doujin people were at it again, being the assholes he always thought they were. Nevertheless, if he was forced to engage Doujin units he would. Sending a message to Doujin, he said of his position;

"We wonder if the Doujin people are really innocent and rightouesness in this. In fact, considering that we have most of the international support, we question what kind of intentions really are. We are entitled to a first strike, especially when an invasion of our territory is seen as unadvoidable. This was only guarenteed by Russian leaders.

We warned them to back down from their threats and plans for invading us. It was them who initiated this."

In the meantime, defensive units began to spread out amongst the Austar Union, preparing for the Russian Imperialists.

Russian Forces begins invasion ahead of schedule. Vladimir Putin in his underground war room sits down in front of a giant cinema sized screen of the map of Eurasia. The Generals in the room stood up and saluted. Putin then gave them the plans and they were carried out.

THE RUSSIAN COUNTER ATTACK

THE NAVAL INVASION OF SVALBARD ISLAND
right now Russian Forces has commited its small contingent of the Atlantic navy that was looking after the barent sea to this small island. Right now Russian ships bombarded randomly on its bases with its ships, and Su-33's were dispatched to hit key targets. (40) Tu-95's took off near the Finland border filled up with 6000 paratroopers and headed to the island. They are meant to be dropped off at the Eastern half of the island.

Russian Response in Eastern Europe
Russian Tu-160's (30) were dispatched, coming from all over the west of RF controlled territory. They are protected by Su-27's (20) and Mig-35's (15). They are sent to carpet bomb the front lines, as well as nearby airfields.

Spetsnaz special forces (50) on 8 Mi-17's backed up by 4 Mi-28's moved in from and aircraft carrier near teh svalbard island towards poland from the north to hit enemy airfields and cripple radar stations.

Russian Artillary 400 BM-21's all over the borders begin firing on enemy lines without warning. This is also backed up by russian mortar troops and 122mm M30's.

Russian Tanks divisions (All of them) Are being prepared to use its tank shock tactics upon the Austar Forces.

Since IC we don't know what exactly is happening, we've offered aid if absolutely necessary, and that's it. Added to which, given the RF didn't actually cross your borders, didn't actually attack you, you're still the aggressor. He may have been being irresponsible but you are still the aggressor.

Open Message to The World
--------------------

It was never our intention for this to turn into armed conflict. In fact, our first strike was intended as a deteerant for the Russians to keep threatening the Austar Union with invasion. We gave fair warning to them, that if they did not cease with their threats, that we would commence a first strike. They did not cease, and we carried out our strike as we said we would.

We gave them plenty of warning, and as it stood at the time we made our first strike, it was understood that the Russians had no intention to cease plans to make an invasion of the Austar Union. Therefore, in a bid to gain the advantage in the war which was seen as unadvoidable, we made our strike.

The Austar Union has never had intention for conflict to occur, much less this strike. We have never had plans to invade, or even harm Russian territory. If the Russians had ceased their threats as we asked, it would not have come to this level. This is simply an act of National Security, to aid in our own soverign well-being.

However, we are willing for this conflict to end as we always have. Therefore we invite the Russian Leaders to Anatoba, to arrange a cease-fire, and in the long term, a non-aggression pact.

If the Russians want peace as they claim, they will seek to have peace, on peaceful terms rather than through armed conflict. We always wish to avoid conflict, but today, the ball is in the Russian courts, and they have control over the situation.

They may seek peace, or they may seek war. Seeking peace will show that their intentions are pure. Seeking war will only show that they are the evil imperialists as we claim.

Official Doujin Response - Austar Unions Message to the World.
"Austar Union attacked Russian Forces after escalating a situation to the level were military forces were engaging in excercises off of eachothers borders. Russian Forces merely matched what Austar Union was doing, and for this he is being painted as an IMPERIALIST? Doujin, disliking Russian Forces, is standing up for the truth in the matter."

Guro looked over at Christina while on the camera, and looked back.

"Austar Union attacked Russian Forces, killing over a thousand men in the process and destroying millions of dollars in equipment, and President Madison of the Austar Union would have them come to them and seek peace! Bullying will not be tolerated by Doujin."

http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=345415

Russian Forces made a reasonable response with building up his own forces on the border, and then announcing plans to build up defensive positions as he prepared to be invaded, not vice versa.

President Madison went to the stand, to clarify the sequence of events which lead to the current events.

"Firstly, may I clarify that in the beginning, it started as a non-military condemnation, in the economic assort against Russian Forces, because of their plans to invade Automagfreek. (OOC: http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=344835 ).

We stated clearly and consisely that the training exersises were not linked to the condemnation, and that they should not be considered as an aggressive manoever toward Russian Forces.

After that, Russian Forces began to build up their military on our borders, in response to the training exersises we had already said that we'rent an aggressive manoever. (OOC: http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=345330 ).

We once again denied that the exersises were an aggressive manoever, and politely asked the Russians to cease for their plans of invasion. We bolstered our borders of course, as a defensive mechanism to prevent the Russians from invading.

After a few friends lent their support to us, the Russians threatened to destroy any allies of the Austar Union who aid in our defense. In fact, despite our attempts at peace, the Russians promised that the Austar Union would become a sattelite state of Russian Forces.

Once again, we sent a message to the Russians asking them to seek peace over trying to start conflict, but this time we warned them that if they did not stop threatening the Austar Union with invasion, that our next move would be a first strike.

The Russians only continued with their threats against the Austar Union, and further promised an invasion of the Austar Union. We built a coalition to assist the Austar Union in case the Russians commenced their invasion of Austarian territory, so that we could be assisted in our defense. And yet the Russians only pressed for war.

Therefore, we judged that Russian Forces was unwilling to ensure for peace, and that the only outcome the Russians were after was war. As we had said to them, if they did not cease with their threats of invasion, we would commence a first strike against their gathering forces to gain a quick advantage to help in our overall defense. And so we did.

We deny all claims that we pushed for war, when in fact many nations will comment that we did just the opposite. We acknowledge that training exersises may have been the first reason, but we still deny that they are a leading cause of this war, the leading cause being the Russian aggression so many nations recognise."

Although we, Holy Panooly, hate communism we believe that 'Austar Union' took this way out of proportion. Mind you, I don't want to play the devil's advocate here but Russian Forces wasn't doing anything illegal.

Let's remember who started this and it ain't Russian Forces. 'Austar Union' started building up troops and Russian Forces responded like anyone would do, doing the same thing. This war is pointless and shows the blind rage and agression of a heathen people who only crave a mindless bloodlust and hunger for battle.

"It becomes apparent to me, that because the Russians are unwilling to discuss a cease-fire, that they never had intentions for peace in the beginning. As you can see, even in battle, we made attempts at peace, yet the Russians still continued to push for war.

Therefore, we have only one choice left, but to defend ourselves from the Russians who are now once again, the aggressors. We admit that our first-strike is questionable, but really we ask the nations of the globe, who pushed for peace? The Austar Union. Who pushed for war? Russian Forces.

It seems to me people, that it is obvious that the Russian Forces are unwilling to seek peaceful resolution to this conflict. And anyone who cannot see that are only fooling themselves..."

"It seems as though the war has begun," Rear Admiral Lisa Palmer said aboard the bridge of the ISS Freedom, the newest and most powerful warship in the Sarzonian navy.

"Admiral, did you see the numbers of the Russian Forces army," asked Commodore Charles Nelson Jr., her first officer and the commanding officer of the ISS West Scotland, the Vengeance-class aircraft carrier in the fleet.

"I did. That's why we're not going to engage their forces on the ground yet," Palmer said.

"Here's what I want you to do," she said. "I want you to take a squadron with you to the Black Sea and engage the Russian Forces fleet there. We'll arrange for tungsten rod fire from our satellites in the event you run into trouble. I want you to take one of the Glacier-class carriers and at least two of the Bastion-class battleships with you. Prepare for a missile strike against the Russian Forces fleets and engage their aircraft."

"Acknowledged. What are you going to do?"

"We're going toward the Pacific coast and we're going to bomb them there. We want to try to draw some of their army away from their positions near the Austar Union and then we'll launch air raids against them. I'm calling Navy Command to have them send the Third Fleet from Camewot. They should be on the way shortly."

Nelson left the briefing aboard the situation room and went back to the bridge of the West Scotland. His squadron, which included two of the five Insidious-class electronics warfare destroyers, set off for the Black Sea. The remaining Glacier-class carrier launched an escort squadron for the Freedom and the fleet that set sail for the Pacific.

Russian Forces doesn't accept 'Austar Unions' peace proposal? We are not surprised at all. Why should a nation faced with a threat submit to the aggressor? Who wanted war, with all the consequences? 'Austar Union'. Who wanted peace? None. That's right, neither of you wanted peace.

Your last sentence of your speech made us laugh. The aggressor talks about peace while he started the war? Don't kid yourself, you're wrong and you know it.

Unified Sith

The Sith convoy set out weeks before as the Russian Forces/Auster Union incident was seemingly going to escalate was nearing its destination. The convoy of seemingly endless ships had been passing up the Barents sea for some time now, waiting for their chance to reach landfall in Murmansk. The trip was rather uneventful, the seemingly famous raging waters that surrounded the coast of Russia was quite placid in all reality for this journey which only helped the speed of the Sith convoy.

The endless lines of transport ships moved in formation protected by the RF navy. Slowly the convoys neared port and began to make their landfall.

The first Transport ship came into the docks. The US Mercy powering down its engines opened the unloading ramps so the first regiments of Sithian soldiers could depart. The men having been cooped up within the now very cursed ship walked down the ramp to touch foreign soil. It had been over Seventy years since the Sith army had launched a foreign campaign however a request from one of Unified Siths greatest allies could not go ignored.

General Tyranus the 2nd walked up to the awaiting RF generals and military staff. Glad to see a friendly face the general walked up and shook the awaiting officers hands. “Well gentleman, it looks like we have a war to contend with. I was hoping it would not come to this but we have no choice. Premier Himler has sent us in goodwill, we will beet back the German invaders once again.”

The meeting with the military staff only lasted a few minutes, the unloading of the transport ships would take a few days so the men had some leave until then. The tank forces upon the ships would be immediately unloaded onto awaiting rail transports to speed up the move of the forces to the front lines. Hopefully this conflict could be resolved through peaceful means however the treachery of the AU military knew no bounds.

OOC: Just wondering why nations seem to think that we want to invade Russian Forces, when this is clearly not the case. Doesnt that come under warmongering, which is in fact against the game rules? Unless you give some proper IC reason to say why you think we are invading, your case for war against me is ignored.

IC:

General Anderson frowned as he read the reports. He never had the intention to invade Russian Forces. In fact the very reason he launched his first strike was to attempt to bring Russian Forces to the diplomatic table, showing that the Austar Union was not afraid of defending itself from foriegn invasion.

Apparently, both nations dont want war, and yet the Russians still press for conflict. Nevertheless, if there was conflict, the Austarian Military would fight it.

Standing in the dimly lit war-room, General Anderson examined the maps. The Svalbard Islands was expected to be attacked, but it wasnt strategically important in the war, therefore he would expect it to use its current defenses against attack. Nevertheless, he ordered a couple of battlegroups there.

His next step was to protect the Baltic Sea, and to prevent entry from Russian forces from that area. However the area was filled with Austarian Submarines, and it would be unwise for the Russians to send any form of Naval Fleet through the area. Any sea-force in the area would be instantly noticed and targeted, unless of course it was a neutral or allied fleet. Most of the Austarian Naval Power would be concentrated in the North Sea. That was the only area which would be expected to be attacked, and therefore needed to be defended.

There were other areas where the battlegroups would be positioned, but they weren't too important to mention as yet.

In the east of the Austar Union, in the Poland province, the military was preparing for some form of response from the Russians. Taking positions through-out the province, they blocked every major highway on the way to Warsaw and Zodz. Strangely, General Anderson decided to set the main line of defense in the south of Poland at the city of Krakow. Eastward from that city, only a few units and divisions were deployed.

In the meantime, in that area least defended between Krakow and the Russian Forces border, the Civil Defense Initiative was being activated.

All over the nation, conscription was being introduced. It would be a few weeks for it to be totally effective, however with the compulsory military service that exists within the national education program, it would be still an effective force.

General Anderson smiled as his plans were finalised, and the nation was ready for the response. He would not strike first, but wait for the Russians to attack him. War had not yet been declared, and he was hoping that the Russians would sue for peace instead of seeking war with the Austarians. Yet, if it came to war, the nation was ready.

"Welcome to the Austar Union sir. We want to thank you for your support. I assume you all understand your role in this war. You will be sent directly to Krakow from here along Highway 41. We assure you that security will be tight at this time, and we will provide you with escort services. Once again, thankyou for your help."

With that, the TAR forces were directed to the relevant places, where they would be sent to Krakow to assist in the Civil Defense Initiative there. Smiling, the officers loaded them into the trucks, and waved goodbye to them as they drove off down the street.

President Anderson entered the New White House Press Room along with the visiting King Robert of the Empire of Redge.
The assembled reporters stood and when motioned to sat down.

Before President Anderson spoke he had a quick look around the room at the assembled faces staring up at him with nervous excitment. Whilst watching the television this morning he had heard many reporters speculating that the country would again be at war, he had had a little chuckle about that.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. Allow me to start by firstly assuring you that we are not going to war with either the Austar Union or Russian Forces. The USIH will be staying neutral in this conflict. This may surprise some of you considering our past dealings with Russian Forces, but I assure you that that is all in the past now. We of course urge both sides to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible, although we think this is a far flung hope giving the nature of the spark that ignited the conflict."

He paused and looked at the King, standing at his own podium asking if he had anything to say, the King shook his head and mearly refirmed the Empire's stance, basically a carbon copy of its better-known ally.

The President looked back at the reporters "Any Questions?"

There was a scramble to stand up first and get questions in before the other journalists, eventually won by a blonde haired man.

"Mr President Tom Howe of IHNN, what is happening to the Battle Carrier Group currently heading for the Eastern Med?"

"Well Tom, Ive instructed Admiral Tomkinson to move as near to the North African coastline as possible so as to completely negate the chance of an accidental attack on that group. The Sabre Surface Action group has been recalled home from its position in the Eastern Med, near the Aegean sea." replied the President.

As soon as the man had sat down several women stood up.

"Yes Charlotte" pointed the President

"Mr President what is our stance to the nation of Aust, for supporting the aggressors in this war?"

"Well our economic sanctions remain on Aust, but aside from that nothing at this current time."

Another women stood

"Sir what is our position if our ally Dr_Twist is attacked during this conflict?"

"We will cross that bridge when we come to it. Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen."

This was the cue for the end of the relatively uneventful press conference, although as the President walked out presenters were already standing infront of cameras making wild predictions about how long it would be until the war was entered.

We thank you for your kind assistance against the Russian invaders. We are increasingly leaning toward not committing any form of counter-invasion, for we see it un-nessasary, but we will be simply defending our own territory from Russian imperialism.

We are well aware of the Barentsburg stance on the Doujin presence in the conflict. We will make attempts to keep any further disputes arising between the two nations.

Once again, thankyou for your assistance. It will be greatly appreciated, and rewarded long-term.

In response to the Independant Hitmen President calling for negotiations, we will offer the following statement;

"As always, the Austar Union is open to diplomatic resolution to the conflict. It should be noted that the Austar Union has made no official declaration of war against the Russians, and that we are willing to note this incident as a minor border-skirmish.

We will not be declaring war in this conflict, as we are not the aggressors in it. However saying that, should Russian Forces make a declaration of war over such a minor border-skirmish, then they are cheating themselves and their allies, and by taking the route of war rather than the route of diplomacy as we suggest, then they are in fact the aggressors in this war.

Of course, it will have to be a diplomatic agreement between both leaders which brings a swift end to the conflict. We are willing, but it seems as if our Russian counterparts will be engaging in simple warmongering by not taking the diplomatic path."

While we have been becoming increasingly angered at our russian forces allies for their increasingly aggresive policies, we clearly find Austar Union to be the aggresors in this conflict. As such, we have been authorised by President Raslin to begin mobilizing forces in chellian west africa and Mobica to begin operations in the mediterranean and russia to help our ally Russian forces. ASW planes and ships already roam the mediterranean, and our forces prepare. Austar union, surrendur to russian forces, and we will stand down our forces. Otherwise, sadly, prepare for war.

We are rather displeased to see the Chellians against us, for we have stood for them in many cases, even those which they do not realise.

We are always disappointed to see friends turn against us.

Nevertheless, we will not surrender to Chellian or Russian Forces. In fact, we are still trying to find diplomatic agreement with the Russians over the matter. Therefore we view your actions as blatent warmongering, something which is very much known and growing in the nationstates world.

President Mike Sarzo viewed the growing escalation of tensions between the Austar Union coalition and the Russian Forces and their allies with growing consternation.

"DontPissUsOff is on the Russian Forces side? And Doujin?"

"That's correct Mr. President," Jordan Diehl, the assistant to Senior Vice President Mark Lorber said.

"That bitch," Sarzo mumbled about the Doujinishi empress Gale. "I figured she'd be up to no good."

"They've been making peace overtures of late," Diehl reminded Sarzo.

"They also invited us to a sham of a conference which was little more than a trap set up to capture the IDF president. There's no telling what she and her minions would have in store for me if I go over there. If there's going to be any negotiations with Doujin, they're going to have to be in Woodstock.

"However, we have more pressing issues at hand. DontPissUsOff seems to me to be very reasonable. Why don't you contact their leaders and see if you can talk them into trying to convince Russian Forces to come to the negotiating table?"

"DontPissUsOff? Are you sure?"

"Remember they were on our side in the Kahta-Sevaris conflict and they endorsed our peace treaty proposal then. Perhaps they can get inside the heads of the Russian Forces and talk them into negotiating."

"Sir, the fleets are moving into position."

"What position?"

"Word has it that Rear Admiral Palmer ordered a squadron to attack the Russian Forces fleet in the Black Sea."

"Black Sea access is controlled by Turkey, which is under Dr_Twist and Russian Forces. If we storm into position there, it will be an act of war on our part. Notify the fleets to hold position in international waters."

"Sir?"

"Do it!"

"Yes, sir."

"Perhaps their holding position can be a way of daring the Russian Forces to fire the first shots."

"Understood."

Diehl placed the call to Navy Chief John Newman, who then called Rear Admiral Palmer.

"Lisa, your orders are to hold position in international waters. Do not begin an attack unless Russian Forces fires on coalition forces first."

"But sir, this is our best time to catch them."

"It also could spell the beginning of a catastrophic war. Order the squadron headed to the Black Sea to remain in international waters nearby."

"Aye sir."

Palmer opened the communications device to a coded channel to Commodore Nelson.

Chip, this is Lisa. Your orders are to remain in international waters near the Black Sea.

Nelson replied, also on coded channels.

Acknowledged.

The fleets set up in moving observation mode in an attempt to avoid being a stationary target. They also stepped up fighter escorts as the Third Fleet started to arrive from Camewot.

President Jeffrey Doyle was in deep meditation to the dark powers when his peace was interrupted.
"Excuse me sir."
In one swift action he stood up and pulled out the Blooded Knife, ready to throw it at the man who botherd him. "Speak now, for you have made me angry."
"Sir, the AU has launched a first-strike agains the Russian Forces. Cruise missles to most of the major troop centres in Russia."
"Damn!" He relaxed himself and placed the blade away.
"Do neither of them realize what they are starting. We still have our civilian troops in Belarus waiting for a war to start right?" The aide nodded his head. "Rally as many people as you can into joining our forces. If full-scale war breaks out, I want our men and women to kidnap leaders of both forces. Perhaps we may be able to force them into peace if we are in control of their dignitaries..."
"Yes sir, right away sir"
President Doyle returned to his meditation. This conflict bothered him, although it was not his priority. He returned to thinking about his missing Financial Minister.

"Zulu one, this is Zulu three. Nothing spotted over this click. Over." Said the pilot of a V-121vn, as his plane glided across the air. "How did we get stuck with this god awful mission anyways?"He continued, as he began to search the next click of sea.

"I dunn...Zulu Three, Zulu two, Large targets on radar... Gotta be naval... Sending you the coordinates, lets so a full out search. This might be a nice find guys." Zulu one called over the radio, as he began breaking downward, to about 40k feet. He flipped a switch, and his Exocet missiles activated. The two others activated their exocets too, and began losing altitude.

"Zulu Three, Zulu one, I got a visual...They're....Sarzonian, thats what the computer says anyways." Said Zulu two as he approached the ships. "Ohh yeah, theres a number of their ships." He continued, as it got in the sarzonians radius. He turned the plane around, so as not to provoke the sarzonians to fire.

"Zulu one, two, pull back. I'll remain in their radius, I got alot of litter time left." Zulu three barked over the radio, as it began pulling upward. The other two planes broke off, and began to alert fast-attack craft and the initial chellian naval forces the Sarzonian naval forces were sitting.

Vladimir Overdanski looked over the reports splayed across the table in front of him. He had decisions to make. If RF crossed the border into Austar Union, Artitsa would have no choice but to utterly annihalate the Russian Airforce. As it stood, Overdanski was prepared to send 7 or 8 Air Wings... around 4,000 aircraft to Austar Union. This would allow a quick interception from airbases in AU. The other 12 thousand aircraft in Artitsa could still strike RF, but not provide air cover. Now would also be a perfect time to test some of the new weapons... T-95UM2... the new SSN... he got on the Phone to Austar Union:

"President Madison.. it is to my understanding you may need some assistance? I can send you around 800,000 Soldiers, and 12,000 tanks. 8 Airwings will be sent, and if necessary we will mobilize our entire navy. We can station several hundred units of S-500 SAM/ABM batteries in AU. Should Doujin deciede to get involved, we can take care of his battleships, and anything he may throw at us."

Already, the Artitsan Airforce was locating positions of Doujinshi satellites, whether they be Communications, Radio, TV, or Military. Several missile bases all over Artitsa armed their ASAT missiles, should the need arrise.

In a concealed subpen in Northern Artitsa, the crew of SSN-84-01 waved goodbye to their families. The sub was to go on a new set of trials today... having already completed the standard depth, range, speed, etc, they were now going to test combat systems. They left the pen, heading towards the Jutland straight, traveling at a brisk 16kts, but remaining quite silent. Here they would stop and place their unique mines, and continue on towards an Austar Union port. 2 Shipwreck class BBKN's left the port of Kamskgrad and headed for the Artic Ocean, to circle around Scandanavia. They were escorted by a small Ul'yansk escort Carrier, 4 Sovernmenny Destroyers and 2 AMS-84's. This small force was to observe enemy naval activity, including Doujinshi movements.

[OOC: Chellis, just an FYI, I use a standard escort of fighter jets around my carrier groups at all times during potential combat situations. Unless your planes are stealth, mine would have spotted yours.]

The lieutenant in charge of the escort fighters hovering over the Sarzonian fleet noted the presence of Chellian fighters near Sarzonian waters.

"Command tower to West Scotland, I'm picking up Chellian fighters on approach. What should we do?"

"Monitor their activities, over."

The Chellian fighters began their maneuver near the Sarzonian fleet.

"Should we open fire," Lieutenant George Grayson asked Commodore Charles Nelson.

"Negative. That's what they want. Begin tracking procedures to detect their combat fleet."

"Aye, sir."

"Once we've got their fleet, send our fighters on a flyby maneuver. Use the same maneuver on them that they tried on the Praetonian fleet during the Kahta-Sevaris situation. Do not fire on them unless they fire on us first. Let's see if we can provoke them to attack. If we can, get the tungsten rods ready to fire on those Doujinishi ships."

"Acknowledged."

Nelson sat down in his command chair wishing he were on the bridge of the Freedom or the Isselmere right now. With the Praetonia nearing completion, pressing it into service wasn't an option right now. The rail guns on the Freedom-class ships could cause serious damage to the Doujinishi ships of the Chellian fleet without having to resort to the tungsten rods from the satellites.

The Praetonian Armada moved almost silently through the night. The ships' engines running at a steady 32knts. So far they had encountered nothing, and they would soon be inside the AU port, and safe. Helicopters circled overhead and AWACs planes flew miles above.

Aboard the flagship, the PWS Omega, there was much discussion about Doujin's entry into the war on the other side. "Sir, if we are to face Doujin's ships, are we to fire."

"No you are not to fire," responded Admiral Numibus Sabacco to the Captain beside him, "you are to raise OMP colours and attempt to contact their ships. If they fire then by all means return it, but I would much rather we just avoid them. As Praetonia hasn't officially declared war yet they have no right to stop or sink our ships."

"Yes sir. I'll bear that in mind," responded the Captain and he walked off the bridge to return to his ship.

"ETA to the Austar Union, Leiutenant!"

"16 hours, sir, at present speed."

"Good, good."

Appeal to the International World
The Empire of Doujin is appalled at the political spin that Austar Union is attempting to put on this situation. Let's just replay the facts for the world.

Three Days ago, at 10:51 AM Doujin Time - Austar Union condemned Russian Forces without reason and cut economic ties with the nation. Austar Union also began military excercises on the border of the nation, all the well knowing that to other nations that would pose as a possible security risk.

Two Days ago, at 3:34 AM Doujin time - Russian Forces responded giving notice that Russia would be beefing up it's military presence along the border in response to the increased military excercises taking place there. Russia stated outright that it didn't want to fight, and then went on to say that it wasn't merciful to invaders.

Two Days ago, at 3:52 AM Doujin time - Austar Union commented saying that they would not cease military excercises along the border, and that it was their right since it was sovereign territory. Doujin does not dispute this. However, the timing of the excercises worries not only Russia, but other nations at this time that a war might come about. Austar Union gives word that it has nothing to do with recent diplomatic developments, but as a nation that was just condemned by Austar Union, and in the same day having military excercises brought just outside their doorstep, they must surely have some distrust in Austar Union and not trust what they say their military is up too.

Two Days ago, at 4:05 AM Doujin time - Russia made an attempt to diffuse the situation by requesting that military excercises be removed from the borders, and essentially that Russia would respond by withdrawing a substantial amount of forced they had currently on the border. Austar Union ignored this, and continued excercises anyway. That brought about the next response by Russia.

One Day ago, at 2:35 AM Doujin time - Russia announced to the world it would build up forces on the border of Russia and Austar Union due to recent political and military maneuvers by the government of Austar Union. Forming Anti-Russian alliances and performing military excercises on the border which was meant to draw conflict from Russia, Russia became unsure as to their situation and decided to beef up their protection.

One Day ago, at 10:06 AM Doujin Time - Austar Union went International in attempting to draw support against Russia, and tried to paint Russia as the aggressor - who was simply increasing their security to a possible attack that might or might not happen from Austar Union and Allies.

Today, at 3:07 AM Doujin time - Russia anounced it would begin a massive defense initiative, and that it was taking a defensive stance in the ever escalating conflict between Austar Union and Russian Forces. Austar Union would have the world believe that this was aggressive, yet it was not an attack - nor was it initiating hostilities with the nation of Austar Union. Russia was merely protecting itself from what they knew would surely happen - an attack from Austar Union.

Today, at 3:51 AM Doujin time - Austar Union, realizing that Russia was going to be too well defended if they didn't act soon, launched the first strike - a missile strike, of what Doujin Intelligence estimates to between 550 and 600 missiles at Russian military targets, within the nation of Russia. This itself was an act of war, yet Austar Union would have us believe that Russia is the aggressor. Strange.

Today, at 6:08 AM Doujin time - Austar Union made a public announcement, and attempts to paint Russia as the aggressor, as a nation who has been threatening Austar Union with invasion - yet it was Austar Union to make the first strike, and it was Austar Union to make the first military move along the Russia-Austar border.

Doujin grows tired of Austar Union's spin on the political scene. Doujin itself has always been against the nation of Russia, however we do not stand for nations who attempt to lie and scheme to bring about a large armed conflict resulting in the loss of millions of lives.

Doujin will fully understand if Russia launches a tactical counter-strike in response to Austar Union's first attack. If Austar Union attempts to escalate the situation after that, after killing thousands of men, and both damaging and destroying millions if not billions of dollars in equipment, then Doujin will have talks with Russia as to decide what to do. Doujin does not want a war to occur, but we simply cannot allow the deaths of thousands to go unanswered.

"Dammit gentlemen, what the HELL is going on here?" Chief Consul Euman half stood from his seat, hammering his fists on the tabletop as he observed the members of the People's Military Council. Several of the assembled generals and admirals flinched away from his gaze. Not good.

Colonel Adman, of Intelligence, was not one of them. "Russian Forces has intentionally muddied the situation, sir. From what we can understand, as the situation heated up, Russian Forces moved large numbers of troops, tanks, material, etc. to the RF-AU border. SOMETHING happened there which convinced AU that their country was being invaded, so they launched off a pre-emptive missile strike. Now RF and her allies consider themselves possessing a green light to invade, and likely will do so by the end of the week.

"After I pledged him our peoples' support, that ass Austar Union had to attack one of the largest, most militaristic nations on the planet!?" The Consul sighed. "Nothing to be done for it now. We have never been friends of RF, but nor have we been her enemy. Until now."

General Tyrell spoke. "Our standing armies have been mustered, Consul, and are prepared to depart on your command. AU fortunately does not sit too far away from us, so our forces should arrive in time to counterattack and blast the damn Russkies back from whatever they can take in the first wave. General Vell and Admiral Pael inform me that our fleets on water and sky are also at maximum readiness. We await only your word."

Again Euman sighed. "Skepticism keeps her word. Give the order. Set for Austar Union, and prepare to give those warmongering, deceitful, Russian sons of bitches the whaling they've deserved for years!" By the end his voice rung out, and it became apparant he was addressing the masses, not just his Council.

"There is one matter, Consul, which should be brought to your attention," spoke a dry, reedy voice from the recesses of the room. Scientist Belli stepped forth. "Several years ago, under your predecessor, a USSS rapid strike team captured a recently-dead Sentinel from an AMF invasion and transported it here."

Gasps run around the table. None of them remembered that particular piece of news, so many years old (OOC: Although I could not find the thread, this did indeed happen and AMF did indeed allow me to seize the corpse, noting that the clone stock itself was not responsible for the Sentinel's viciousness). They all stared at Belli.

"Our first functional cadre has come into seniority. They are ready to fight. From the captured Sentinel corpses' brain we were able to determine just how to condition them for the insane obediance which make them so fearsome. We have 50,000 clones, fully conditioned, willing to follow any order, no matter how insane, as long as a USSS officer gives it." Belli gave a thin smile. "The Copperhead program has also come to a head, of sorts. By the time the war starts, we may have a few of them at your disposal."

Euman recovered quickly. "Bring the Sentinels, too, then. Take everything you can, and then come back for more. I have no desire to see one nation annihilated due to a misunderstanding -- or perhaps maskirovka -- and we pledged to assist them. So be it!"

USSS assets pledged in assistance to Austar Union:

2 million Guardians of the People (soldiers)
50,000 USSSentinels
75,000 Stosstruppen (elite soldiers who spearhead assaults)
60,000 Rangers (elite soldiers who infiltrate and harry)

2,000 Beheamoth MBTs (I can TG/email technical stats, as the thread was deleted, but these are far superior to every tank I know of)
4,000 Blackjack light battle tanks (ditto on the stats)

6,000 Cougar Infantry Combat Vehicles

500 assault helicopters
100 transport helicopters
200 prop-driven ground-attack Shrikes

Naval assets:

6 Peacekeeper-class aircraft carriers (each carrying 90 Pirahna seafighters, small but lethal, as they say, as well as some ASW misc. craft and a few helo's)
25 Progressive-class battleships, mounting 18-inch cannon and missiles
45 Mediator-class cruisers, mounting 16-inch cannon and missiles
12 Resistance-class missile cruisers
8 Shield-class antimissile ships
85 Defender-class destroyers
50 Predator-class nuclear attack submarines

Additional forces will be used to escort the convoy to AU, but not in the actual naval battles sure to ensure. Of course due to the insane size of the forces mustering, it will take some time for any sizeable amount of them to reach AU. The first convoy consists primarily of the armored troops and elites.

Available to sortie from the USSS are

300 B-1 Lancer bombers (modified)
600 Scythe interceptors
400 Halcyon fighter-bombers

"Well," Schützer replied angrily, "not a great deal. They outgun us by a long shot. RF's got some good alies, but...well, I don't know. It could go either way."
"In short we can do anything, is what you're saying."
"Yes." Schützer sighed. "Or nothing."
"We're already doing something."
"True."
The two men stood, poring over the great screen that showed the position of every unit in the armed forces.
"We could send out the Fleet to play. The Western or Southern Fleets could certainly make a dent in the enemy."
"Yes, but how would we get them there? There have to be hostile units wandering about, and given the tensions I wouldn't be surprised if they opened fire. I'd have to think what'd happen to most of our ships if they got hit by something like a Freedom.
"Yes. Could be a problem. But we have ways to deal with Super-dreadnaughts, and anything else. At least I hope we do. We didn't spend more than 400 billion dollars on submarines for nothing did we?" asked Jones acidly.
"No, I don't believe we did." Schützer rubbed his face. "Better won than lost, better avoided than won."
"Unh?" asked Jones. Schützer smiled thinly. "It was a saying my Grandfather had. He was a cruiser captain. He used to say that 'wars are better won than lost, better avoided than won.' He'd probably give everybody a belting if he were here today, literally." Schützer laughed darkly.
"We have to continue going for peace, Anton. We have to. Dammit, I don't much care if Austar Union was in the wrong, so long as they pay damages to the Russians, or something like that. And I don't much care if the Russian don't like it."
"They think they can win," Schützer pointed out.
"We all do," replied Jones darkly.

To The Leaders of Austar Union and Russian Forces:

We can only urge you most strongly to back down and negotiate a mutually-agreeable peace. A war between the two might hosts now assembled opposite one another would be a cataclysm, an event so destructive it would make all previous wars look like the games of idle children. Billions of people stand to lose their lives on both sides, for the sake of pride and paranoia. Do you really want that? Do you both wish to seal the destruction of your nations, to write your names in the history books with the blood of your own countrymen? I do not believe so, and urge RF and AU to accept a ceasefire and begin hammering out a peace agreement, which we will gladly broker and host discussions for if necessary. We cannot emphasise enough the need for you to lead your allies in backing away from the ghastly chasm or sure destruction over which you will surely drag each other and your allies.

To: President M. Sarzo

"I don't believe it. The stupid bloody bastards! Oh no, they couldn't keep calm and let it wind down, could they? Nooo!" raged Schützer. "Stupid bloody sons of bitches! And this when we're trying to get some sort of peace deal sorted out." He turned from the screen and gazed at the almost soothing red low-strain lighting of the War Room. Low-strain. The irony of it drew and amused grunt.
"Let him who desires peace prepare for war," replied Jones dryly.
"Huh. If Vegetius could see this lot now he'd die laughing. Bloody fools."

OOC: You could always do what Iuthia does, saying that a large number of military forces is being mobilized, maybe rattle off a couple division/corp names and such *shrug*

OOC: Point taken. I merely followed Russian Force's lead, in this case.

IC: The bureaucrats and bureaucratic aides of the USSS heartily endorse the message of Dontpissusof, and agree that total war is at this point still avoidable. In fact, the USSS would gladly agree to pay an indemnity to Russian Forces, in lieu of Austar Union, to cover the damages incurred by the latter's missile attack. However we do not pledge to withdraw those forces en route until a definate cease-fire is hammered out.

Although the first (couple) stones have been thrown, the USSS believes that both sides can pull back and fix one another's broken windows before someone gets battered to death by a hail or rock.

Chellis
04-08-2004, 23:29

OOC: The planes were at about 67k feet, and about 75km away from your ships when they first detected them. Your long range radar might have detected them, but when we came close, as in about 60km, we turned around.

Didnt realize you used things like railguns and orbital weapons though. Guess I'll steer clear of you, as I dont want to just ignore you for being spacedy.

IC: Operation Dragoon had been planned out for months, even years, though chellis had never thought about actually enacting it. Public outcry would have been much to high.

The oppertunity was there however. Chellian north africa was heavily militarized. AU needed to be cut off from the west. It was a gamble, for sure. The president was dead set on it however, and when Parliment had voted against such an action, he vetoed their decision and went ahead with the planning.

-The French Mediterranean fleet(Charles de Gualle Battle Group)-

"Ehm, sir..." A French Lieutenant stood at the doors of the bridge of the CdG. "One of our attack submarines have detected..." He stopped, as the captain of the ship turned to the man. "Spit it out god damnit."

"The Chellian airforce...Four hundred and some Air-Superiority Fighters... Two hundred Heavy Strike Fighters...Headed right for us..." The lieutenant said, with a very sad look on his face.

"...Merde. Launch the fighters, request land based aircraft to support. Ready all SAM weapons. Anyone who is not needed to fight the planes, begin immediatly evacuating. We will fight, but I dont want these brave men to die without a chance to fight." The general said, as he took out his pistol and walked into his quarters.

---

Four hundred and fifty I-4's, loaded with full loads(16) of Gemini missiles, and Two hundred and twenty five V-121's loaded with 6 Exocets and 6 Scalp EG's each. The French had launched some 120 Rafales to intercept, as well as 80 Mirage 2000's, all armed with Mica's. At 60 km, the V-121's launched their full loads of weapons at the ships, as well as important land-based airfields and military complex's, using the Scalp EG's.

The Rafales werent able to hit the V-121's, who had been flying low to fire the exocets. They quickly launched their loads and headed back to algeria. The I-4's were ready for a fight though, and a barrage of SAMs and AAMs came from the french, as the I-4's began firing their own missiles, to intercept and destroy. A fierce fight was in the works.

OOC: Will continue this post later. This is all happening in a matter of hours, so most likely it wont be a huge thing internationally before mostly done.
Iuthia

Seeing as there is still a chance to resolve this peacefully we will keep our defence forces within Iuthian territory for the time as to promote our peaceful intentions.

We are not entirely pleased with our allies actions within the past 24 hours and we are on the whole against such attacks, however due to the escalations made by both sides we are not entirely surprised. We would put it down to a overreaction from our allies, one which should have been avoided.

Never the less, we will do what we can to avoid a total war between both the Austion Union and the Russian Forces. We will hold our forces back which are being prepared to bolster the Austarian defence against any invasion attempts, that said we are generally opposed to our ally invading themselves unless it is done in reaction to Russian Aggression, even after this point... so we will work to assure that Austar Union will keep peaceful from now on providing Russian Forces is prepared to keep within their own borders. If Austar Union doesn't keep to his word of attempting peace we will abandon them.

We hope that the Russians Forces will agree to at least attend peace efforts as we do not wish to deploy our defence forces and we certainly don't want to be in the situation where Doujin is against us, we value our alliances, but we will continue to defend Austar Union unless they do anything even more stupid. It's our job as an ally to help protect their peoples.

He also promised 'annihalation of the degenerates who started the agression against the Russian people'. The Bisonic populace has been told to prepare for a massive war, possibly on a Great Patriotic scale.

The intelligence gathering AGP vessel, KNS Inconspicuous, had been given a painstaking overhaul and now looked like an ordinary fishing trawler of the region.

It was a large vessel, being 50 feet in length. It bristled with high-gain antennae and well-disguised satellite dishes, and hidden under the tarps for the loading cranes on each side were the ship's two 37mm CIWS cannons.

On the bow, the SAM battery, with four SA-14 man-portable missiles, had been disassembled and stowed in the crew cabin. There was absolutely no evidence of the ship's ownership or anything to suggest that it might not be a trawler. It was flying no flag.

The ship slowly motored into the outskirts of the disputed zone, crossing the line for international waters.

Its over-the-horizon surface and air search radars, among the most powerful mounted on small ships, were completely shut down, not even functioning in passive mode.

And the reason for being sent into potential harm's way, the men aboard did not know.

Liebermonk
05-08-2004, 02:18
Cynthia and Jason Lieber sat in meditation. Thier names were specially appointed by President Jeffrey Doyle as they were his highest ranking spies. Being twin siblings, they had a special pyschic connection, especially strenghtened by meditation. The candle between them was a rarity in the world. Made in very few place, one of which is Liebermonk. They flame did not glow with light as other candles do. Instead, dark energies eminate from its center, removing all light nearby. They both awoke at the same time and looked into eachothers eyes. The dark energies showed them the path to end this war. "Brother, I must go now, to the Russian Forces, and you to Austar Union."

"I know. When all is finished, return them to here. Then, we shall force the two to agree to peace."
---------------------------------------------------
Cynthia Lieber ran across the cold dark Russian grounds. She already knew her destination without looking at a map. Vladamir Putin had decided to place his war-rooms in an underground bunker. This bunker was almost invincible, except for one thing. The ventilation shaft. As she ran, she noticed she was not much taller than most of the bushes near by. At the height of 3'7" she was considered rather tall for Liebermonkians. She carried no extra supplies with her, only a small vial with a blueish liquid and a gas mask.
As she ran the two things clanked together. For fear of being heard, she unhooked them and carried them in her hands. Soon a metal tube, about 3 feet in diameter became more and more visible. In a flash of a second, she jumped into it and disappeared from view. She climbed down until she reached a large room containing many air heater units. This is where she would begin her plan.
----------------------------------------------
Jason Lieber walked into the Austar Union capital city. His job would be much harder. He would have to walk into one of the heaviest guarded places on Earth, and leave with a national leader. His plan to infiltrate the building would be to walk in as a civilian in a tour. Underneath his trenchcoat, he stood on stilts, as to not be noticable. Without them, he would stand at the average hieght of 3'5". The tour began in the main halls of the beautiful building. In the middle, he followed a sign that sent him to the bathroom. There he removed the trenchcoat and stilts. Using a power that few in Liebermonk had, he dissaperated.
In his office, the President of Austar Union sat alone reading reports on the recent movements by the Russian Forces. Behind him, he heard a wooshing sound. Turnign to see what it was, he came face to face with a small man glowing a darkish purple color of the dark powers. The President was grabbed by the odd man, and they both dissapeared. The next thing the President saw was the alley behind the building, where a lone white van stood. A hit to the back of his head was the last thing he knew before going into the darkness.
---------------------------------------------
Cynthia Lieber opened the small vial, allowing the blue liquid to turn to gas and enter the ventilation systems. Placing her gas mask on her mouth, she used the dark powers to guide her to Vladamir Putin. As she approached the room, she heard a few thumps. The gas had worked, all the men in the room had passed out. She unscrewed the screen on the air vent and dropped in. She grabbed Vladamir Putin and hauled him over her shoulders. She walked our of the base, but knew leaving would be hard. The cameras in the base would surely be operated at another location. People would be alerted. She would have to move fast.
She began her walk back to their rented apartment in Belarus. A SUV awaited her a mile from the base. Her first goal would be to reach that. Next, she would make her next plans to accomplish her mission. Hopefully, the dark powers would allow her and her brother to meet again while alive. Hopefully, the dark powers would allow the two siblings to end the war at once.

OOC: Well, it would seem that whatever Russian Forces is sending isn't going to be near what he's tried before, so if we assume that Iron Blood soldiers will become extra Russian Forces soldiers under the control of Russian Forces and so on then I can just assume, "Hey, RF is using more guys! which isn't hard for him to do but it does anoy everyone who is trying to be reasonable with their numbers, but meh, it's acceptable.

However, if he say, using Iron Blood men and Iron Blood vechicles which are described as being from "Iron Blood" a nation which doesn't exist then I the forces won't exist...

Simply put, I won't RP with any part of Iron Blood or accept their existance.

An undisclosed number of troops, tanks, artillery, etc. are on their way to crossing our border with Austar Union (Pre-approved by AU).

OOC: I don't have time to post specifics right now, I have company over, but I just want everyone to know I am sending aid to AU.

The ARSB has stated its vague support towards Austar Union in this matter although we intend to physically remain neutral in the conflict.

On another note, the aircraft order placed by Austar Union will be hurried to the point 25% more aircraft are produced each 6 months than previously before. We would also like to state, that as they finish construction they are being shipped to AU via ARSB-escorted transport ships. Some 100 have already been sent from current storage.

OOC: Liebermonk, can we not have leaders kidnaped? This thread is cluttered enough, and to kidnap a world leader will only escalate the situation.. Anyhow, there is so much going on here that it will be too hard to keep track of.. thanks

Also, Iron Blood doesnt exist to me, simply for the fact that he just sticks around to annoy people. That AND the fact that a HUGE majority dont recognise him, and it would only make RP difficult to understand.

Can someone make a list of each side so we know where each nation stands? I can do that myself lol.

And Chellis, I wouldnt recognise your troops if they came in from France, simply because I recognise that territory as France, and not Chellian Controlled. If you want to enter the AU, you can come via sea, air, or through RF...

YET ANOTHER PEACE ATTEMPT

President Madison continued to read the reports as the numbers of participants pledging to each side spiralled beyond rediculousness. Sick of the building war, he made an announcement to the world media:

"People of the world. Not that long ago you all saw the a first-strike upon the military building up on our border. We had not intended it to go to the level of full scale war, but as a simple warning to the Russians.

Indeed it was not a wise manoever, however we do wish to note that now, as an effort to prevent full-scale conflict from breaking out, we invite all leaders to Woodstock, the Sarzonian capital to discuss peace. We will be of course, offering to pay TWICE the damages we caused, one half of that to replace the vehicles lost, the other half as an apoligy to the families losing their children.

We urge the Russians and all parties to recognise this peace effort, as no more blood has to be spilt in this conflict than what has already. We will not be making further strikes upon the Russians. This was intended to be a one strike option. There is no need for war.

As such, I will be leaving for Woodstock immediatly. I hope the leaders of the world will meet me there."

From: Austar Union

We ask that the nations of the world recognise our attempt at peace to diffuse the situation. We also thank all nations for supporting us, however we ask of them all, including Russian Supporters to help the Austar Union push for peace in this conflict.

We cannot believe that the Russians could bloodthirst for total war even as we attempt peace with them. We suggest to them, that we cease with the tensions, and come to the table in Woodstock, Sarzonia, so that no more lives can be lost. President Madison will already be there to discuss the terms of the treaty. Thankyou.

A grim President Overdanski took the stand, camera flashes flickering. He raised his hands, and the growing roar of murmoring ended.
"I am displeased to annouce, any continuation of involvement in this conflict will jeopardize alliances. It is of no choice but to declare our neutrality in this event, and we must recall all of our military. Good day."
Vladimir Overdanski walked away from the podium, the crowd was still shocked.

All Artitsan Military Forces are being withdrawn. All except Submarine SSN-94-01.

OOC: That would be godmodding, plain and simple. You choose to make your nation in germany, but you ignore if someone invades through france? Maybe RF should ignore you as he recognizes Germany and Poland being German and Polish, and not AU controlled?

After the war, dont recognize me as holding it, fine. But to just ignore my forces coming through there is BS. Im not godmodding sending my guys into france.

OCC: Meh... A Man preparing for war doesn't have time to respond to his enemies in full detail about a cease fire, especially when rejected. Also im not sure if i'll listen to this Capture of Vladimir Putin. He is under the kremlin and i will be very sure that bunkers for protection for nuclear war would not have easy to get in ventilation systems. You have to face the kremlin guard and KGB. Anyway we should make a official post that who is in this RP and who isn't then close it because it gets too messy when to many are in this fight.

BTW I INSIST WE HAVE A WAR THREAD OPENED UP

ICC: Vladimir Putin accepts all forms of help from its comrades. Whether it is military, economic or political support, we will accept it. We wish for your troops a safe and warm journey to the motherland. Enter at the nearest port if needed, even Vladivostok. We could use the Tran Siberian Railway to get your forces all the way to the west. The people RF bid you good luck and praise.

Meanwhile: Telegram to Austar Union

We will not accept your cease fire. You fired the first shot and to not show that we Russians are weak, we will make your country pay dearly. You have brought yourself in a position that you can't climb out of. It's time to face the consequences of killing Russian citizens and damaging our equipment. We do not wish to see the AU people suffer but we want the heads of your politicians. See you in Berlin

OCC: Forget all Russian actions that were aggressive, just ignore them for now. I'll make a HUGE POST soon. I need to calculate my troops as well. Im never good at math.

Official Statement By the Union

In recognition of the Russian Forces recent statements, we can only be assured that peace itself is impossible. Therefore, we will not refraim from making strikes now that it seems that war is inevitable. Russian Forces made it like that. We gave every opportunity for the Russians to make peace with us, and to avoid the conflict. Yet they chose war...

I only asked this, based on the fact that me and AU talked about this war before, and I told him I'd lend him a hand, but I can't obviously, if I don't exist on the map...

But nevermind...it doesn't look like I was chosen to be involved in the actual wars anyways, so I retract my request.

I am sorry but i have had to say it over and over and over and i am getting annoyed that people don't read it... My Nation is on a complete lockdown on both RF's Boarder and AU's Boarder and will staylike that until there is a reason for change.
