Today, at 2:48 PM, rebels of the group Bvanite Aisetase stormed the presidential mansion in the capitol city of Alomentise, in the Commonwealth of Aisetaselanau and executed president Scott Bensel. The leader of the rebel group, Joshua Boniface, thereby declared himself King Joshua I and took reign of the newly named Constitutional Monarchy of Aisetaselanau. It remains to be seen the long-term concequences of the overtaking. At present, no laws have been changed, though that might change in the near future.
The ousted heads of state are being held in prisons throughout the nation, awaiting trial for undisclosed crimes.
The Bvanite Aisetase is a left-wing fringe group which was destined to "liberate" the country of over 20 years of Conservative rule, during which time the country grew very slowly due to broken immigration and foreign policy, crippiling the economy as many companies left for more populated nations.
The new king has called for the support of all nations willing to spair resources to help his newfound country, and to restore Aisetaselanau's economy to its former greatness.
